I thought since the site seems to finally be getting some profiles up (mine's done, Oriana's is almost done, Penril's is up) we ought to have a thread about getting our characters into the game.

Oriana, since we're both in Marloren at the moment, do you think we might be able to do something together? I can see her having to do a good deed and stopping Shem from being scammed/tricked/murdered in a grisly fashion. He's a bit of a country boy and far too trusting for Marloren.

I would love to RP, but I have to abide by my own rules and wait for one of my fellow overlords to approve my chronicles. (I think Seyira doesn't have access for a few days, Valandil is gone for a week or so, and I dunno where Vale is at the moment. I'll bug him to look at it later.)

Anyone need a horse? From Marlas? (Even though at the moment most people would probably need a horse to get to Marlas?)

On another note, I was wondering if the Admins would like me to create a guide to the horse breeds and types in Olencia. I didn't see much information on them, except that wild ones exist in Marlas Plains. Seeing as my character is a horse breeder and trainer, and in RL I'm a horse owner and am generally obsessed with them, I think I would be able to come up with a fairly detailed list. I have some ideas already, and you could veto or add to whatever you want, of course. Would you like me to post it somewhere?

I like the idea of horses having an important role in ceremony and whatnot, it adds an interesting twist to culture in Marlas. In terms of buying a horse for the wedding, I can get the annual (or bi-annual, or semi-annual, if you prefer...I'm assuming you'll have the High Seat, and get to determine when such fairs occur) Horse Fair in Marlas started, if you don't mind. We can meet up there!

I'm always willing to give help about horses, OOC or otherwise. Like I said earlier, in RL I'm lucky enough to own one, and I never really outgrew that stage of horse-obession lots of little girls go through when they're about nine years old (that is one of the reasons Rhys is a horsewoman, my RPing skills are somewhat rusty, and I figured it's best to RP what you know). Besides, if I don't know the answer to your questions, chances are, I will know where to find it or look it up!

Sounds good! Pop on in, if Tsuko will let me get one started (being on the High Seat and all, these things would need his authorization), I'll be at the Horse Fair! I must say, Dragon Horse Stables isn't terribly prominent even if it has some great horses, so it might be a good place to go if you need to keep your purchases quiet, or merely more reasonably priced than better-known stables.

Oh, it's kind of a double wedding (Tsuko has a nephew who's getting married too), so perhaps I could say Tsuko's already picked the cream of the crop from all the famous stables and is looking for more from other stables? Sure, sounds reasonable! Dragon Horse Farms would be more than willing to show Tsuko their best (btw, what is his title? Duke? Baron? Just plain old "Lord"?), charity or no. They're quite sure he'll come back for reasons besides charity!
