What is the smallest army you would field this in to keep your opponent happy with a good enough chance of destroying it? It makes up a fair chunk of my friends 1000 point list, I was wondering if it would be too hard to kill. Thats using all the models he has, so if its not balanced with the Stegadon then we will have to proxy, done that lots of times before though.

Stegadon, I've never seen him in action, but its a really nice mini, so for that you might want to use it. He is a bit expensive, so if you take him in 1k, you won't have many units, but it might work, if you have some nice plan for it. In my wood elf army, I used a treeman in 500points once, I got just a few other units, but it was fun

Remember though, in less than 1.5k there is nothing in the game that can effectively deal with it. Their wont be big units most of the time and warmachines are scarce, not to mention the lack of a lord in the oponents list meaning his teror might cause some major havoc

Thats what I was thinking. I don't want games to be unbalanced, so it would be too powerful to use? Or not? I know its a big points sink, thats the whole idea though, to fill up points. |

blegh, for exactly the same amount of points you'll get a unit of 6 COR with huanchi's totem, and I believe they are a bit more unbalancing then a stegadon.

yes, so?!
their range isn't that great... it would cost them at least 3 turns, and till then, your skinks or sauri wil have killed/engaged them -------------------- |
