Title: The Who Is Next Shop!
Description: Spend Your Points Here!
LonePineKath - September 20, 2006 09:34 PM (GMT)
Hello folks! Roll up, roll up and spend your "Whose Next" points in here!
Right now we have on offer;
A standard DeLorean (left hand drive) 5,000 points
A standard DeLorean (right hand drive) 5,000 points
Time Travel Conversion 5,000 points
Standard Oil Rig 1,000 points
Machete (one per customer - only 2 available) 1,000 points
Cans of Coke - 10 points - to be drunk in here only please - no food or drink near the playing zone, thank you!
Please post your requests here and then any other Whose Next player can then make the transaction for you during their own next play (they must post here to say that they have done it, immediatly after posting in the Whose Next game).
Here's an example - if I have 5,005 points and wish to buy a DeLorean.
LPK : I'd like to buy a DeLorean please!
Discokev then comes online and is the first to see my request so he plays his turn at Whose Next, and when he copies & pastes the scores, he also adds my DeLorean and takes the 5,000 points, then he comes and posts in here that he has done it and confirms number of points taken.
If you change your mind, you can sell stuff back to the shop but you only get half your points back .
Warning! If you go "overdrawn" on points (Say I then made 2 wrong guesses after buying that DeLorean) then the shop automatically takes the product back at half price. You can't go into minus figures if you own stuff! You can mortgage it if you want though, for a charge of 10%.
Also, you may trade with other players to your heart's content, but please post to show what you have done and to avoid accusations of cheating and/or stealing! So I could happily sell Aaron a rig for 750 points, if I wanted to. That's up to the players.
Finally - if you are new to Whose Next and haven't played before, please do check out page 1 of the Whose Next Topic, created by Shandy, and feel free to jump in once you understand the rules! Everybody is welcome!
Any questions, please ask! :)
Shandy - September 20, 2006 11:05 PM (GMT)
Very interesting. It looks to be fun.
I have hardly any points atm though

Does this mean we can no longer just buy our own rigs in the game like we've done so far then??? :(
LonePineKath - September 21, 2006 12:29 PM (GMT)
^ Yeah - just to avoid confusion. It won't cause much hassle, I'm sure. We can trial it and see how it goes?
discokev - September 21, 2006 07:29 PM (GMT)
Please Mrs Shopkeeper can I mortgage 2 of my oil rigs and use the proceeds to buy myself a machette.
Thank you for your assistance!! :D
LonePineKath - September 21, 2006 07:49 PM (GMT)
Ohhhh! So that's what you were planning!
Consider it done! :)
Oh, can I be a copy cat and do the same, please, Mr Kev shopkeeper? :D

Looks like anyone wanting a machete needs to make me or Kath an offer we can't refuse and anyone found snooping around our rigs will feel the wrath of those machetes!!

Can I have a standard version hoverbaord, red and black design, sleek and sexy, please? :D

I'd like that Pit Bull, shame I don't have enough things left to mortgage for me to be able to afford it!!!

Can I repay the mortgage on my life preserver please?
It should cost 250 points to repay the mortgage plus 25 points interest making a total of 275.
Thanks
Aaron - October 28, 2006 11:55 AM (GMT)
^ Consider it done. Someone check my math, though, please!
discokev - October 28, 2006 12:23 PM (GMT)
^ Your maths seem fine to me, cheers Aaron!!

^
I read a news item about a girl who was online so long playing net-games she actually died of starvation. True story.
Just thought I'd warn you guys!
;)
I don't watch a lot of TV. Because it's mostly rubbish.
I used to live with a girl who watched all the soaps, and if I entered the room, she would say something like "Oooh, Alf's about to tell Sarah, he doesn't love her". To which I always replied "It's not real!"
After a while, this became my mantra for anything I saw on TV. "Michael Schumacher has won the German Grand Prix" - "It's not real!". "Tony Blair is visiting China" - "It's not real!"
Funny how I think of this now.
;)
Aaron - October 29, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
^ Hmmmmm ... I'm real. I think.
Kath's real. She looks real anyway! Shandy's real. Kev's real. I don't think they're all actors playing an elaborate hoax.
And the friendships, I assure you, are quite real.
Don't let me stop you from judging, though! ;)
And the German Grand Prix? There's really a German Grand Prix? I think you're right about that one not being real!

No they're not. They're artificial intelligence beings! They exist only in cyberspace! All those photos are fake!
Aaron - October 29, 2006 12:37 AM (GMT)
^ How do I know you're not an artificial intelligence being? Or better yet, how do you know you're not an AI being? This could be the Matrix for all you know! ;)
Madstunts - October 29, 2006 12:41 AM (GMT)
^ Ah no, as any reader of Rene Descartes will tell you, Cogito ergo sum - I think therefore I am. Therefore I know that I'm real, it's just everything else I have to question from time to time :)
Aaron - October 29, 2006 12:45 AM (GMT)
^ How insulting that you don't think Kev, Shandy, Kath or myself think!!! :P
Madstunts - October 29, 2006 12:47 AM (GMT)
^ It's worse than that, I'm suggesting you may not even exist!
Cripes, philosophy is a great way to lose friends!
:)
Aaron - October 29, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
^ You may be drunk enough that this whole conversation is just in your head and I'm not even really here!
Madstunts - October 29, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
^ That's totally possible. Weirder things have happened when I've been drunk!
Not that drinking is cool or anything. Drink responsibly, kids!

Oh no!!! They're onto us!!!! :o

^
Okay - proof I don't exist - I am having trouble thinking this morning, Kev! How many points do I need to unmortgage a rig?
discokev - October 29, 2006 09:37 AM (GMT)
500 points to repay the mortgage plus 10% so 550 in total! :)
LonePineKath - October 30, 2006 09:21 AM (GMT)
Please can the next person to read this umortgage me one rig in exchange for 550 points? Thank you! :)
Aaron - October 30, 2006 11:54 AM (GMT)
^ Done through the magic of editing, Kath! :)
