While I like more rock and overall music from the '80s, the '90s had some great songs too, especially ballads and pop stuff. Some of the alt rock was good too -- '90s music wasn't all about grunge, gangsta rap and "The Macarena".
Some of my personal favorite artists include: Sheryl Crow, Third Eye Blind, Del Amitri, The Gin Blossoms, Wallflowers, Dookie-era Green Day, All 4 One, as well as hits from '80s/classic rock artists (i.e. "Let's Get Rocked" by Def Leppard, "Everyday" by Phil Collins, "Wild Night" by John Mellencamp).
P.S. When I'm talking about '90s, in a cultural sense, I'd say it's from the rise of Grunge to the Teen Pop explosion. Around late 1991-'98, especially up to 1996.
I love Come Out And Play by Offspring! :)

Cool. :) I forgot about The Offspring. My favorite song off Smash, is probably either "What Happened to You" or "Self Esteem".
I actually didn't get into them around 1999, not long after Americana came out (this guy I was friends with in high school, was really into hardcore and punk-type rock). I usually prefer the poppier sound of songs like "Why Don't You Get a Job", but I like most of their stuff.
I like Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Sublime.
