Title: Apache- Accepted
Description: An angel in the snow...

Apache - August 14, 2005 09:24 PM (GMT)
Name: Apache

Age: Five years

Gender: fae

Pack: Loner

Position:

Appearance: Apache's coat is a swirling mixture of white and grey coloring so dark that it is almost black. Her coat is very thick, smooth, long, giving her the appearance of a well-groomed wolf. Her eyes are a striking yellow that seem to stare into the soul of whoever looks in them. Her tail is thick, and generally light in coloring, consisting of mainly white and pale grey, but it is tipped with black. Her bushy, somewhat short ears have white insides, but the back portions are dark grey like the rest of her. She is not fat nor skinny, but instead has a just-right amount of meat on her bones, giving her a healthy appearance. Though she dislikes fighting, it seems that if Apache ever did so, she could win. Her legs are long and well-defined, just like the rest of her body, and her paws are large, almost like snowshoes. She sports a long, thick body that makes her appear to be more muscular than she actually is. Apache's muzzle is thick, but is average in length, all leading up to a shining nose that stands out among the light fur of her snout.

Personality: The four words that describe Apache best are sweet, calm, quiet, and fearless. She has a friendly personality, especially towards those she is familiar with. Apache is calm, very slow to anger indeed - this gives her a mellow aura that often draws others to her. She seems to be afraid of nothing and often jumps into dangerous situations for the fun of it, and will talk to anyone, even terrifying or strange wolves, without showing signs of fearfulness. Despite this, she is also quiet and rarely speaks unless she feels it is necessary. However, when she does talk, she does so happily and excitedly, but never very loudly, as her voice is like a whisper. She enjoys peace and quiet, as she is a calm wolf and likes settings that she can fit into. However, Apache's favorite things are kind wolves - she finds nothing more enjoyable than being with a group of wolves similar to her in personality. She dislikes blood and violence, and thinks that peaceful discussion and arguments are always better. Apache's least favorite things are cruel wolves, for they are often the bringers of trouble, fighting, and stress.

History: Apache's life started as a good one. She was born into a healthy litter of four pups, and had two brothers and a sister. She looked just like her beloved mother, and her parents loved her very much and took excellent care of her and siblings. However, her siblings slowly began to die off and go through trouble. First, her only sister received a large number of porcupine quills in her muzzle and died of starvation not long after, as the quills prevented her from eating even their mother's regurgitated food. Then, one of Apache's brothers wandered onto the territory of a merciless pack while he was lost, and it resulted in him being murdered. After that incident, only Apache and her larger, stronger brother survived. He often bullied her for no reason, and she sports a permanent scar on her right front leg from when one of his claws cut deeply into it. Then, her father went off to hunt and never returned, and the family could only assume that he had been killed and taken away, probably by humans. Only one month after her father's death, Apache's brother was killed by a sickness that Apache and her mother never identified.

Everything had gone downhill in Apache's life. Now only she and her mother remained, and it was hard for them to find and catch food to support themselves. Her mother had many sleepless nights as she watched for any creatures that might want to eat or harm her only living offspring. The only thing Apache ever feared was the dark, and she would always whine when night came. Finally, the time came - Apache was a yearling, and it was time for her to strike off on her own and leave her mother. After she left, she began to find food much easier than ever before due to her great hunting skills and form. She attained a healthy, full figure that always looked rather gorgeous and attractive. One day she stumbled upon her old home and found her mother dead. Her eyes were closed and there were no marks - Apache was relieved that her mother had died from old age, and while sleeping. Grief-stricken, Apache ran away from the scene, missing her mother deeply. Though her hunting skills have decreased slightly from age, Apache remains healthy and, for the most part, happy. Despite her harsh life, Apache rose above and kept her calm, fearless personality - without a doubt, it has always helped her along, and it still will.
