Ok. Go ahead. I like this idea. Sounds neat.

So for starters, what started you off liking Hugh Laurie? :) I think you told the story once a while back (was it Stuart Little?) but I'd love to hear it here in your very own topic. It just seems a fitting start for your page! :)

I think it was House actually. I can't really remember. Saw a couple episodes of it and liked it. Then- I think- I went on imdb.com and looked at other stuff he'd done.
I requested Blackadder from the library, but it didn't come for a long time, like a month or so. I found it funny that he was the dad on Stuart Little cause he's so dorky and was an extrememly different character.
I was happy to see that I already had three movies that he was in- both Stuart Little ones and 101 Dalmations. I watched the Borrowers too.
Then Jeeves and Wooster.
I really can't remember when I first noticed him though. Is weird.
I wanna see A Bit of Fry and Laurie very much now that it's out on dvd. But have no money. Hope the library gets it. :D
LonePineKath - April 22, 2006 09:24 PM (GMT)
And how about "They Might Be Giants"? What started you there? :)
flux capacitor....fluxing - April 22, 2006 09:37 PM (GMT)
Ooh. I like this.
I am going to take what I wrote from my tmbw.net userpage and tailor it to your specific needs. ;)
I first became a TMBG fan after watching the Experimental Film music video on homestarrunner.com in the summer of 2005.
Here. After that, I got Apollo 18 from the library and listened to it over and over again.
A few weeks before discovering TMBG, my mom asked me if I wanted to go to some KidsFest thing- she'd gotten free tickets from somebody. She said that They were gonna be there, and I vaguely remembered the name from the commentary on the Different Town email of my Homestar DVD's. I immediately envisioned some type of group like the Wiggles, with all their bright colored shirts and annoyingness. So, of course I said no.
Skip forward a month or so, and I'm kicking myself for having not gone. Still bugs me.
That kinda covers it. If you wanna know something else, ask.
LonePineKath - April 22, 2006 09:50 PM (GMT)
^ That story reminds me of when my Dad asked me if I wanted to go see a film called Back to the Future and I said no, because I thought it sounded like a silly title! Durrrr! It's funny that I remembered the exact conversation and where we were at the time.
Fast forward to 1991 and I was kicking myself for the fact that when I was little I passed up the chance to see it on the big screen! And I still feel bad about it to this day!
Anyway, that aside, just got to say Happy Message Board Anniversary to Flux for tomorrow, when you will have been with us a whole year! Yay for Flux! :)

What did you think of "The Gun Seller"? I was surprised how good it was.
Shandy - April 24, 2006 08:53 PM (GMT)
What did you get up to today?
flux capacitor....fluxing - April 25, 2006 09:21 PM (GMT)
Yay for me two days ago.
Um.. The Gun Seller was pretty good; I liked the humor of it. Ilove how the book starts out; kinda faintly Wodehouse-esque.
I read somewhere that Hugh was writing another book, or had written, or something called The Paper Soldier. I hope it comes out- kinda unlikely though cause of his role on House. He has like no time at all. Must be hard being away from your family almost all the time.
Also, I read one of the Jeeves and Wooster books for my bookreport, and the report involves making a collage of your favorite character. Fun. :D
What are you talking about, Shandy? I have no idea.
Shandy - April 25, 2006 10:46 PM (GMT)
^ oh, is that an Aussie expression?
'What did you get up to today?'
translates to-
'What did you do today?"
LonePineKath - April 26, 2006 06:51 PM (GMT)
^ If it helps, that's a phrase here in England too, Shandy, so you're not gong crazy :)
Flux - Do you love travel and where have you been to? What was your favourite place and do you have a funny story about a trip you've been on?
Madstunts - April 26, 2006 07:51 PM (GMT)
Where do you see yourself in 2015?
flux capacitor....fluxing - April 26, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
Ah. What I did. Well, today.. I didn;t do anything exciting. Except we started doing pottery with a wheel in art. And I disected a starfish and heart. And I drew an orange slice on the board in Geometry class.
Yesterday was fun though. My video class had a field trip to Wal Mart to buy stuff for our Power Rangers video thing. Yeah. We ate at Subway, and Mike showed me sorta how to play chess on a napkin with a pencil.
I'm the pink ranger. ;) And I have no pink clothes, so we got soem there and clothes for everybody else. Also Batman masks. They were only 50 cents each. Guess we're gonna spray paint them or somehting to look like Power Rangers. It is all really weird.
I suppose that I like to travel. I have barely been out of Ohio though. Only to Pennsylvania and Niagra Falls. Niagra was probably my favorite. It's cool to see all that power up close. And all the little shops down the street leading to the falls are cool. I stayed on the Canadian side. I went up in teh Skylon Tower too. Was neat.
Where will I be when I'm 25? I don't know. I don't even know what I wanna do for college yet. I'll think and maybe give some kind of answer.
LonePineKath - May 2, 2006 08:57 PM (GMT)
How's the Power Rangers thing coming along?
flux capacitor....fluxing - May 2, 2006 09:09 PM (GMT)
We've been painting our Batman masks and stuff like that. Haven't filmed anything yet. We're probably gonna tape some stuff with Mike, the villain guy, tomorrow. Or sometime soon.
Shandy - May 22, 2006 05:21 PM (GMT)
Fluxing, I've been meaning to ask you this for awhile now . . .
When you choke a Smurf, what colour does it turn?
flux capacitor....fluxing - May 26, 2006 01:02 AM (GMT)
Hehe.
Blue? Or white, maybe.
Shandy - May 28, 2006 06:35 PM (GMT)
the correct answer is, I wouldn't dream of attempting to murder a cute little Smurf
:(
;)
LonePineKath - May 28, 2006 06:43 PM (GMT)
^ That's not what I heard.
Madstunts - May 28, 2006 10:50 PM (GMT)
^ I frequently dream of murdering smurfs
flux capacitor....fluxing - May 29, 2006 03:45 PM (GMT)
I wouldn't choke it until it dies... just almost. ;)
LonePineKath - May 29, 2006 07:23 PM (GMT)
 *Kath backs slowly and nervously away from Shandy, Madstunts & Flux*

flux capacitor....fluxing - June 2, 2006 06:07 PM (GMT)
Hehe. :D
Ooh. I only have about an hour and a half of school left this year. Just took two of the three finals I have to today; have one more on Monday.
The Power Rangers thing won't be done until sometime next year; we had to switch out one person because they aren't coming back next year. And we're prolly gonna get a better editing program. Than Windows Movie Maker. Which is pretty much anything.
Also.. a song that I just downloaded today that I think is awesome. I dunno why really, just is neat. To me anyway.

Eh, it's ok. I like the guitar, but the vocal's not that great.
Shandy - July 11, 2006 11:14 AM (GMT)
^ yeah, I think he's trying too hard to sound like tmbg.
He must have a low opinion of the John's vocal talents <_<
flux capacitor....fluxing - July 11, 2006 06:51 PM (GMT)
Hehe. That smilie is great.
Check out this gameboy version of Ana Ng.
