Lady Montague here with a teeny little plotty-poo up her ol' sleeve.
Name: Eghak
Age: 4
Gender: Male
Pack: Loner
Position:
Appearance: Eghak is a rather small wolf with a slender build, as most wolven are from the pack he came from. His color is snowy white, except for two black "socks" on his hind paws. His pelt is of relatively short hair, but it is fairly thick. His auds stand erect upon his head, and their tips are slightly rounded. His blue eyes, which once showed kindness, now seem to have a maligned glint to them. When he smiles, which is not very often of late, it seems to be a rather malicious grin. His legs are muscular, and can move quite quickly when he is hunting or fighting. However, his normal gait is slow and rather stalking. His tail rarely wags anymore, but sometimes the tip is seen twitching. When he is really angry, his tail will slash through the air as if it were a knife cutting the very air behind him. His voice is smooth and low-pitched, but takes on a growly tone when irritated.
Personality: Anger stemming from a ruined hunt has brought this once kind wolf to the ways of malice. Once repulsed by killing of other vargs, Eghak would love nothing more than to sink his teeth into the throat of his own kind. There is a special place in his now dark heart filled with hate for a wolf named Buster, from his previous pack. Sometimes, Eghak will literally dream of being able to tear this brute to pieces and eat his flesh. He feels it would be a just punishment for Buster's foolishness displayed in their old pack. However, any wolf blood will do, and any time Eghak comes across a deceased wolf, he will feast upon its flesh. He finds wolf flesh more appealing than the flesh of normal prey. Although, to his utter disgust, he's never had the chance to kill another wolf, he has never passed up the opportunity to fight. This varg seems to get a certain high from fighting that could not come from anything else. He despises wolven he deems to be foolish, and would savor any drop of blood he might be able to draw from them. Although Eghak sounds like he could be crazed, he also has a calm side. Under normal circumstances, he seems to be quite calm, and only becomes crazed when irritated. He has a one-tracked mind, which could get him into trouble if he gets so focused on what he's doing to pay attention to dangers around him. Eghak is quite loyal to those he trusts, and no doubt any pack he finds himself a part of will have a very loyal wolf.
***UPDATED***
But now, little remains of the aforementioned personality. By some unforeseen change, some phenomenon that even Eghak can't explain, this wolf seemed to have an epiphany. He still despises wolves he deems foolish, with as much passion as he had before. However he now has a very different idea of what makes a wolf foolish. He even feels he's been quite a fool himself, in letting his anger get the better of him. This leads Eghak to have moments where he is depressed, not much liking himself. Sometimes he even wishes he were dead, however knows fate, being so cruel, requires that he live knowing that he had chasen a foolish path. But the anger that he once held for the packmate of his past, Buster, had disappeared, and instead of wanting Buster dead, Eghak now pities the younger brute, and his impulsiveness. He now holds the kindness in his heart, once again, that he held before the tragedy befell his former pack. Instead of blaming Buster for it, he now realizes that the ever exhuberant youngling could not help himself, and therefore what happened was really not Buster's fault. As he now seeks the Skah, the current pack of his former packmate, he desperately hopes that Buster never knew that Eghak had been so angry at him as to want him dead with burning hatred. Burning hatred that has now disappeared.
History: Eghak was born into a pack that was, despite his current tempermant, pretty friendly. He was one of the two males born in a litter of six, his parents being the Gamma pair of the pack. During early puphood, he was just as friendly as the rest of the pack. He was well loved by his parents, as were the rest of his siblings. When he was old enough to learn to hunt, it was noticed that he had great skill in the field. Even when not being formally trained to hunt, he would practice on birds, field mice, and other small creatures. Shortly after becoming a yearling, he was given the rank of hunter. This was a rank he fulfilled very well, loyally assisting the other hunters in bringing down large game for the pack. There was something else that happened when he was a yearling, that seemed to be the very start of his downward spiral into a darker personality. The Beta pair gave birth to a single pup and named him Buster. Buster was a gray cub with a black muzzle and black paws, and it was evident from birth he would have a slender build as he grew. While this in and of itself did not make Eghak evil, something else did as Buster grew.
Around the time Buster was a year of age, and Eghak was two, tragedy struck the pack. Prey, for whatever reason, became almost nonexistent, and thus a time of famine was born. Now, Buster had always been a rather happy-go-lucky youngling, seeming to be quite impulsive. Shortly before the famine, he got sprayed by a skunk while attempting to play with the woodland creature. Most in the pack found him quite annoying. Anyway, one day during the famine, a large buck was spotted and all the hunters, led by Eghak who was now the Chief Hunter, moved in. They were about to make a kill when Buster bounded in playfully, scaring off the buck. This did not bode well for the youngling, and he was expelled from the pack that very night. However, his exile came too late, as that seemed the only prey in sight. The famine continued, until a now very angry Eghak left the pack, deciding his only chance was to go to where the prey was and live on his own. He may have continued to be a friendly varg, however, anger took hold and he was unable to let it go. He was angry with Buster for ruining the hunt, and forcing him to have to leave the pack he'd known his whole life just to survive. He now wanders alone at three years of age, and his anger has brought him into the ways of evil. And should he ever run into Buster again, the impulsive wolven whom Eghak deems extremely foolish will find himself in some very serious trouble.
***UPDATED***
Eghak got to the Amarth pack and spotted a puddle of blood soaking the ground. The blood smelled familiar, and it made his feelings of hatred for a certain brute stir, though he knew not yet why. He inquired, and when he heard the name of Buster as being the owner of the blood, he knew that his new pack resided near the pack of the wolf he wanted dead more than any other wolf. He spent some time lusting over the thought of one day bring an end to the brute's life, but then something happened. Eghak found himself deep in thought, and had a flashback from his past. In the flashback, his parents told himself and his littermates that no matter how foolish a wolf's actions were, the only foolish wolven was one who allowed their anger to get the better of them, leading them down a path of evil. And suddenly, it was as if a mirror was thrust in front of the ivory male's face, and he realized that he had become what his parents said was a truly foolish wolf. Overwhelmed with guilt that he had shamed his own parents, though they would never know, he made a decision that he could not continue to lead the life he was living. He made a decision to leave the Amarth, seeking ranks with the Skah instead. Eghak made his exit from the Amarthian lands without a single word.
