Hey, I've just found the Arcade section (click on the icon under the banner image). It's cool!
I'm a huge fan of old arcade machines from the 80's and early 90's. Basically anything before 3D graphics came in.
When I was on holiday this year at the seaside I went into loads of arcades, trying to find retro machines. I'm trying to actually play as many different games as possible before they all disappear to the big arcade in the sky! :)
I tend to find joy in the slightly naff places, where people bought a machine or two a decade ago and can't afford to buy a new one. That's where you find retro gold! All the big arcades have the latest wizzy 3D virtual reality games. Rubbish. Give me Puzzle Bobble any day.
This year I went camping in Norfolk, UK, and the campsite I stayed at had about 30 games pre-1996, all for 10 or 20 pence a go (less than 50 cents)! It was great!
Anyone else prefer the old arcades? Or am I alone?
It depends on what games you're talking about.
Pac Man was and is still popular.
I've played it at the arcade, even got Ms. Pac Man for Game Boy.
I found them games on here a couple of weeks ago and they are cool most of them, bring back child hood memorys haha my good old atari days :o
didnt they make a smaller arcade version of pac-man? you know know it was still shaped like an acracade game but it was smaller...you could even put it on your kitchen table and play
Well I didn't know that! :)
It turns out that you're correct, they did make a table-top Pac-Man, and several other games as well
