OUTATUNE:
Heheh... I'll start this.
You know you're a BTTF fanfic writer when:
- You try to type the name 'Mary' and it comes out as 'Marty'.
- You reach the point when you actually believe that some of the fics are better than the movies
- The names of Mary Jean Holmes and Kristen Sheley have become as synonymous with BTTF as that of Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd.
- You know more about what happened after Part 3 than what happened in the trilogy
- Upon hearing that someone has watched BTTF, the first thing you ask is 'Can you read my fanfics?'
- You reply to this and add stuff.

*Hysterical laughter* Does Bob Gale know about this? *More hysterical laughter*
Actually, when I've met The Man Behind the Characters, I've been intimidated to the point of being either mute or blabbermouthy, and completely terrified of him knowing that I write fanfic. It would be so... weird.

DOC LATHROP BROWN:
Actually, as far as I know, "Marty-Sue" is the designation for a guy that writes himself into a story.
BLIND SPOT:
-When you watch the movies just to gather info for an upcoming story.
-During the course of an everyday event in your life (i.e. going to the laundromat), you automatically wonder what Marty or any other BTTF character would do in your place.
-The abbreviations TP, LP, and A are instantly recognizable to you -- and they don't stand for Toilet Paper, LP (as in a record), and the letter A, respectively.
Cool topic, BTW. Kind of a takeoff on the 'You Know You're Obsessed' thread.
JAMIE MCFLY:
When even though you havn't written for months, you are always thinking of ideas. I really really really need to finish my stories! Sorry Anakin!
SORA:
After reading this, I know I'm truly a fan fiction writer! I have all the symptoms mentioned!
OUTATUNE:
Okay, let's change this to: You know you're a futurefic nut when...?
- Durinjg a really boring class, some people are sleeping, some are reading, some are doing homework, a weird few are actually listening, and you're thinking up the storyline for your next BTTF fic.
- You pay close attention to anything in your history lesson that might turn up useful for writing some fic some time.
~ You don't feel sad about seeing "The End" at the end of Part III, because you know it's really only the beginning.
~ You get emotional over several BTTF issues - things like:
Which set of memories does Marty have at the end?
When did Doc return from the Old West... or did he?
How do you picture Marty and Jennifer in your fics?
~ You tend to overanalyze the BTTF future and the Hell Valley timeline.
You know you're a BTTF AU fanfic writer, when...
~ You're constantly thinking of scenarios of how things might turn out, if certain events or actions taken by the characters were different.
