Title: Family Guy
Aaron - September 15, 2005 01:36 AM (GMT)
I don't know if anyone's ever watched this show. I thought the new season was awful, but the previous three, to me, were classic. Here's one of my favorite stupid Peter moments: He and his wife, Lois, go to a seminar where they're promised a free boat if they listen to a time-share presentation. When it comes time to get the boat from the pitchman, the guy tells Peter that he can either have the boat or what's inside the (shoe box-sized) mystery box.
Lois: Are you crazy? We'll take the boat.
Peter: Hold on a second, Lois! A boat's a boat, but the mystery box could be anything! It could even be a boat! You know how much we've wanted one of those!
Lois: Then let's just take the-
Peter: We'll take the box!
And my favorite episode ever is "If I'm Dying, I'm lying." Anyone else watch?

I saw a few of the very first episodes, which I found very funny even though I thought it was a bit too much like the Simpsons, but for some reason, I've not seen a single episode for years. Do they still show them?

They already started another new season!
It went off the air for a while, but it was brought back last season.
Check out Cartoon Network at 11:00 every weeknight. They show repeats of it (and Futurama, another fav of mine). And also, might I suggest that you stay tuned for Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's pretty funny in a warped way.

I watch it all the time, I love it.
I think the funniest moment ever was when Peter went to a Kentucky KFC to find Colonel Sanders.
"He dead"
hahahaha
The brand new episode was funny too. With James Woods.
I actually don't like the first season. It's kind of borring and prodictable :(

I really liked last week's episode, btw (including the BttF bit  ). I haven't laughed that much at FG since "Blind Ambition." I'm hopeful that it will continue being funny to me (though I was let down when I found all of last season's episodes post-"Blind Ambition" to be utterly humorless and completely devoid of coherent plots).
I really liked the Cast Away parody. The stuff with Brian being married to Lois was priceless.
"Jeez, Brian, you're like a dog with a bone."
"Tell me about it!"

Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, but here's a link to a Bttf Parody that was on the other night. Its got an animated De Lorean, Doc, Marty and Jennifer. :D
I'm not going to say why its funny, you'll have to see it for yourselves ;)
Family Guy/ Bttf parody

^Thanks for posting that Family Guy BTTF parody! I like family Guy a lot especialy when they parody BTTF. I like how they paid close attention to detail in that clip, look for Doc's alarm clock in the Delorean. They forgot Einstein though. :P

My girlfriend sent me a tape of all new Family Guy episodes yesterday, and I laughed so much when Peter was telling someone about Jesus.
"He put right what once went wrong, and each time hoped that his next leap would be the leap home . . ."
and then it cut to this-

Oh, you can view the whole thing here-
http://media2.ugoto.com/videos/family-guy-...f-jesus-016.wmvVery funny stuff. But probably only if you like Quantum Leap

I don't watch this show anymore. I've got the first 3 seasons on DVD, but the news ones are what the French call "crapé!"

In 1955, everyone is on fire. I never knew that.

Marty: So what happens to us in the future, Doc?
Doc: It's your kids, Marty. Something has got to be done about your kids.
Marty: What?
Doc: Your daughter marries a black man.
Marty: That's actually not a big deal for me.
Jennifer: Yeah, me neither.
Doc: Oh, uh really?
Marty: There's nothing wrong with that, is there Doc?
Doc: What? No, I think it's great. Congratulations!!
Marty: I don't feel very comfortable around you anymore.
Doc: Did you know peanut butter was invented by a black man?
Marty: Too late, Doc.

Whew! I don't like that version of Doc! :P

When I first saw that scene on Family Guy, I couldn't stop laughing. It's funny, because Doc's not really racist. There was also a scene where they parodied Back to the Future called Black to the Future. Starring Rufus Griffin as Marty McSuperfly.
DAMN!!! BROTHA DUN KISSED HIS MOM!!!

I'm sure most people in '50s Hill Valley weren't racist. Just people like Lou Carruthers and Biff Tannen's gang.
