how do you thinh the changes in rules for warhammer have effected lizardmen

Magic?
Now needing 5 across to make a rank?
skinks now can get march blocked?

Magic: The wizards will only be able to use their own PD!!
5 across to make a rank: Yes
Skirmishers can be marchblocked: Yes

The 2 first rules dosent affect lizardmen too much but being able to marchblock skinks will mke them a lot worse!!!

Magic- the new rules just made 2nd Gen Slann ridiculously good compared to other mages.

5 to a rank - Saurus units will have to get bigger for those who use 4 to a rank

March blocking skirmishers - Will have an effect on skinks, we'll have to be much more careful with out distancing.

The only new rule that i have a beef with is the ability to march block skirmishers now.

The only thing that skinks had going for them was there manourvearility, so this new rule will really hurt them.

Yhe the March blocking skirmishers is annoying... The magic thing makes slanns Uber-powerful because they can use up to 9 Power Dice for spells (the armies 2, the slaans 4, 2 from the diadem of power and 1 from the plaque thingy) compared to most other level 4 mages only being able to sue a maximum of 6.. so basically the march blocking thing is all I care about...

Skirmisher blocking? Thats harsh.

I dunno about the power dice thing. is it gonna restrict dispel as well? cause if it doesnt then it wont make a colossal difference unless your army typically uses a ton of lower level mage to generate dice. Oh wait, skink priest are cheap low level mages. crap :(.

I dunno if ill pick up anything new edition, ive barely gotten any use out this editions stuff, I rarely play any more.

If you don't take a slann at 2000 pts+, and take a whole bunch of skink priests, they will be vulnerable to miscasts, maybe rolling a miscast once every two or three turns if you have lv 2 ones... and the miscast table is deadly in 7th ed...

the new "5 in a rank" rule is great for saurus who are ineffective at winning combats many with ranks as the saurus cost so much meaning if they get lots of ranks you'll have about half the enemies infantry. But now they get to relly more on there superior stats as even with 7 in there front rank they will engage there whole rank (exept those pescy small base armies)

The new magic rules don't affect the slann much but skinks priest become more independent instead of just extra power dice for the slann. I think there will be an increase in the use of the diadem of power as it counters this and puts the saved dice (from a skink priest) into the main pool (for the slann).

The skink march inhibition is annoying as the skinks greatest streangth is there speed and manuverability, and now they caan't do it where it counts! (to get away from enemies)
