Title: Movie Quotes
Description: come and play
Shandy - May 8, 2005 08:25 AM (GMT)
We write quotes from films, whoever guesses the film correctly then takes over with a new quote from another film.
I'll start things off-
"No, I didn't borrow laura's mercedes!"
outatimedelorean - May 8, 2005 09:07 AM (GMT)
A suggestion though.
Make it harder by having them also guess what character is saying it in case if someone uses a quote from the same film to make it less confusing.
I'll let someone else figure out that quote, as I can't get it.

Sorry, I dont know, mate!!!! :D
Shandy - May 8, 2005 08:49 PM (GMT)
ok, it was probably a bit tricky anyway.
Cary Grant said it in North by Northwest.
Here's an easier one-
"We came, we saw, we kicked it's ass!!"
And yeah, as outatime says, must say the character's name as well.
outatimedelorean - May 8, 2005 09:17 PM (GMT)
Dr. Peter Venkman played by Bill Murray said it in Ghostbusters
BTW that quote is based on "I came, I saw, I conquered."
"This is for my wife. F--- you and die!"
or
"You can take that to the bank!"
Both are from the same film. You can do either or both of them.
Too tough? Try this one:
"Isn't it funny - you hear a phone ringing and it could be anybody. But a ringing phone has to be answered, doesn't it? "
I saw this film awhile back. It was a real thriller. Maybe you can guess all of them.
Shandy - May 14, 2005 09:56 PM (GMT)
I'm really struggling, lol
EDIT: YAY 88 posts!!! In your face joey!! Can I get an Avatar now? Wow, I feel so young and stupid :(
outatimedelorean - May 14, 2005 10:45 PM (GMT)
Here's a couple of hints:
One stars Steven Seagal and William Sadler.
The other one stars Colin Farrell and Kiefer Sutherland.
Think you can figure them out now?

"Isn't it funny - you hear a phone ringing and it could be anybody. But a ringing phone has to be answered, doesn't it? "
Phone Booth!! One of my favs. It was said by Kiefer Sutherland's character. (the caller).
Heres mine.... "if this is the way the rats are going thats good enough for me!"
-Trevor.

Argh! It's Titanic, isn't it but I can't remember who says it so I'm going to guess that it's Jack/Leonardo DiCaprio?
No Roads... - May 20, 2005 09:53 PM (GMT)
I dunno, haven't watched it in awhile, one of the very-lower class passangers. We'll give it to ya :D
EDIT: its not Leonardo tho
Shandy - May 21, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
^ cool, so that makes it Kath's turn . . . .
LonePineKath - May 21, 2005 07:00 PM (GMT)
Cool! How about this then;
"We all go a little mad sometimes"
No Roads... - May 21, 2005 07:35 PM (GMT)
I heard that quote in (i think) the movie Psycho, but i dunno who said it.
LonePineKath - May 21, 2005 08:39 PM (GMT)
Okay, Ill let you have this one - you went easy on me for yours, after all! :88:
It is Psycho - Norman Bates says it!
Your turn, No Roads!
No Roads... - May 21, 2005 08:59 PM (GMT)
"I'm not shouting.... alright I am shouting... I"M SHOUTING, I'M SHOUTING, I'M SHOU--" (Action: gets hit with candle stick).
This movie has a connection with BTTF so its probably fairly easy for some.
outatimedelorean - May 22, 2005 07:47 AM (GMT)
Its said by Wadsworth in Clue.
"Pop quiz hotshot. There's a bomb on a bus. Once the bus goes 50MPH, the bomb is armed. If it drops below 50, it blows up. What do you do? What do you do?"
Shandy - May 22, 2005 08:50 AM (GMT)
^ That was said by Dennis Hopper in the film "The Bus that couldn't slow down"
My movie-
"What kind of F*&@#ed up Tour is this?"
outatimedelorean - May 22, 2005 08:55 AM (GMT)
^Oh, I hate you. I saw that movie just a week or so ago.
It's said by one of the tourists after The Rock was taken over.
"I don't wanna die in my underwear. Bawk, bawk, bawk... Shoot him, shoot the bastard."
outatimedelorean - September 14, 2005 10:16 AM (GMT)
BUMP
Anyone want to guess the film the above quote is from?
Shandy - September 14, 2005 12:42 PM (GMT)
No Roads... - September 14, 2005 01:55 PM (GMT)
^ Yeah... I think you got it...
Blind Spot - September 14, 2005 03:13 PM (GMT)
Alright, my turn (can't believe I haven't done this yet, LOL):
"You think that's funny, clown!? I don't see ya laughing now!"
Madstunts - September 17, 2005 11:47 PM (GMT)

The Wizard of Oz ?
QUOTE (No Roads... @ Sep 14 2005, 08:55 AM)
^ Yeah... I think you got it...
You're both wrong. Here's the answer:
Its said by Roger Murtaugh (Danny Glover) to Martin Riggs (Mel Gibson) in the beginning of Lethal Weapon 4.

To answer Spotty's question, it might be Big Daddy.
deloreancrazy - October 4, 2005 10:16 PM (GMT)
I got the funny feeling it might be Billy Madison *shrugs*

Happy Gilmore?
"Anything you want, you got it. Anything you need, you got it."
:)
LonePineKath - October 8, 2005 06:35 PM (GMT)
Does that mean I'm right? :D
Is it my go now? :)
Here goes;
Ray, do you want 'em to take your family, tear their livers out and make some kind of satanic pâté?
Shandy - November 28, 2005 04:57 AM (GMT)
The 'Burbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (One of my favourite films!!)
"I'm shakin' the dust of this crummy little town off my feet and I'm gonna see the world! Italy, Greece, the Parthenon, the Coloseum. Then, I'm coming back here to go to college and see what they know. And then I'm gonna build things. I'm gonna build airfields, I'm gonna build skyscrapers a hundred stories high, I'm gonna build bridges a mile long .... "

Can we have a clue? :)
No Roads... - January 5, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
My sis thinks its from "A Wonderful Life"
Not sure if its right or not though.
I'll make this easy:
"Isn't it funny - you hear a phone ringing and it could be anybody. But a ringing phone has to be answered... doesn't it?"
outatimedelorean - January 5, 2006 05:41 AM (GMT)
Phone Booth. That quote was posted once before.

Here's a tough one:
"Come get some."
If you're going to post a quote, check to make sure nobody else already used it.
If somebody has already used the quote that you're going to post, choose a different one as to avoid repeats of the same quotes.
It makes it more challenging this way.
Lil' White Dove - January 6, 2006 07:19 AM (GMT)
Tough, eh? That line is from Army of Darkness (said by Ash, of course).
I guess it's my turn...hmm....
I have no idea how difficult or easy this will be, but here goes:
"Give me back my blue blanket!"
