i was reading the erreta and FAQ on the games-workshop site and it said that saurus fighting with spears only get one attack in the second rank. that would mean that the front rank gets the normal two attacks, so a unit of 20 saurus with spears gets 15 attacks total (10 for the front rank, 5 for the second rank). but in the army book, it says saurus fighting with spears only get one attack in both the front and the second rank. i assume the rule from the erreta and FAQ was right, but i can't be too sure...

It does not say that saurus get only one attack in the front rank!

It really doesn't make sense that they DO get a second attack using a spear hehe. How could they use that bite if they had somethign stuck 4 to 6 feet away on the end of a spear. But then it would be pretty much pointless to use spears with them.

They stick the spear in the victim(not always in the skin, maybe armor or clothing) and he pulls him in to slice his neck.
