Title: Khentamentiu- Accepted

Khentamentiu - June 8, 2007 02:04 PM (GMT)
Name: Khentamentiu (Origin: Ancient god that shepards souls to the underworld under Osiris' watchful eye)
Age: 6
Sex: Male
Mate: Mehit (Dead?)
Pups: None he knows of.. But some may be out there.

Appearance:

Khentamentiu is a wolf of a white colouring, a few hints of a darker grey spread around his chest, thighs and chin though he is not an old wolf. The fur is thick and bushy as he is of the arctic wolf breed. He has a large, robust frame and long legs with a long stride. His tail sweeps along the floor behind him as he moves and thus is rather matted and dirty as by the time he's cleaned it and mvoed on, it has been covered in filth once more. His eyes are brown and carry a hint of defiance at all times. His left eyes is damaged and had limited vision. His ears are a bit tatty from fighting, bits of them missing but, thankfully, each audit still mostly whole and neither one missing completley. He has a light scar above his left eye that can barely be noticed through his fur, and a second scar round by his hip. To look at him, you'd think he wouldn't be a trouble maker as he usually carries a serene, calm expression on his face though this isn't exactley accurate as to what he feels inside.

Personality:

Khentamentiu has a strong mercenary nature. He'll side with whoever will win and change sides at a drop of a hat if the tables turn. He will work for whoever promises greatest profit on his part, perhaps a share of power or being allowed to move freely through certain packlands in return for a favour. He doesn't usually mind what the favour is, willing to do the lowest of the low if it will further his interests. Loyalty not being one of his best personality traits, he will happily kill his previous 'contractors' if his new bosses ask it of him, not ever feel any remorse or worry at this. He is also happy to wonder the lands alone, not feeling the need to talk to or attack anyone unless it is asked of him although he wouldn't go out of his way to help anyone either. Due to his powerful frame, he likes to try and take down large animals on his own. Rarely suceeding in this, he considers it a challenge, almost training, for when he fights other wolves. He has, thus far, taken down a doe and an older stag from the deer family of animals as well as caused the death of a human's domesticated horse which ran itself down a hill and went lame. Although this seems like a sadistic sport, Khentamentiu takes it as a way to spend his free time when he isn't under the 'pay' of another wolf or of a pack.

History:

Khentamentiu was born to the beta pair in a small, quick moving pack, far to the north. The pack would never stay in one place for long, often sneaking into other wolf's lands for as little as a day at a time and quickly leaving as soon as they thought they would be noticed. This roundabout, never staying still lifestyle made the young pup grow up quicker then he should, taking matters seriously before it was time. He was no longer playing pup-games by the age of a year and was quickly taught how to hunt by his parents before this; his skill would be needed soon as he was the only one to survive in his little and his parents were aging. (It would turn out he was the last pup they would ever have)

His Dam did not birth again and eventually died of old age when Khenta was around 2. His father died shortly afterwards and the Alphess simply suggested it was from a 'broken heart'. Khenta wasn't sure how a heart could break (for he thought she had meant literally) but didn't question her judgement. Eventually, he followed his parent's pawprints and was made the beta of the pack, just as the Alphas moved on as well.

The young Alphess that had followed in her mother's place was a nice wolfess and Khenta was loyal to her in every way. However, her kind-heart was destroyed. A new brute came to the pack asking for shelter and she let him stay (damn her kind heart). This wolf quicky won the Alphess's favour and they mated, producing a large litter of 8 live pups. By this point, the new Alpha had managed to supress his mate into submission. She remained quiet, accepting. And due to the size of the pack (only Khenta, the Alpha pair and one subordinate) no one dare to challenge him. The pack life changed over the enxt two years. The wandering pack became a cruel, cold pack, asking to be allwoed to stay on packlands in return for shelter or food.

Khentamentiu did not mind, so long as there was nothing destructive that they had to do. However, eventually, they were asked to help wipe out a local pack. The Alpha accepted. By this point, the only subordinate was aging and decided to voice his opinion. He would do no fighting. His body ached and he was not inclined to kill. His disinclination to the fight resulted in his dispatch at the hands of the Alpha. Khenta was shocked but only mildly. He had realised the only way to get anything done was to do it yourself and he followed his Alpha to finish this other pack. This was where he met Mehit.

Mehit was a beautiful wolf of an age just under Khenta and she and him clicked immediatley. They loved eachother, they realised as the two Alphas fought and Khenta whispered that they should both flee together. Mehit agreed and they left both of their packs to settle the fight. They managed six months away together and Mehit was carrying pups by the time Khenta's Alpha caught up with them. Khentu defended her and Mehit was close to birthing. The Alpha got in a good hit to the white wolf and when he awoke from his forced sleep, Mehit and perhaps even his children were gone.

Alone and heartbroken, he wondered for several years and now continues the original mercenary job of his pack.. Though if anyone mentions Mehit or anything to do with a mate, his heart thaws and he feels anguish anew.
