Title: Perdu- Accepted

Perdu - August 9, 2005 11:22 PM (GMT)
Name: Perdu

Age: 3.5 summers

Gender: Female

Pack: Din'dea

Position: Subordinate

Appearance: Jet black coat with white paws, and tip of tail. She waves her tail around when she wants attention, because the white is like a beacon, but when she wants to sneak around through the shadows, she covers her paws and tail with dirt, and is almost impossible to see. But when she is seen, she appears to be a walking black hole, about to suck in everything it touches. Her coat looks "moth eaten" because her hair never grew back over the pearly white scars she received. Her scars are still sensitive to light, and she prefers to stay in the dark, where she isn't seen. She is undersized, but much stronger than her very thin build reveals, she can squeeze into the tiniest places imaginable. Undernourished from never being properly taught how to hunt, Perdu will try to eat almost anything she can get her teeth on, and being as fast as she is, she can get her teeth on a lot of little woodland creatures. Her face is long and narrow, and she takes advantage of it, shoving her nose into countless rabbit holes trying to answers the constant growls from her stomach. She often bristles up her fur to make her look more like a normal wolf, even though she makes up for what she lacks in size, with long skinny legs, giving her a taller appearance when seen from a distance. She also makes up for her size by showing off her pearly white teeth, whenever she feels threatened, of discriminated against. Her most interesting feature would have to be her eyes. With one bright blue, and one bright green, Perdu is easy to tell apart from other wolves. Perdu has extremly sensitive hearing, even for a wolf. She can her the faintest of sounds from a fairly long distance, and she often is thought to be insane, because she hears things that others don't. Her eyesight on teh other hand isn't very good, it is in color, which is fairly common, but everything blends together slightly into fuzzy blobs, although she makes do well.

Personality: After years of abuse, Perdu doesn't trust anyone or, anything until she gets to know them, and even after that, although she is fiercely loyal, she will always be at the edge of the group, watching for danger, and if someone threatens her, a chance to escape. After surviving all that she has, she isn't about to die now. She is always on guard, and will bare her teeth in an instant, but is very slow to fight. Her emotions are either white, or black, there is no gray. She is either very assertive, or very submissive, and she doesn't always think things through before she acts, which got her into trouble with a cat. Perdu shows her affection easily, if she likes someone, she makes sure they know. She doesn't understand how a pack works, for she has never been part of one, but is highly intelligent, incredible at problem solving, and would learn quickly if someone would just give her a chance. All she truly wants is to belong, and feel at home, for she has never felt that way since she was snuggled up next to her mother as a young pup. She wants to take orders, if it means she has a warm den to be in, but most of all she wishes to please her leader, whoever it may turn out to be. Perdu, however, is horribly afraid of rejection. She has no wish to harm another wolf to feed herself, and would rather remain a loner, than commit that dreadful sin. Although she has nothing wrong with killing anything else. Perdu often has nightmares of her old owner finding her and taking her back to his yard, sometimes she has flashbacks and will suddenly turn vicious toward whatever is near her, and if egged onto a fight she will give it her all, and imagines that she is fighting the old family, making her very hard to beat.

History: Born a pup to be sold on the black market, Perdu never felt grass under her feet, or wind that wasn't filled with pollutants on her face. Her brothers and sisters were sold to stupid rich people, thinking a wolf would be a cute pet. Perdu’s fate was no better, she was sold to a man with at least 5 chins. He was so large that his equally large wife had to make all of his clothing, and he still split the seems. The worst member of the family was the daughter. Her many chins wobbled as she ran toward the cute little puppy, and as she ran away, cradling her recently bitten hand, tears gliding down her cheeks. As Perdu got older, she only go more and more aggressive toward her “scum” owners, and she was eventually tied to a short chain that was stacked into the ground, as far away from the house as possible. Her owners stopped feeding her, they thought it was no longer safe to get close enough to set down the food bowl. She dropped weight quickly, and began to try and catch small birds, and squirrels. But what really caused all the problems was when the owners cat walked by her. She lunged, grabbed the cat around the back of the neck, and shook it until it went limp. She ate the cats gratefully, the warmth of it spreading over her like a blanket. There was no way to escape it, with blood all over her face, the cat missing, and tuffs of hair all around her, it was obvious what happened to the cat. The fat man came out with a crowbar, Perdu bared her teeth, but the usually chicken man, just looked back at his crying daughter, and beet Perdu, until the daughter lost interest. Perdu lay on the ground bleeding, week, wanting revenge, and freedom. Later, when she had regained some of her strength, she dug the stake out of the ground, leapt the small, 5 foot fence, and set off in search of a new life. A good Samaritan took the chain from around her neck, but when he tried to pat her, and ease her into his truck, she growled and snapped, intentionally coming to close to the mans face for his comfort. With that taken care of she resumed her journey in search of a home. She wandered all over the landscape, and ran into anouther annoying person. He was french, and he though she was lost, and gave her the name Perdu. Although she was never called that when she was youge, she loved, since it was such a nice change from "Tinker Bell" which the daughter called her. Whenever she met someone she would say she was Perdu, and move on. Finally, after searching for a human free land, she found the place she now dreads. She had met a handsome, charming younge brute there. Like a love struck pup Perdu gave her heart to the brute, only to have it ripped out when he ran off with another fae while she was pregnant with her first litter. Perdu struggled to get enough fod as she was slowed by the weight of the pups. When the time finally came, four pups were born, three of them were still borns. The little ebony fae that lives [assed ina matter of days, leaving Perdu completely and uterly alone with only a small glimer of hope. Perdu moved on wandering the county side, agressive toward almost every brute she met, and if she wasn't snarling and snapping, she was rude, adn never spent much time around them. Finally, Perdu came to the Din'dea lands, the land she now calls home.

Beautiful application, absolutely perfect! Welcome aboard. :)

I particularly like the name you chose for her and the reason she got that name, by the way!
