Title: Ivy And Reaper

Ivy and Reaper - February 18, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
Name: Ivy and Reaper Serinol

Age: 1 1/2 years and 1 1/2 years

Gender: Female and Male

Pack: Loner

Position:

Appearance:To a wolf who doesn’t know her Ivy may seem to have fox in her blood, or not, depending on how they receive her. She is the size of an average femme, only skinnier and it is amazing that bones don’t show themselves in her cage. Her pelt is an amazing red colour, like a fox, but with white running through it (like her father, Samin’s and younger sister that she doesn’t know, Kyrupt) but there are variations in it, for example what looks like a white ivy leaf at the top of her right hind leg and the fact her ears are chocolate. Her pelt is sleek and soft with a beautiful sheen. However, it is thin and can cause problems in the harsh winters. However, her bushy tail helps keep her warm and protected against the cold. Her legs are longer than an average wolf’s and very slender, ending in small paws which hardly leave a mark in the snow. Her muzzle is narrow and pointed though the cranium is wide and her teeth are normal. Her eyes show no resemblance to her parents at all though, apart from the wolf-eye shape of them. They are brilliant green and show different things to different wolves. It depends on your gender and your relationship with her to what you see. Most males she sees get the same look, a sweet tempting look which has brought many brutes down. Her brother however gets all her emotion put into them. Most females get a cold, emotionless look which holds a warning ‘stay away’.

She moves with grace and delicacy. Each time she places her paws down it is with elegance and she has a beautiful curve to the way she moves. Her head is not held high but it is not low either, showing confidence but that she is not overconfident and her tassel shows whether or not it is safe to approach. Even so, muscles ripple beneath her pelt in a way which doesn’t seem threatening but seems powerful. However, no wolf, or half-wolf is perfect and there is one downfall to Ivy, when injured it takes a wound twice as long as it should to heal and even then most leave ugly scars. The worst of these scars is down her cheek and across her muzzle thanks to a brute called Scalor.

There are many differences between Ivy and Reaper, the most obvious being that Reaper doesn't have resemblance to a fox. Reaper is about the size of a large wolf and his frame is about right for a pure wolf of his size, perhaps a little skinnier than what would be seen as healthy though. Reaper is thankful he didn’t receive the same gift as his sister in the fact she is overly skinny as it would totally ruin his look. His pelt is a brown-red, the brown blunting off the fox colouration of his sisters. It is thick and coarse but has the same amazing sheen as his sisters, despite the contrasting textures. His tassel is narrow, more wolf-like than his sisters and is used mainly for balance in high-speed pursuits. His pillars are un-naturally long for a wolf but are thick as are a wolf’s and end in large paws which sink deep when walking in those winter wonderlands. His cranium is broad and he has a muzzle to match it. His pelt is a brown-red, blunting of the fox-like colouration of his sister with the brown. His pillars are un-naturally long for a wolf but are thick as are a wolf’s and end in large paws which sink deep when walking in those winter wonderlands. His cranium is broad and he has a muzzle to match it. Mostly his ivories are perfect except the front canines are so long that they protrude above his lower lip when his maw is closed. His eyes are brown, like his mothers but their shape is exact to a wolf’s. The look from them is always the same, cold and thoughtless unless you are Ivy. The look he gives Ivy is one of trust, friendship and perhaps: love.

He moves with great speed and amazing power. Each time he moves his pillar muscles roll with the movement. He looks huge, ferocious and terrorising as he runs though it is with amazing grace ad precision, his paws hardly making a noise as they make contact with the ground, ears forwards and alert, eyes open. Huge bounds and leaps which propel him through the air at great speeds. Each and every one just one of the ways he moves, each and every one for a different purpose. But, like his sister he is scarred. Though his don’t take twice as long as they should to heal they look hideous. His left aud is nicked, his face scarred, his back scarred, his pillars and stomach scarred. It would seem he has been in a great deal of fight and to say so wouldn’t be a lie.

Personality: Ivy has managed to develop a disguise for her true nature. She acts shy, hardly saying a word and hiding behind Reaper a lot to avoid any unnecessary contact with others whom she doesn’t like the look of. She pretends to be scared when, in fact she is not. Behind the disguise lies a monster. Ivy is truly a cold femme with no mercy whatsoever. She likes to lure brutes in only to throw them away again, scarred and mentally hurt. She trusts no one apart from Reaper, whom she has been with since birth. She has a deadly flare and is often seen prowling around looking for someone to torture, if not kill. She is very secretive and, even for Reaper, things can be hard to get from her and she will only tell when she believes that no one can hear. Though she is slow to learn most things she picks up on others very easily, if she likes them. She develops fascinations with things: people, plants and even the birds. She is truly cruel; her favourite torture methods being to make someone watch someone they love die before them, often killing the loved one in brutal ways. Be cautious of her, you may become her next target. She purposefully picks on the young and the weak. However, she finds enjoyment in watching others suffer.

Reaper is different from his sister and has no disguise. What you see with him is what you get. He’s a true killer, ripping the throats out of necks just for the pleasure of it and gnawing bones just for the annoying noise it makes. He has a high temper, often taking it out on those his sister has wormed out of the crowd as her victims. However, he would never hurt Ivy. He has this instinct to protect his sister from harm, wherever it may come from and often finds a joke in her disguise. He is not cheerful and trying to make him laugh will only get you looked down on. He has a slick way of putting things to make the other embarrassed. This brute is as, if not more, untrusting than Ivy. His eye is always watchful and even in his sleep he seems to listen. On a bad day he will go around, biting, scratching and attacking anything which gets in his way whereas on a good day he may prevent his motion to kill. He doesn’t know of love apart from towards his sister which is the love a brother gives his sister anyway. Don’t become hated by him, He’ll stalk you down in silence and rip your throat out before you can say ‘help’.

History: Erina Serito was a beautiful wolf. All the males around loved her. Every time she saw a male she’d receive a compliment from him. So soon she was convinced she was better than all the other females she knew. She thought her brush was better, her eyes were better, her smile was better. She told them her coat was shinier, her walk was more attractive and her voice was cuter. It was no surprise, therefore when the time the other females would not talk to her came. She didn’t mind though, the boys still preferred her over the others.

When Samin came she thought nothing of him. Strangers passed through there all the time but they never bothered the locals. The locals kept to themselves as did the strangers. But she had been in great trouble, having injured her paw while hunting she had a long journey home. Samin had seen her and with a smile carried her back to her den. Erina couldn’t have been more thankful and asked him if he’d like to take shelter for the night and he said yes.

The two got to know each other well and Samin stayed at the den for a few months, though he mainly kept himself to himself. However, the males had moved on from Erina as they had seen the look she gave Samin. It was obvious to them she didn’t care about them anymore. Erina had fallen in love with a fake. The disguise had worked and Erina had fallen into the pit like so many others. So, when he asked her to breed with him she didn’t even hesitate about saying yes.

Erina grew more and more pregnant as Samin grew more and more distant. The load was heavy and it became hard for her to go around her everyday life. Yet she managed for Samin. These were his pups, not just hers. But when the day of the birth came, Samin had disappeared without a trace and by the time she’d hurried around the contractions had started.

So Erina lay in the den alone, sides heaving in pain. There was no one to comfort her or offer guidance. No one cared for her anymore. She’d given up friends for love and he hadn’t even loved her back. He had never cared for her, she was just another step towards his dream of Serinol ruling. Just another step and she’d fallen straight into the pit without a fight.

It took a long time but eventually she birthed two pups. She checked the genders of both pups. A male and a female. The female was a beauty, a shining red pelt, though with a few odd marks, the main being what looked like a white Ivy leaf at the top of her right hind leg. That’s what made her easy to name, the Ivy leaf brought the thought of the plant and how beautiful it was. So the female was named Ivy. The male was more difficult, he had no obvious markings to give him a name but his aggression was visible, he kept snapping at her and it made her think of death. That’s what made her think of the name. The local wolves all said that the grim reaper is what brought death and so his name would be Reaper.

The two grew quickly and soon the personalities were obvious, in some respects. Though Ivy had not yet made her disguise she still never told Reaper anything when she thought Erina was listening and Reaper was the same. The bright and alert Reaper was quick to learn while the fascinated Ivy only learnt what she wanted to learn. Ivy found an Ivy leaf the day she turned three months and began to study it. From it’s smell and colour to the shape of it’s leaves she took everything in. Then she saw a bird, high in the sky, pulled an Ivy leaf off and dropped it on the floor. The young bird, not knowing the danger flew down and snapped up part of the Ivy leaf before dropping dead at Ivy’s feet.

That night, as they lay in the den, Erina’s soft snores were all that could be heard. Reaper’s auds flicked forwards and back while Ivy stared into the darkness. The two knew Ivy was asleep and that was when they moved closer together. Reaper could tell something was wrong with Ivy and asked what and Ivy explained what had happened that day. Reaper shook his cranium. “It just dropped dead?” he had asked, amazed. Ivy nodded. “Perhaps you should be more like the ivy: deadly.” He laughed and was glad to see a smile come to her face.

A few months later in the dead of night the pair slipped away unnoticed. They had decided they wanted to go somewhere knew and follow the wolf inside them instead of the fox. Wolves were strong and powerful where as foxes were cunning and stealthy. They moved quickly and soon they arrived at a packland, the Relon.

The alpha of the Relon was a large, powerful brute called Decote. Decote was a lone male who didn’t want love or pups but just wanted the pack to be powerful. His beta, Scalor, was a different story. Though Scalor had no mate and didn’t want one he wanted pups. Yes, pups were the only thing that would make him truly satisfied. He was scarred but large and, in Ivy’s opinion, ugly. Both Reaper and Ivy were accepted into the pack at a mere 7months old.

Time went by and though when they turned one Reaper was put straight into the position of Gamma poor Ivy was demoted to omega. In this pack omega’s had hardly any chance of gaining respect and the way they were treated was horrible. While Reaper tasted glory and power his sister was beaten and tormented but she’d always managed to put up with everything they threw at her. Until one day things went too far for comfort.

“You’re looking very nice today.” Scalor had said and Ivy looked down, not wanting to meet his eye. “Good, learnt respect have you?” She did not respond, she just wanted to get away. She turned to walk off but Scalor blocked her path. “For that mater, you smell gorgeous as well.” Ivy ignored him and tried to walk off another way instead but once again she was blocked off. “You know what I want, beautiful, I want you.” He said and her body was almost flat against the floor as she tried to avoid him. “No, let me rephrase that, I want your pups.” Ivy tried to run but found herself with Scalor on top of her and she couldn’t throw him off. She knew he wouldn’t get off her any time soon and though she had struggled to begin with she soon gave up the fight.

Six weeks later the pups were born and Reaper, who knew nothing of her pregnancy, was keen to find out what had happened. But Ivy had walked off, head down, leaving the pups with another feeding mother. Reaper was confused. “Ivy, where are you going?” he asked as he followed her but he saw the look in his sister’s eye, that glint of hatred. It wasn’t for him but for the pack and it’s lands. “I’m leaving.” She told him. “Are you coming or not?” Reaper didn’t even hesitate but followed her.

Till this day, three months later, he doesn’t know what happened to his sister and Ivy refuses to tell him. This is one secret he may take a while to find out and what happened has only added to her mistrust. But once again they roam upon a land with packs, will they join a pack or remain loners? Will anyone ever find out what Scalor did to her? Only time will tell.

I'm sorry, but only purebred wolves are allowed on SotW. I know we don't allow wolfdogs, so I'm pretty sure the same goes for wolf/foxes.
