"Steering wheel works"

Marty Jnr is my favourite BTTF character of all time (after Part 1 Marty, naturally!) so this is great!! Brilliant!

discokev - March 19, 2006 03:14 PM (GMT)
Yet another comic, you have been busy Shandy! :D

And love the steering wheel joke!!

Hot_For_Dockie - March 19, 2006 08:10 PM (GMT)
Aha, so the DeLorean's the cause of crop circles! :P

Nice job, looking forward to more (especially like the manip with unconscious Doc). :happydoc:

No Roads... - March 19, 2006 08:17 PM (GMT)

Shandy - March 23, 2006 05:15 AM (GMT)

Oooh, it'd be terrible if he inspired this Goldie to sell cars! Eeek!

I love the way Marty Jnr fits so seemlessly into the 1955 footage! That's really cool. Excellent work, Shandy!

Tranked is gonna love this :D I just have a feeling!

^ That's really funny! Marty Jnr wears Thomas the Tank underwear! That's made my day!

I love how you've done the shot of George falling! Very creative!

What's with the "149" though? :)

"Wouldn't you rather hydrate me a pizza?" LOL! That's my favourite line! I bet Lorraine would have flipped if he'd called her Grandma Lorraine! Ho ho ho!

What's with the "149" though? :)

Hehe...I know. Very clever. :D

I love your work, Shandy. Although I don't post much, I still read the board, and I always look forward to getting to this part of the board because of your creations. :)

Shandy - April 4, 2006 09:10 AM (GMT)
^ awww, Thanks Great Scott! for letting me know! I really appreciate that! :D

I do sometimes wonder if anyone's out there, lol.

And since Scott got the 149, I'll let you figure it out for yourself, Kath

flux capacitor....fluxing - April 4, 2006 10:21 PM (GMT)
Man. I always miss these things. Awesome so far, Shandy. Thomas Tank. Hehehe.

Shandy - April 4, 2006 10:44 PM (GMT)
Thanks Fluxing, it's okay if you miss them, as long as it's not on purpose

lol :D :88: :)

tranked_low-res_scuzzball - April 5, 2006 08:00 AM (GMT)
I didn't figure out what the 149 thing was either. :(
I loved the 12 T.V's line too!

Edit: Wait, I just got the 149 thing, it IS smart. I was thinking that it had to do with them all being consecutive square numbers!

discokev - April 5, 2006 12:53 PM (GMT)
Nearly missed the latest update!! :o

Good work so far Shandy and I get the 149 thing!! :) All you need to do is thing of which number you usually see in Shandy's comics and do a little maths...

LonePineKath - April 5, 2006 06:36 PM (GMT)
Oooooooooooooh! I got it! I got it! I got it!

I know what the 149 means! Yay! I was worrying I was really thick there for a while! Maybe I am... it took me ages! But hey, I stuck at it and got there in the end! My problem was that I was trying towork out the difference between two sets of numbers in my head! A soon as I looked at the comic again and realised I was supposed to factor in another set of numbers, I got it straight away! Phew!!

flux capacitor....fluxing - April 7, 2006 01:57 PM (GMT)
I got the number thing right when I first looked at it. :P Jk.

Shandy - April 8, 2006 07:36 AM (GMT)
Great job Fluxing, Kath, Kev and Tranked. I hope you guys like this one too :D

Thanks everyone who enjoyed it, I'm going now. It's been fun.

Bye!!! :88:

LonePineKath - April 20, 2006 08:57 PM (GMT)
^ I cannot believe I missed this one! (although you did post it the day my baby went into hospital and he didn't come out for two days so you've gotta forgive me! :) )

More than that... I can't believe Flux has missed this! I can't wait to see what she makes of the last one... do you think she'll like the song?? :D

Excellent work, Shandy! A great series of comics. I'm just sorry we all forgot to reply!!

flux capacitor....fluxing - April 22, 2006 07:30 PM (GMT)
Wow. Somehow, I've missed the last three of these.

Ana Ng. Awesome, Shandy. Very cool.

I can play that on the guitar pretty well now, have been working on learning to play all this week.

Hehe. Ana Ng didn't come out until 1988. Paradox? :)

Very, very neat comic Shandy.

"Normally, it only works on Copernicus." Haha. :D

Very cool.

Frasier Crane - April 22, 2006 08:59 PM (GMT)
Apart from the spelling mistake in one of them ("You're name..." should be "Your name..." :P) great work, Shandy! :)

Shandy - April 23, 2006 02:23 PM (GMT)
lol, thanks everyone!

Kath, I forgive you for looking after your baby rather then replying to my comic, I'll let it slide just this once! ;)

Flux, I am so glad you finally saw!! :D
And I'd love to hear you play Ana Ng on your guitar! That would be awesome, is there anyway that could happen? I'd drive to your house if you want? ;)

Dr Crane, I am SO sorry for that spelling mistake. I try to be so careful too! arh!! lol. But the fact that that is the only thing you found wrong with it makes me happy :)

flux capacitor....fluxing - May 12, 2006 02:34 PM (GMT)
Hmm. If I had a microphone thing I could hook up to the laptop...hten host it somewhere. I dunno.

Aaron - June 6, 2006 04:36 AM (GMT)
lol, good stuff, Shandy! Although I must admit I had no idea who "They Might Be Giants" were, but thanks to wikipedia.org I've learned a lot. Like the fact that they were on Tiny Toon Adventures! :docs2: And that they did the theme to The Daily Show and Malcom in the Middle!

LMAO! I just listened to "Particle Man" on iTunes and I totally remember it from Tiny Toons! Oh man, that song is totally cracking me up!

And now, because I feel bad for posting mostly about They Might Be Giants instead of Shandy's work, I will list the segments I enjoyed the most:

Crop Circles
That's right, he's gonna be a car salesman (lmfao!)
Grandpa hasn't changed a bit
No aluminum in 1955

My only real complaint is MJ complaining about the jukebox having no guns. He should be bitching about having to use his hands! Oh, and the Thomas Tank joke confused me. Was he wearing Thomas the Tank Engine underwear?

Great work, Shandy! :D

Shandy - June 6, 2006 02:32 PM (GMT)
^ Thanks Aaron :D I'm happy you liked :)

Yeah, apperently Marty Junior wears Thomas undies, lol.

flux capacitor....fluxing - June 6, 2006 02:39 PM (GMT)
Hey Aaron, check out This Might Be a Wiki.net. Is really neat. I'm a user on there. Here.

Ok. That was off topic. Um..

Thomas the Tank Engine thing still cracks me up. A very in-character thing for Marty Jr., I think. ;)

Frasier Crane - July 10, 2006 03:44 PM (GMT)
Just thinking about the "Thomas Tank" thing - Thomas was around in 1955. th book series starring him first appeared 10 years earlier, and Thomas himself made his first appearance in 1946. Given the ages of Lorraine's siblings, she may have heard of Thomas the Tank Engine before 1955.....

.....unless at that time Thomas was only popular in the UK and the Americans "hadn't heard of him yet". :P

Shandy - July 10, 2006 11:32 PM (GMT)
^ wow, yes, Good point! I was only thinking of the t.v show when I wrote that.

But I think you might be right about Thomas only being popular in the UK in the 40's and 50's.
lol, let me rephrase that, I WANT you to be right!

bttf44 - March 18, 2008 12:58 AM (GMT)
This is my favourite of the Shandy comics. :)
