I don't have any direct experience moderating boards, but I try to help moderate the board at bttf.com by reporting posts when need be. WeatherExperiment, a moderator there, even said that I'm his moderating assistant! B)
I'll take any forum to moderate. I could take one for the BTTF forums and one for the General forums.

Well hello everyone. First Post! :D For those of you who don't know me I am Eastwood McFly or my friends call me ("Eastwood" but usually "Eastwood McFly" on the BTTF.com message board.

Mrs. Doc Brown, you will become a moderator, so don't worry. I promised Blind Spot awhile ago before i made this message board that he could be a moderator so he gets a first choice in this. Hey, yall. This is my first (but certainly far from last) post here. :D

OK, here goes:

Screenname: Blind ("Spotty") Spot.

Experience: I've never directly moderated a board before, but out of the 13 months I've been on BTTF/com's message board, I believe I've been able to assist there in that area to an extent. Aside from welcoming new folks, whenever I can, I try to familiarize people with boards the best I can, as well as try to handle (amd/or report) rudeness, out of place comments, etc.

Position: Any would be fine with me.

Notes: Aside from (obviously) liking the movies to death, I enjoy talking with people, and helping in any way possible. I think I could help others in making the board a nicer place.

Ok there are two more moderator positions left. (another moderator for both The Animated Series and general chat) These positions are not highly needed right now though, but they are still open.

The BTTF Ride fourm is still unmoderated because that will go to Beanie Roberts to whom I promised the moderator position.

If a moderator ever must left, come inactive, or traffic soars, then more positions will become available.

and since i already have the ride..i guess i'm done.

Considering the circumstances, I am re-opening this topic. The only difference is that you do not need to put what forum you are "auditioning" for since I now have it set up so that moderator(s) can moderate the entire board. Also if you could add roughly how many times you visit the board per day and roughly when during the day that would be great. I think that we will only need one moderator right now but I am considering having there be two.

I'm on here several times a day anyway or whenever I feel like it.
Make me an admin as I'm an root admin on another forum. On that other forum, I have appointed 2 co-admins to help out.

I discussed this topic with you awhile back over AIM. It was something to do with the co-admin position.

I urge you to consider having two moderators on different time zones though so we'll have it all covered.

I'm not too worried who you pick, as long as we get people who will be here regularly as there have been too many cases of things getting through the net recently and it'd be a shame to wreck this lovely little community we have got going on.

After a year of asking for a new moderator, I should put my hand up.

I'd be happy to do it, I am on here all the time and I hate spammers, I could settle disputes, I know which forum every topic belongs in and it may make things easier for me to change the banner?

My vote goes to Roads and Shandy though. I think they've been here a long time, they are both very fair, and both want the job. :)

Admins only have the power to ban people, which is why I rather be an admin than a moderator.

Here's an idea:

One co-admin (me) and 2 moderators. With a co-admin, they can ban as well as the root admin can.

Alt, another thing is I'm here more often than most of the members.

I'm not making anyone an admin. I don't think it is necessary. Also I have decided to only make one moderator, for now at least. I am going to lock this topic now and I'll make and post my decision tommorow.
