Okay, so I decided to try to create a BttF Online Role Playing Game. It's kind of like Dungeons & Dragons (I think - I've never actually played that game). Here's the web site I built to store the statistics:

You can read the rules there, but I'll give a brief overview:

Basically, you pick a character from BttF and go around and do things. By doing these things you level up and can do more activities and travel through time to different BttF eras. I haven't got the whole thing figured out totally, but I figured I'd do trial by error and actually start a game. I'll be "Father Time" which is like the Dungeon Master and will sort of tell you the events that take place and items available to you at the places you go to.

It might be hard to understand, so just pick a player if you want to try it and I'll set it up to get started. All you really have to do is say what you want your character to do, then wait for me to tell you what happened when your character did that. Hopefully it will be fun. If not, oh well.

So if you want to play, pick a BttF character from 1985 (Doc and Marty are available hot off the presses, but any character will do) that you would want to be and the game can start once we have at least two people who want to join.

I've never played anything like this before so I wouldn't want a major role like Doc or Marty, but I'll happily take Lorraine or Jennifer or something like that. :)

I'm hoping once it starts I can pick it up as I go along! :)

Lorraine Baines McFly (Kath) and

Jennifer Parker (Jennifer McFly)

are both now playable characters. Although we could use a Marty and Doc the game can now begin. The nuts and bolts of the game is to level up you character and this can mainly be achieved by time traveling.

Okay, so now I'll take over as Father Time:

It is currently the morning Friday, October 25, 1985. Lorraine McFly is at the McFly home. Jennifer Parker is at Hill Valley High School. For other inmormation about your characters, consult your player cards. FYI, the transporation available means that you have access to this vehicle and can use it. In most cases, to gain access to a vehicle you must find the keys to that vehicle. If you have access to a vehicle, then you already have the keys for it (if it requires keys).

Lorraine and Jen, please indicate what action you would first like to perform in the game. You may consult the 1985 map to determine places you would like to go in your current residence, or where you would like to travel to outside your residence.

Lorriane should consult the Lyon Estates-McFly Home (interior) section and Jennifer should consult the Hill Valley High School section. Feel free to ask any questions that come to mind.

Lorraine (Kath) goes to the kitchen and looks around. She sees a refrigerator, an oven with pots and pans and some cupboards. There are probably some items inside them.

In that place I will walk to the copy room

George (Discokev) enters the copy room. Inside he finds a copy machine, a fax machine, some paper, and a stapler.

jennifer parker looks around hill vally high schools parking lot.

Jen looks around the high school parking lot and sees many cars, school buses, some bikes in a bike rack and Hill Valley High School in the distance.

Not much there then!

Is there anything written on the paper?

Can Lorraine look in the refrigerator, cupboards, ovens, pots and pans, please, Aaron!

George takes a look at the paper. On it is written "George, the boss wants to see you, butthead. - Biff."

Yes, feel free to ask for anything and everything, and if something can't be done, I'll let you know. ;)

Lorraine looks in the cupboard. Lots of miscellaneous foodstuffs including Rice Crispie cereal boxes, but nothing too important.

She looks in the oven. Nope, nothing in there. The pots and pans are empty as well.

She goes to look in the refrigerator but a note on the door catches her eye. It says "Lorraine, remember to pick up the cake for Joey tonight at the store in exterior Hill Valley. - George." Lorraine opens the refrigerator and sees some alcohol, a roast, and other cold food items.

I'm going to go to Biff's office to ask if it's genuine and if he has any idea what the boss wants....

George goes to Biff's office but Biff isn't there.

(For the record, I'm going to try to keep important characters out of the story to leave open the possibility that someone can claim them in the future.)

Fair enough, I'll go and ask the boss if he wanted to see me then.

George goes to the boss's office and asks if he wanted to see him.

The boss tells George that he has a package to deliver to the Bank of America in downtown Hill Valley, and Biff recommended him for the job. The boss shows George the brown square package. Will George accept the job?

I will accept the job.

I'm going to eat some food (to give me energy to walk into Hill Valley) and then I'm going to enter the living room of the McFly Home and search it!

George accepts the job. The boss hands him the package and George drops his briefcase and accepts it.

Lorraine eats some food and then goes to the living room.

In the living room she finds a couch, some chairs, a television on a table and an end table. There are some pillows on the couch, but nothing more. The television is turned off. Lorraine explores the table. She finds a TV guide, a remote, her purse, and a bottle of aspirin.

The purse is pretty big, and it appears to be able to hold up to three small items in it. From the looks of it, there are some items in the purse.

Jennifer Parker takes the bike to the next location.

Jennifer attempts to take a bike from the bike rack, but finds that all the bikes are chained to the rack. She then hears a bell ring from inside the High School.

Hi Aaron. This looks like a cool game.
I hear you may need a Marty ? ?

All character can hold one item (right now Lorraine is holding Vodka. However, certain items, like a purse, can hold multiple items. In this case, by examining the purse you have discovered that it can hold three small items. If you pick the purse up, you will drop the Vodka (unless you put the Vodka in the purse, but it probably won't fit). Whoo! Okay, back to the game.

Lorraine reads the TV Guide cover. Mr. Belvedere is on the cover! Plus a caption that reads: "The next big thing: Portable Phones!"

Lorraine then looks inside her purse. She finds a small wallet with some money inside! There's 50 dollars in it! $50 is added to is added to Lorraine's available money. She also finds a key ring, with a key to the house and the family car.

Cool! Can I drop the vodka and pick up the purse & key.

Then can I explore Marty's bedroom?

Marty is in the school halls of Hill Valley High School, near his locker. He is wearing his red vest and holds his walkman. A bell inside the school has just rang.

Lorraine picks up the purse with the key ring and wallet inside it and drops the Vodka.

Lorraine then goes to Marty's room. There are posters on the wall and a bed with a table. She finds a guitar on the bed. She looks in Marty's closet and finds many assorted shirts and jeans. As she is searching her son's bedroom, she hears her son's phone ring!

Can I answer the phone please :)

Lorraine answers the phone. A strange foreign voice is on the other line. The man demands to know where Emmett Brown is. How does Lorraine respond?

I politely but firmly say "I am sorry but there's no Doctor Brown here at this address. Goodbye."

Speaking of Doctor Brown, I notice he's an unclaimed role. . . .

Marty opens his locker and looks inside. He finds his backpack inside. This pack appears to be able to hold up to three large items. There appears to be some items in it already. He also finds some various text books inside, as well as a picture of himself and Jen on the locker door.

Lorraine hangs up the phone, and a few seconds later it rings again. What next?
