Wurms

Basics
~ Female wurms are usually two to three feet bigger than males. Their blood and spit are certainly more acidic, and they are considered to be the more dangerous in the species.

~ Female wurms lay only five to ten eggs per spawning, and even then only one or two of these mature into fully-grown adults. A wurm can only spawn twice in its life.

Terrestrial
- Eighty feet long, with tough shelled armor for camouflage. Hundreds of centipede-like legs. Approximately sixty feet across. Has fifteen rings of sharp teeth inside the mouth; concentric. May or may not have mouth extensions (proboscis, but with much more mobility; can be actually considered extra limbs). Acidic spit can dissolve a maximum of 50x40 feet boulder (females).
- Usually found along the foothills of the Barrier ranges; in the other Dragonland plains. Some strays are found in Marlas plains; how they got there is still unkown. A popular theory is that they journeyed through burrowing.
Staple diet: Meat
Elemental Weakness: Earth and/or Fire

Aquatic or Sea Serpents
- Ninety feet long, with scales made of lightweight bone. Gigantic, triangular fish head approximately sixty feet wide. Has two extensions at the top of the head, each one ending in luminous globules to attract prey. Powerful fins and tail for added power in navigating through the depths of the seas. Pectoral fins are said to bring good luck to sailors.
- Found in the deep waters of the Sea of Serpents.
Staple diet: Fish and giant squids
Elemental Weakness: Lightning and/or Ice and/or Earth

Aerial
- Smallest kind but deadly nonetheless. Ten feet long, with giant grasshopper like wings for flight. Ugly triangular heads. Streamlined bodies with a mix of tough hide and/or sparse feathers.
- Usually found nesting at the peak of very tall mountains. Abundant in the skies of Dragonland; several reside at the peaks of the Barrier ranges.
Staple Diet: Meat and Cliff-ghasts
Elemental Weakness: Lightning and/or Earth

Fire Wurm
- Toughest and biggest of the lot at 100 feet long. Armored with tough shell usually black bespeckled red in color. Very few are said to be able to breathe fire.
- Found in the volcanoes and lava pits of Dragonland.
Staple diet: Dragon eggs and young; meat.
Elemental Weakness: Water and/or Ice

Cliff-ghasts or Mountain Phantoms or Grey Ghosts

- Said to originate from the angry spirits of mountain climbers/explorers that died during expeditions. They are extremely attracted to blood and raw flesh. They swarm their prey in the tens to hundreds, eating voraciously, leaving not even the bones behind.

- Dead mountain climbers/explorers not given a proper burial will most likely end up as cliff-ghasts. Their spirits wander around until they somehow gain a resemblance of a physical body. This body borders on semi-solidity, mayhap like a form of smog, thus earning their name as Grey Ghosts. Ghasts may resemble what they used to look like in life.

- It is near impossible to exterminate a mob of cliff-ghasts; only full-pledged Slayers can accomplish the task. However a lone cliff-ghast can easily be put to rights with a BIG fire. After a ghast has been killed, it is in order to leave behind a prayer and offering for the dead, to ensure that the killed ghast will not rise again.
