Ok, as we probably all know; the new flesh hounds look a lot like the old, classic ones.
All scaly-lizard-like.

Fun thing is: they get a special character, a three-headed fleshhound.
So my thought was: why not convert it to a salamander? The looks fit close enough to pass by as a sally.

So, here's a picture of the thing.


Kailoq-Mundi, Ancient Death of the World.
Kailoq-Mundi was spawned shortly before The Fall. Unlike the other salamanders of his spawning, he was spawned much stronger and with additional heads. His intellect was superior to that of his spawn-brethren. However, there was a dark side to his intellect; he was as stubborn as any temple guard and had a cruel streak in him that resulted in the fiery death of many skinks. Eventually, one skink, who was spawned under the watchful eye of Itzl, managed to "tame" the mutant salamander. Together they defended their temple-city throughout The Fall, claiming the lives of many daemons. However, to keep him satisfied during the Age of Recovery, they had to sacrifice a number of skinks to him, as well as a number of the newly arived high elves. During the Age of Strife, however, he saw many sacrifices in the form of the Skaven, the stench of their burning fur could be smelled for miles around.

Kailoq-Mundi takes up 1 Hero and 1 Rare choice.
Unit size: Kailoq-Mundi and 1 Skink Handler.

Points: 150(Kailoq-Mundi)+70(Skink Handler Hero)

Special Rules:
Kailoq-Mundi:
Aquatic, Scaly Skin(4+), Skirmishers, Cause Fear, Spout Inferno, Stubborn Creature, Cold-Blooded.
Skink Handler Hero:
Aquatic, Cold-Blooded, Skink darts & javelins count as Poisoned Attacks, Sacred Spawning of Itzl.

Weapons&Armour:
Kailoq-Mundi: Claws, teeth and a really bad breath. ;)
Skink Handler Hero: Hand Weapon

Options:
The Skink Handler Hero may:
May choose either an additional hand weapon (+4 pts) or a spear(+4 pts).
May also choose either a blowpipe (+8 pts) or javelins (+8 pts).
May wear light armour (+2 pts).
May also carry a shield (+2 pts).
May take the Blessed Spawning of Sotek. (see page 51)
May choose magic items from the Common or Lizardmen Magic Items lists with a maximum total value of 50 pts.

Kailoq-Mundi may:
May wear ritual(light) armour (+10 pts).

Both of them may:
May be given the Scouts special rule (+40 pts).
May be accompanied by up to two Salamande and their handlers. (see page 64)


New Special Rules:
Spout Inferno: Spout Inferno is similiar in effects as Spout Flames, except that it is much stronger. Range of 20". Roll two Artillery dice for the number of hits. Hits are resolved as strength 5 with an armour save modifier of -3. Note that Spout Inferno cannot be used to Stand&Shoot, although it may move and shoot as normal.

On the roll of a single misfire, Kailoq-Mundi hits th nearest friendly unit instead.
On the roll of two misfires, Kailoq-Mundi fails to Spout Inferno properly and loses a single wound.

Stubborn Creature: Kailoq-Mundi is one of the most stubborn creatures around, and as such will sometimes fail to behave according to his handler's wishes.
As such, both Kailoq-Mundi as well as his Skink Handler much make a Leadership test at the beginning of each turn.

If the Skink Handler succeeds his test and Kailoq-Mundi doesn't, the Skink Hanlder has full control over Kailoq-Mundi.
If the Skink Handler fails his test but Kailoq-Mundi succeeds, then Kailoq-Mundi(and the rest of the unit) move towards the nearest unit, charging it if able. If unable to charge, Kailoq-Mundi will Spout Inferno at the nearest unit, ignoring the result of a single misfire. The combat resulting from this will last untill the Skink Handler Hero regains control, or untill either the unit charged or Kailoq-Mundi is dead. If the unit charged was an enemy unit, they will continue to fight untill the enemy unit is dead.
If both succeed their tests, then whoever passes the test the most will assume command. In case of a tie, the Handler wins.

In addition, Kailoq-Mundi counts as being Stubborn.

Sacred Spawning of Itzl:
The handler of Kailoq-Mundi is always born with the Sacred Spawning of Itzl and as such exudes a subtle musk that Kailoq-Mundi likes.
The Skink Handler Hero, while unable to ride a Cold One or a Carnosaur, does recieve a -1 modifier on his Leadership tests to see if he can control Kailoq-Mundi. (example, the Skink Handler Hero rolls three dice, a 3, a 6 and a 6. His score is 9, failure. However, because of his Sacred Spawning, the score is modified by -1 and becomes a score of 8, success!)

In addition to this, the normal Salamanders from the Hunting Packs ignore him in case their Spout Flames misfire, and always count as having a handler while the Skink Handler Hero is still alive.

Salamander Hunting Packs:
The two Salamander Hunting Packs that may accompany Kailoq-Mundi follow all the normal rules for the Salamander Hunting Packs on page 64. They must stay within coherency of Kailoq-Mundi and his Skink Handler Hero, and may Scout if Kailoq-Mundi is able to.
