Title: Classic Fm Play Bttf
Description: Movie score on the radio!
Madstunts - August 12, 2005 08:26 PM (GMT)
While I was on holiday with my sister and Brother-In-Law, we were driving somewhere with Classic FM on the radio.
Classic FM is a national radio station in the UK which plays only orchestral and "classical" music. The thing is that increasingly these days, not many people go to see orchestral music being performed, so Classic FM have been playing more and more movie scores.
Can you see where this is going?
While we were in the car, they played the overture from BTTF! Cool!
Unfortunately, my joy was dampened slightly by the following conversation....
Brother In Law: Make sure you don't hit 87 mph
Sister: What?
BIL: Was it 87?
Me: 88.
BIL: Make sure you don't hit 88 mph!
Sis: Why?
BIL: We'll go back in time!
Sis: What?
BIL: This is the music from Back To The Future!
Sis: Oh. Right. I've never seen it.
Me: Aaaaaaaaaarrrrgh!

Lol - Yeah, my parents constantly listen to classic FM, so I sometimes hear the movie scores. Not heard BTTF as of yet though, but I HAVE heard Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Schindler's List.

Yeah. They have a thing where they play the top 10 most wanted pieces as voted for by people ringing in. And either Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter are always in there!
I've just checked their website, and "The Two Towers" is currently number one!

Oh, I've just searched their playlist, and they actually played BTTF part 1 and BTTF part 3 on the same day! I missed Part 3! They were both the versions from the Trilogy CD.
Go here...

Unbelievable!
I was in the car again with my sister yesterday, and classic FM played BTTF parts 1 & 3!
I don't ride in my sister's car much, but it seems that every time I do, Classic FM play BTTF music!

Been in your sister's car again recently, Madstunts? :)
I've listened to Classic FM nearly every night for a year but I haven't heard BTTF yet. Maybe if I actually used that search feature I might have had more luck, eh?

Hmm. The search thing seems to have disappeared!
Bum
Maybe they played BTTF more because it was the 20th anniversary? Or maybe they've lost the CD!?
:)
