Title: Kiowa...pups Of Blasphemy
Kiowa - June 9, 2007 02:55 AM (GMT)
Dam's Name (Mother): Kiowa
Sire's Name (Father ): Unknown
Pack: Amarth, Betan
Pup Total: 5
Pup Death(s): 3 or 4...it depends on if someone wants to RP a pup from this litter or not
Reasons
1.) Why should we allow your wolf to have pups?
It's another plot I have going with Kiowa. When she was captured by the humans they did the whole artificial insemination thing. Poor gal.
2.) What are your benefits/actions as of being a parent?
Ha, Kiowa loves being a mom!!! Though the rest of the Amarth probably won't like what's happening...
3.) Do you have the time for this responsibility?
Of course, it's summer ^^

After some of my charries are killed off I would LOVE to play one of your pups! Oh course... that wont be for a while -frown-

(Larion's pack is a good excuse for deaths!)
Zita loves puppies! :) I'm game! Silven's a bit cheerier than she was when she was younger, she'd love it.
Hrmm, I don't know if they do artificial ensemination with wolves, but I do know they're notoriously difficult to breed in captivity. They'd probably try anything once!
Oh, and I had a thought: Ever notice how so many pups end up pretty much dead from inactivity? It's kind of like how only so many survive in real life. Amazing how laziness creates realism!
Kisu - June 9, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
given the recent jump in activity, I think more pups would be a fine idea...nothing like multiple plots going at once! ^.^

Actually, it has been done.
There was this show on Animal Planet once. They have a "Growing Up" series where they follow young animals from birth to young adulthood. One was "Growing Up Wolf". They inseminated a subordinate female of a captive pack, and took some of the pups just after birth to hand raise so they'd be okay with people. They were worried about what might happen when they returned the pups to their mother, because the alpha was evidently a rather strict alphess, and they weren't sure if she would accept the pups because they were not her own. Fortunately, the pups were accepted back into the pack.
So yes, AI has been done in wolves before, and successfully.

Well, I'll be gone for a month this summer but when I return, I'd love to rp a pup!

I'd love to play an Amarth pup, especially since none of my Amarth are super-duper evil (Rani and Kazz... you see what I mean, no?) and my activity is rising again! A bunch of my characters are about to die off soon anyways (but its a secret, shhh!) so I'll have a lot of time to sit around and do nothing but post! I will, however, be going to Houston at some point or another this month, but for sure I'll be back on the 4th. I'd love to play a female, I think... but I'm not particular. ^^

Alright ^^ I've decided that 4 pups will live. 3 boys and 1 girl. Names will be (male) Kodiac, (male) Wayra-meaning 'setting sun', (female) Misae-meaning 'white sun' and (male) Namid-meaning 'star dancer'. I will be RPing Kodiac. Descriptions will be written up and put up later when the pups are officialy up for adoption, but to give you guys who might be interested something to think about, here is a brief summary of each pup.

Wayra 'setting sun' ((pronounced 'Way-ruh'))
This boy's bark will be just as bad as his bite. He's rude, stubborn, disrespectful and doesn't care what you think of him. Wayra is the biggest and most dominant of his litter. But he's not a leader, he's a bully. Wayra is a rare color of orange, complete with a chocolate/gray saddle like marking on his back, as well as some of the coloration on his cheeks. But as a pup, he'll be nearly all orange, the color of the setting sun...which is how he will get his name. Wayra hates his weak little sister. He hates being related to someone so weak. And though he doesn't exactly like his two brothers, he still loves them and respects them...as much as a wolf like Wayra could respect anyone.

Namid 'star dancer' ((pronounced 'Nah-mid'))
As a pup Namid will appear pure black, but as he grows up he will gain rich, chocolate markings through out his pelt. Both as a pup and as an adult, Namid will remain a very calm and gentle natured wolf. He has a fine appreciation for everything around him...and he has a huge gift of empathy...meaning that he can easily understand where others are coming from. Namid will carry a very slender, lanky kind of figure. He'll end up being the 2nd to smallest in his litter. Just a bit under average. He has a big heart and loves all his family, including Wayra. Namid is just an all around, good pup...though he's not the Skah kind of good. Namid fits somewhere in the middle, understanding and accepting both good and evil. As a pup, he is often the one left out of the fighting. He doesn't stick up for the others unless in serious cases. He's the kind that will choose his battles. Because of this, Wayra almost never will bother him. Namid has very bright, wise golden eyes. He's the type of wolf that will live a long, long time due to his knowledge and accepting of the wolves and other things around him.

Kodiac {Adopted by Me} ((pronounced 'Cody-ack'))
As Kodi gets older his marking will appear more odd. His bottom jaw will be black where as his top will be a mixture of silver and white. On his left leg he will have a long white stalking. Just a few among many quirks. Kodi will grow up to be tall, but otherwise average in size. The interesting thing about him...are the features, not the coloration, of his face. To those who knew Kiowa's now dead son, Miakoda, Kodiac will look very familiar. He resembles his half brother greatly in the structure of his face. As a pup, Kodiac will be 2nd in size to Wayra. He will spend his puppy hood sticking up for his sister, Misae, whom he loves to death. He will be the only one who really sticks up to Wayra. But besides that, Kodic is a very level headed male. He's sweet and caring....though he won't go out of his way to avoid a fight. Kodic is the one who always sticks up for the underdog. He's the one who will always speak up for what's right. As he grows up, he will find that, even though he loves his birth pack, it is not where he belongs. No...his eyes are set more on the Skah. One day he hopes to help bridge the gap between the two rival packs. He has

Misae 'White Sun' ((pronounced 'Me-suh'))
Misae is a fun loving, I care about everyone's feelings type of girl. She's very sensitive and very naive. Just by looking at her you can tell how gentle and soft hearted she is. Misae will do everything she can to avoid fighting...she hates seeing wolves hurt. Misae is a huge believer in peace and it will be her life long dream to achieve it between all four sotw packs. She's the type that believes in 'one wolf can change the world'. She has an unbelievable amount of determination. Misae is a creamy, white color...like the color of butter milk....which is why she was given her name. She has some of the softest and sweetest looking cream eyes((eyes that are just like Miakoda's were)) that you will ever see. When Misae grows up she's likely to be stunningly beautiful in mind and in body. She's a small, fragile wolf, not made for any sort of fighting. In her litter she will be the runt. It is likely that, if her brother Kodi hadn't been born to be her life long protector, Wayra would have killed her at an early age. Misae will love Kodi and Namid, but she will always have a great fear of Wayra. She will forever love her mother and most of the Amarth pack...though some of them, like Wayra, scare her. From an early age, Misae will have her mind on leaving the Amarth pack to join the Skah....though she is very loyal to her family and would never do so without her mother's blessing.

Awww, the puppy pictures are cute! I'm most interested in Namid B)
Citrate - June 14, 2007 12:01 AM (GMT)
Oohhh, I think I like Wayra. I might try for one if that's ok :D
Larion - June 14, 2007 03:34 PM (GMT)
I LIKE Nahmid. He'd get along pretty well with Silven, really. Can't wait until the adoptions are open, and my good comp's fixed! (it's not a MAJOR concern until school gets back in, but we should have got things back in order long before then. I can only post when my folks aren't home, but I can check in and write posts (on my comp, I can still write on it and save things to a flash disc) while they are.)
