Name: Ranna Einhart of Olencia
Gender: Female
Age: 35
Occupation: Businesswoman
Status & Rank: Middle-class/Commoner
Roots & Origin: My roots both of my mother and father's side, we're all typically middle-classed business owners. My father's side are prominent bakers, and my mother's side are cooks and tailors. My father came from Haven and my mother grew up in Olencia. Both of my family's sides don't have magical attributes.
My family doesn't dwindle on political affairs; we're all pacifists and we just remain neutral no matter what.
Appearance: I have black hair that reaches my hips and brown eyes; but they look glossy due to the sad fact I am born blind. My skin complexion is freakishly pale and I have very rosy cheeks. People say I look like a porcelain doll. I have a very feminine figure, and I stand five feet, six inches tall. Men usually call for my attention due to my looks. They also say I got all of these because of my mother.
My fashion sense has a grade of zero. I usually wear my mother’s hand-me-down clothing that I can barley breathe to. But luckily, my mother taught me how to sew my own clothes.
Strengths:
~ Ranna is usually a passive person despite her cold façade because of her past.
~ She could sing fairly well because of her musically inclined father.
~ She has knowledge of the common household, all thanks to her mother.
~ Although she is blind, she’s very keen to her surroundings. Except for.. dog...poop *-*
~ Even though she’s middle-class and blind. She finished her schooling at the age of 21.
Weaknesses:
~ She’s very dependent on people
~ She doesn’t move-on that easily.
~ Childish at times.
~ Can’t fight, at all. She’s a pacifist.
~ Pastries and sweets.Ranna has a sweet-tooth as the size of a rock; but thank gods she doesn’t have any cavities.
~ Extremely Clumsy
Magic: Not Applicable
Personality:
Overall: Being born blind, it was very difficult of her growing up, being teased and all. She’s very soft-spoken and shy because of her in-born situation. She can be cold and immature at times; but she can be a great friend. She’s respectful among others despite what you think of her. She rarely smiles at times due to her insecurities of the past.
To Herself: She tends to be a perfectionist at times. Ranna is a detail-oriented and meticulous person. She is a confident woman that follows what she thinks is right and what ever her heart tells her to do. She's often times emotional and cynical even sadistic. And, no, she is not evil... she's just lonely.
History:
I was born in the outskirts of Olencia to Zasamael Einhart, a small business shop owner; and Evrae Rylai, who was your typical housewife; who were wed oh-so-many years ago. I am the younger sister of Kardiel, who helps my father in his business because my mother is busy helping me in the house, guiding me and teaching me the ropes on being a good homemaker at a very young age. Of course, I was having a hard time learning the things mother was teaching me because I was blind. My mother said, being blind runs in her linage; I was one of the unlucky ones who were born without sight.
I envy people with the power of seeing things and the beauty of the world. I only communicate with them through speech and at times my poor handwriting. When I was five, I heard my first insult, it wounded me for a long time, and I became anti-social for almost two years. And, when I was nine after I came from school; I received the news that my mother died from an illness. I was mad at my mother; rage just consumed me the day she died. I just locked myself in my room and cried myself to sleep. My father, elder brother and I were adjusting without my mother’s touch in the household. We divided up chores to each other; father has the job of taking care of the business and keeping things in order, my brother took the cooking part, because I’m a very clumsy fool; while, I took the job of cleaning the house.
Three years since mother died, my father met another woman named Shendelzare Silkwood; because he said the house needed a “mother’s” touch. Also at that time, my brother was now twenty-one and he eloped with his fiancée, Anika Silverglaive to who knows where. So, I was left with my father and that woman who’ll be my mother’s replacement. They were wed when I was fifteen, and my life at that point is a living hell. Shendelzare often pushes me around doing what ever she whims, like she’s one of those high-ranking nobilities and my father was just to busy worshiping her; while I was left doing all of the chores of the entire household. Often times my brother and I exchanged letters because he was living in Haven now with Anika and my niece, Olivia.
I finished my schooling after six years; people were surprised that I finished school with blindness. After a year or two, still coping with Madame Snob (Shendelzare), I bought my own studio apartment near the central market, with my father’s permission; and there I met my guide dog Orion. Orion is a great help for me; because he works as my eyes. Thank heavens I found him.
I lived in peace in that small household that I call on my own for a year along with Orion. Then my father sent me a letter that Shendelzare left him without a note. I went to my father’s place to console his soul and help him with the house and business. I decided to sell the loft I was living on near the central market and lived with my father once again.
My father died when I was thirty, I still kept his bakery going along with the help of his trusted employees and business was still on the go ever since. But a thing haunts me, I’m thirty-five now and still got no husband or suitor… is it the fact I am blind that I’m being avoided? Maybe, but still… I wish someone would love me for who I am.
Trivia:
+ Her family uses a system of writing that is similar to the Braille we use today to communicate with her.
