Title: Shandy's Junk
Description: comics
Shandy - May 16, 2005 07:18 AM (GMT)
Hi all. I trust you are well.
I've done alot of non-bttf comics over the years, so this will be the place for them.
I just drew my sister a comic for her biblical studies homework, so I quickly scanned it before I gave her book back to her-

More silly stuff to come soon :)

Hey mate, good work - it fits the theme well (I'm not religious myself, but I know some of the basics!) while still maintaining your trademark sense of humor. ;)
Liked the "Apples" line, LOL.
I wish I had a sister (or a brother for that matter!) to draw this kinda stuff up for. She's lucky. :)
Shandy - May 16, 2005 09:54 AM (GMT)
awww, thanks mate.
I'm sure you would make a great big brother.

Thats great, mate.
I found that quite amusing :)
george_mcfly_au - May 17, 2005 03:05 AM (GMT)
 Shandy! That was good! I especially liked the tie Adam put on after eating the apple and the last line.
God can sure get nasty! ;)
:george:

Thanks i hate manure and george mcfly_au (if that is your real name ;) )
God did get nasty, but they shouldn't have eaten his apples like that.
And thats the story of how the apple tree got to every place on earth.

Turns out the beatles did get back together, well, most if them-

^ Yo matey, as a Beatles fan, not surprisingly I enjoyed this one alot. :D
Loved the "Get Back" sign on Paul's mansion right by the "Keep Out" sign - not sure everyone would notice that!
BTW (since I know you "get" stuff like this!), is this supposed to be in the first history - the one we know - or in the final timeline? ;) If Abbey Road was actually recorded in 1979 and taken back to '70, that would explain it. Their last two albums had a slightly futuristic sound to them, IMHO.
Also liked the keyboard that Paul showed John. Context-wise it makes sense too. Based on what I know, 1979 was the first year that synthesizers and keyboards started being widely used in music (even if it didn't explode until a few years later) -- in other words, the sound that would come to define the 80's.
Poor Ringo, I wonder if that "grave" comment means anything significant! Is there gonna be a sequel to this?

The recording studio where they made most of their albums was called 'Abbey Road'. So while it would be cool to send songs back in time to their younger selves, this was not what I meant. Paul was reffering to the studio not the Album.

Yes, I was thinking how funny it would be if Ringo was made obsolete by these new machines. And I also chose the year so John would be still around :(

^Wahoo so did I! I finally feel special!
That was a great biblical cartoon! I love religious humour and I loved that evil God line, he's my favourite fictional character!
I'm not really a big fan of the Beatles but I knew enough to get the references and laugh along with the cartoon, I really enjoyed it :)
Great work, is there a Part II in the works? :D

Well, it's been awhile since I've done some more junk that was worthy enough to upload to the net.
I'm not sure this counts, but I've just recently got back into Dick Tracy comics.
I have fond memories of being a boy and getting the Sunday paper and flipping straight to the Dick Tracy strip.
It's funny, I remember being on picnics or at the beach, or at a friends house while I read alot of them. I guess Sundays were the day when I went out and did stuff.
Anyway, I drew these on the plane ride home last week-

I don't get why Hurley's still fat even though there's like no way to gain weight. But nevermind about that.
