Title: Bttf Aim Chat #4
Description: March 2, 2005
Blind Spot - March 3, 2005 05:38 AM (GMT)
vampdocette: Hallo
BlindSpot1984: Hey everyone. :-)
Anonymoose84: Dudes!
vampdocette: hehe
vampdocette: How are you, Blindy?
Anonymoose84: If you wanna invite others you can...'cause I don't know how to add more people actually...
BlindSpot1984: What;s the moose & Vamp talkin' about tonight?
vampdocette: Basically how her university sucks
BlindSpot1984: Great - just enjoying a rare day off
vampdocette: yay for you
Anonymoose84: Yeah lets start a chant ;-)
BlindSpot1984: ^ Yeah, I know how that can be too - personal experienc, hehe
vampdocette: hehehe
vampdocette: Yeah, mine's a bit of a dump
vampdocette: One of the buildings I take classes in is all dirty, with peeling paint
BlindSpot1984: Same here -- I realized that's one thing i miss about high school--everything's set up for you already, lol
vampdocette: lol, yeah
Anonymoose84: Indeed!
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, some buildings aren't exactly taken care of....
vampdocette: yeah, yucky
BlindSpot1984: It's a real irony that my HS (built in '52) was rusted and dirty when I went there, and the fall after I graduated, it gets remodeled with elevators and vending machines and new paint. murphy's law, hehe
Anonymoose84: Yeah that sort of happened to me too!
vampdocette: *growl* hate that -- and ELEVATORS?
BlindSpot1984: I got to experience it when I visited my younger friends and all, still it wasn't the same, lol
vampdocette: *smacks head*. . . You had elevators in your high school too, silly
vampdocette: hehehe
vampdocette: Hmm, you can design your own hell
BlindSpot1984: In fact I went back there just a month or two ago to visit some of the teachers I've stayed in contact with....
vampdocette: Ahhh, cool
BlindSpot1984: Funny, sinec I haven't aged at all since I left, I had all the kids I talked with asking what class I was supposed to be in, hehe
vampdocette: *snork*
Anonymoose84: Even worse we had all these fundraisers so I contributed to that without even getting benefits!
vampdocette: awwww
BlindSpot1984: Even funnier, one of the campus security officers remembered me -- thus "saving" me from the other who was also convinced I was a student without a pass, hehe
Anonymoose84: Looking at the BTTF Boards and am still wondering about the whole Memory Replacement Theory thing....how the Hell does that work? I still don't get it!
BlindSpot1984: I think it does work....
vampdocette: hehehehe
vampdocette: O.o
BlindSpot1984: In short, if Marty-A travels back to '55 he can't have the "Hell Valley/Switzerland" memories...
Anonymoose84: But where do the memories come from? How do they get there? Why don't they leave? How do they know which memories are the right ones?!
vampdocette: lol
BlindSpot1984: they have to "make way" for the Original Marty already there (TP)
vampdocette: It's strangeness
BlindSpot1984: original Marty is just an echo to keep the timeline "on track" imho
Anonymoose84: Eh....I always had a more difficult theory...
vampdocette: Oh?
BlindSpot1984: same with Old Biff
BlindSpot1984: ...?
Anonymoose84: It's now been discounted because there's no parallel Universes in BTTF. Bummer!
vampdocette: Aha, aww
BlindSpot1984: LOL....
Anonymoose84: I love parallel Universes I had this theory that the two Marty's crossed over and depended on each other for their exsistance thus the whole disappearing thing...very confusing actually...
BlindSpot1984: On the lighter side though, I thought that, if there wrent echoes, then in 2015-A, a corpse of 77 yr old evil Biff will be trying to give himself the almanac. That'd be like the Thriller video meets Night of the Living Dead, hehee
vampdocette: Aha
vampdocette: O.o lol
Anonymoose84: Ewww...
vampdocette: yeah, that too
Anonymoose84: I don't think Teenage Biff would have taken the mag....
vampdocette: hehehe
BlindSpot1984: well, how do you explain the newspapers changin? If they were parallels, they would just "carry over" to the new world. But since it changes, it has to be the only one existing
BlindSpot1984: Hope that makes sesne, hehe
vampdocette: Hmm, yesum
Anonymoose84: Well you see I based that theory on the first movie only...
vampdocette: Ahhhh
BlindSpot1984: I guess part of the mystique is that we'll never really know - we can only speculate based on what we know
vampdocette: yeah, really
Anonymoose84: Once I tried to incorporate the second and third it all went down the toilet...
Anonymoose84: Although I still think that even after Marty changes the future or whatever there are still 'copies' of those futures that he made. That is somewhere out there George is still a nerd and Biff is still rich.
vampdocette: *nodnod*
BlindSpot1984: P.U.s are too complicated to me. Besides thre's no way I could make myself believe that now - with all me & Shandy have talked about, hehe
vampdocette: hehe, I see
Anonymoose84: How is Shandy? Is he in Aus?
BlindSpot1984: Well, the A reality branched off LP, so he couldn't have killed nerdy George
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: Good actually - he posts on Chris' board a bit too.
vampdocette: aha
Anonymoose84: Ah yes :-) I go there too.I don't mean rich Biff killed Nerdy George I just meant there's a 'copy' of that A reality remaining somewhere...that way the memories of it can still exist 'cause they're 'real' :-)|
vampdocette: Ahhh, interesting
BlindSpot1984: Like I said though, I do think 2015-a would be closer to LP after Biff is killed. if not, just imagine as soon as they pulled Jennifer out of Hilldale, a bunch of bikers appeared, etc
vampdocette: *nodnod*
Anonymoose84: LOL Hoverbikers you mean!
vampdocette: LoL, yes
BlindSpot1984: Hehe, assuming HC's were invented here
vampdocette: :-D
Anonymoose84: Wouldn't they be? I seem to remember when Marty et al are leaving 2015 there are hover cars around them on the skyway.
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: ...I think, just like TP1985, those 'past' realities only exist in the time traveller's memories. eastwood Marty will still remember TP, accidnet 2015, 1985-a etc, but they're only 'cause he wasn't a "native" to them
BlindSpot1984: ^ Yeah, so we have to assume the skyway-A was still built
BlindSpot1984: maybe it only went to Las Vegas though. ;-)
vampdocette: Ahhh, Hmmm
vampdocette: LoL
Anonymoose84: I just like Parrallel Universes otherwise how can I have all my George and Lorraine Muses with me ;-)
vampdocette: :-D
BlindSpot1984: True. I think it's cool to write from a "What if" pov. But all I've seen seems to say it's one timeline that keeps changing. Maybe i'm a wuss--that's easier for me to keep track of, lol
vampdocette: Very very true
vampdocette: hehehehe
Anonymoose84: Weird one time line makes it harder for me! ;-)
vampdocette: lol
Anonymoose84: I'm still poking that penguin!
vampdocette: I try to stay out of that stuff as much as possible
BlindSpot1984: I do wonder - in our world, not BTTF - if there are parallels, where do they exist?
vampdocette: Hmmm
Anonymoose84: Right beside us...we can only get to them if we go back in time, that's why it dangerous to go back there...once you do you'll never get back to your old friends and family!
vampdocette: awww, yeah, that's a possibility
BlindSpot1984: Say, in the galaxy somewhere, there's a world identical to ours, except that, say 9/11 never happened
BlindSpot1984: How do you "get" there, and where is it? What decided these "us"es live in this world, etc?
Anonymoose84: Shroeders Cat decides ;-)
BlindSpot1984: Well, in the BTTF case, before 11/5/55 at 6AM, all 4 timelines (pre Part III) are the same. Do they 'after' this go into alternate universes?
BlindSpot1984: ^ LOL
BlindSpot1984: *3 timelines I mean
Anonymoose84: That's the idea...
Anonymoose84: I think...
vampdocette: Hmmmm, yeah
BlindSpot1984: But how is it only one world from up to 1955, but three other ones after it? That's too weird, hehe. (I hate when people say it's just a movie -- but this is one case that might be the only explanation, hehe)
Anonymoose84: Oh there's different worlds to...they just keep spilting, however time travelling would creat more spilting.
BlindSpot1984: I think if real world time travel exists, that's more how it would be
vampdocette: hehehehe
vampdocette: Ahh
Anonymoose84: So year pre-1955 there might be a world where Biff isn't a bully, or George is popular or something like that...
BlindSpot1984: In BTTF they probably just want to keep it simple (I don't think you'd ever see a newspaper changing headlines in the real universe, heh)
Anonymoose84: Nah that'd be weird!
vampdocette: hehehehe
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, that's why i was always convinced it was one timeline rewriting itself. Like when LP 2015 turns to 2015-A or 1985-a back to LP/Eastwood 85. It's only apparent to someone out of their time.
vampdocette: *nodnod*
BlindSpot1984: If LP 2015 still existed, why would DOc Marty & jen get "transported" to 2015-A? LOL
Anonymoose84: Yeah probably.*The Georges shake their heads: Parallel Universes forever!* :-)
BlindSpot1984: hehe
vampdocette: lol
BlindSpot1984: I do think parallels are more sci-fi ish. Makes it cooler in that way.
vampdocette: Ahah, yeah
Anonymoose84: Indeed! I wrote a fic where a character based on George met his female self!Aww nuts four minutes late for our 10:04 call!
vampdocette: O.o
Anonymoose84: Is that for the 10:04 call, or for George's female self Georgiana?
BlindSpot1984: How could the LP timeline exist beside TP if it hadn't been "created" yet? Like in TP 1984, if we asked George, hed say, "I-i, uh, never met a Calvin Klein. Ah-ha ha ha ha [at the TV]."
BlindSpot1984: ^ LOL to both
vampdocette: For Georgiana
vampdocette: Hmmm
Anonymoose84: Keeping my eye on the time since I'm meeting a friend shortly...
BlindSpot1984: in Bill & Ted, it works that way so you can't change stuff since it 'always' happened.
vampdocette: Ahhh, I see
vampdocette: Ahh, fixed timeline theory
BlindSpot1984: Meeting in real life or online?
Anonymoose84: LOL yeah that was funny..."69!"
BlindSpot1984: hehe
Anonymoose84: In real life so I'll have to go! Leaving my dear online friends behind!
vampdocette: aww
BlindSpot1984: I was gonna say. :-( How long from now?
Anonymoose84: Dunno...I'll probably call 'em.I am supposed to pick up something from my Uni, but I don't think they'll mind if I don't arrive exactly on time...
vampdocette: Ahhh, I see
BlindSpot1984: Hehe
Anonymoose84: It's so I can get paid! They haven't paid me for a month! I'm poor!
vampdocette: Aha! Yes, need money
BlindSpot1984: Me too, heh. I feel guilty if I spend $50 at the mall, hehe
BlindSpot1984: This coming from someone who's saved $150 in quarters (collectively) since I was 14, LOL!!
Anonymoose84: LOL! Do you keep 'em in a big jar>
BlindSpot1984: Well, it's probably closer to 300 now, but thoes bus rides have gotten rid of many, lol
BlindSpot1984: ^ Yeah
vampdocette: hehehehe, wow
vampdocette: that's amazing
BlindSpot1984: Like I always say, if/when I get my own car - everyone's got free rides for life ('cause I know how it is to walk or bum rides, lol)
Anonymoose84: LOL that's cool! My bro has a whole jar of 5 cent pieces...don't know how much he's got all up...
BlindSpot1984: Nickels?
vampdocette: hehehehe
vampdocette: Wow
Anonymoose84: Yeah but they're 5 cent pieces here...we don't have quarters we just have 10 c pieces, 20 cent peices, 50 cent pieces, and 1 and 2 dollar coins.
vampdocette: Aha, interesting
BlindSpot1984: 20 cent pieces would be nice. :-)
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: or single cent 50Cs
vampdocette: lol
BlindSpot1984: Here, it goes from quarters to dollard
Anonymoose84: No 50 cent pieces over there? Yikes!
BlindSpot1984: *s
vampdocette: Well, we do have Kennedy Half-dollars, but they don't show up much
BlindSpot1984: Yeah. There used to be $2 bills in the 70s I think, but they're not manufactured anymore
Anonymoose84: JFK coins? Cool.
vampdocette: Yeah
BlindSpot1984: I wonder if someday, Clinton or Bush will be on a dollar bill, hehe
vampdocette: We also have now State Quarters and I found a Lewis and Clark nickel :-P
Anonymoose84: Ick! Not Bush! Burn it BURN it!
BlindSpot1984: hehe
vampdocette: Eh, who knows -- I hope they stick with the classics
BlindSpot1984: I know what you mean, lol
vampdocette: :-D
Anonymoose84: Or as Homer said "There's a rather large bill in it for you.""Really what president is on it?"
Anonymoose84: "All of them they're having a party..."
vampdocette: LoL
BlindSpot1984: Hehe, now I get it
BlindSpot1984: all that time travel thinking slowed the rest of my brain up by a few seconds, hehe
vampdocette: lol
BlindSpot1984: Brb in 1 min - gotta get more crackers, lol
vampdocette: ok
Anonymoose84: LOL!
Anonymoose84: Hmmm....watching the time...Say Ael's gone Stargate crazy ;-)
vampdocette: lol, yesum
Anonymoose84: Oh no! What if she never finished her George One-Shots?*The Georges are horrified!*
vampdocette: O.o
vampdocette: I'm sure she'll finish them, just not right away
BlindSpot1984: Hehe - is this the string of George POV fics?
vampdocette: *nodnod*
vampdocette: On backtothefanfic
BlindSpot1984: I like those - should've reviewed em (shame on me!)
Anonymoose84: The Georges and I like them very much!
vampdocette: hehehe
BlindSpot1984: Yeah - I think there's not enough fanfics with 80's TP George, hehe. That guy is so funny/enteraining to me for some reason
vampdocette: He's just so geeky
BlindSpot1984: it'd also be interesting to know about the middle time too. Like what was he like in 1965? probably the same
Anonymoose84: *Original George: I...uh...hear...you're a...hmmm....fan of mine! I...never had a fan before....
vampdocette: And has this really weird laugh -- I wonder if Crispin really laughts like that
BlindSpot1984: I can't see him being a hippie or anything, lol
vampdocette: lol
Anonymoose84: LMAO!
Anonymoose84: Oh my God that's hilarious!
BlindSpot1984: ^ I heard he kinda has those mannerisms actually
Anonymoose84: Original George at Peace Rally: We're not very good at con-FRON-tations...
vampdocette: Hmmm, hehehe
BlindSpot1984: Hehe ;-)
BlindSpot1984: I had a strange thought though...
Anonymoose84: Yeah?
vampdocette: oh?
BlindSpot1984: I think 17 year old TP George was a nerd cause he had hardly any friends, etc... and 47 yr old was because he'd kinda wasted a good part of his life....
vampdocette: Oookay, yeah
BlindSpot1984: but is it possible at, say 25 or 30 he was slightly better off?
vampdocette: Hmmm, maybe
BlindSpot1984: COmfortable enough with a new family, but not old enough to think he'd given up writing etc
vampdocette: The early sttages of being married to Lorraine -- maybe she tried to bring him "out of his shell," to speak?
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, I think so
Anonymoose84: *Original George: No...I'm afraid I'm always shy! Nobody ever had somethig good to say to me...except Lorraine...
vampdocette: Awww
vampdocette: *patpat*
vampdocette: *looks at greasy hand*
BlindSpot1984: maybe that's why she seemed kinda depressed by him in '85
Anonymoose84: Yeah! The other Georges rally around Original George.LOL!
vampdocette: awww, yeah
BlindSpot1984: But would he have been an "old nerd" if the TP time continued? I can't imagine an old man nerd, hehe
Anonymoose84: Original Lorraine: He wouln't even pick up the phone an order take out!Original George: I don't like phones...
BlindSpot1984: LOL
vampdocette: Hmmm, lol
BlindSpot1984: I tried to write what he'd be like in TP2010 but it's hard
vampdocette: Yeah, I bet
Anonymoose84: I think Old George is nerdy AND absente minded!*Old George: Whaa....is there any pizza?
vampdocette: *cough-Alzheimers-cough*
BlindSpot1984: Yeah. Probably a cross of TP 1985 and LP 2015 george. "Ah-ah-ah ah ah, I'll eat that, ha ha ah ah"
vampdocette: ehhehehe
Anonymoose84: *Old Lorraine: My George is NOT absent minded he's just been upside down for too long!* Brings him pizza.
BlindSpot1984: hehe
vampdocette: So turn him upright already
Anonymoose84: His back is still sore :-(
vampdocette: Aha, ouchies
BlindSpot1984: I cant imagine the shape TP Old Lorraine might be in :-(
vampdocette: awwww
Anonymoose84: *Old George: Out on the Golf Course...ugh...Old Lorraine; Yes dear we know!
vampdocette: Redette, maybe
BlindSpot1984: Yeah. Maybe my universe is too 'happy' - she gives up alcohol and divoces George in the 90s
vampdocette: Ahhh, yeah
Anonymoose84: You call divorcing George happy?*The Georges are sad*
BlindSpot1984: But then, I felt bad making George still put up with old Biff's bullying
vampdocette: yeah, :I
vampdocette: :-(
Anonymoose84: *The Georges are REALLY sad!* :'(
vampdocette: *pat pat*
Anonymoose84: Although I don't think Original George would ever stand up to Biff...
BlindSpot1984: yeah. Probably not
vampdocette: Me either, honestly
BlindSpot1984: Do you think when he retired, he'd move away from HV to get away from him perhaps?
vampdocette: Hmmm, dunno
vampdocette: he seems to fear change
Anonymoose84: Original George: Oooh...I hate moving...I don't mind Biff...
BlindSpot1984: Then again, maybe TP George was poor and had to work food service in his 70s or something.
BlindSpot1984: ^ heh, true
vampdocette: yeah
Anonymoose84: Having worked in food services I pity poor George!
vampdocette: awww
BlindSpot1984: I wonder, do you think Dave was a wimp or would he stand up for himself? we don't really know, but since he & George seem to get along the most, I wonder if he'd try to fend Biff off his old man,etc
Anonymoose84: *Cool George: This is all very depressing...I'm not THAT much of a nerd..Young George: Yeah...we are!
BlindSpot1984: LOL
vampdocette: Hmmm
vampdocette: lol
Anonymoose84: LOL Dave sets Biff's car on fire ala Shandy's comic ;-)
vampdocette: hehehehehe, yeah
BlindSpot1984: Hehe, that was funny - thing is I could actually see that in his character
vampdocette: Pyromaniac Dave
BlindSpot1984: I bet at BK he had his share of near misses. Could you see him on the grill an average night, lol
vampdocette: hehehehehehehe
BlindSpot1984: "Dave, fries are on fire." "God damnit" *takes out extinguisher*
vampdocette: I don't know about TP George -- I have him as workaholic in LP
vampdocette: Dave, I mean
Anonymoose84: LMAO!*Original Lorraine: David watch you mouth!
BlindSpot1984: I could see that -- esp with his office job
Anonymoose84: *Cool George: He wants to work hard now, play later....good kid...
BlindSpot1984: Those are total opposites - they should meet, hehe
vampdocette: yeah, I mean, he just gives off that vibe
Anonymoose84: *Original Dave walks in to see Cool Dave working his fingers to the boneHeh, what a nerd!*
BlindSpot1984: Hehe
vampdocette: hehehehehe
BlindSpot1984: I bet he was so different 'cause George was
Anonymoose84: Cool Dave: This nerd is getting his own convertiable.Original Dave: God damnit!
vampdocette: hehehehehe
BlindSpot1984: Hehe. // And LP Linda reflected Lorraine more too.
vampdocette: Yeah, really
Anonymoose84: Indeed....
BlindSpot1984: In my universe, TP dave is still a slacker and kinda going nowhere fast.
vampdocette: Ahhh, yeah
BlindSpot1984: a funny slacker, at least. HE seems like the kinda guy who was class clown, etc
vampdocette: lol, yeah
Anonymoose84: *Original Dave: Hey I made manager at least...
vampdocette: :-D
BlindSpot1984: Not a nerd as much as George, but kinda driving people away with his loud mouth and all, or telling jokes at the wrong times
Anonymoose84: Poor Dave...
vampdocette: Ahhhh
Anonymoose84: Hey cool a new March Challenge for Back to the Fanfic!
vampdocette: Aha, neat
BlindSpot1984: Cool - i'll have to look at it...
BlindSpot1984: Who won Febuary's I wonder>
vampdocette: Got me
Anonymoose84: I don't think it's a competition it's just to get you writing. But it'd be a toss up between Ael and I since we stayed under the word limit ;-)
vampdocette: lol
Anonymoose84: Young George: Vote for me, or Darth Vader will melt my brain!
vampdocette: lol
vampdocette: *holds up a hairdryer*
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, under 1000 is hard actually
Anonymoose84: The Georges run!The Lorraines: That really is a big problem...
vampdocette: hehe, sowwy, just wanted to see
vampdocette: My Georges would have a fear of hairdryers as well
Anonymoose84: ;-)Oh I have to go! :-( But I'll leave the chat window open because I don't wanna miss anything interesting! :-)
vampdocette: Ahh, bai Moose
BlindSpot1984: Okay. I'll leave it up too...
vampdocette: *hug*
BlindSpot1984: tty soon
Anonymoose84: So don't plan to kill me!*Hugs from the Georges, Lorraines, Catbus, Bob, Otto and Me*!
vampdocette: hehehe
BlindSpot1984: are you taking off for the time too, Vampie?
vampdocette: Nope, still on for now
BlindSpot1984: okay, I'll stay in then :-)
vampdocette: :-D
vampdocette: So what are you up to?
BlindSpot1984: Time does fly on here - I just noticed it's almost 8 out here.
vampdocette: Aha
vampdocette: Almost 11 here
BlindSpot1984: Just doing my random surfing for now.
vampdocette: Ahhh, ok
BlindSpot1984: Since I didn't get cast in the play this semester, I actually have more free time (thoughI wish I had!)
vampdocette: Aww, ok
vampdocette: too bad
BlindSpot1984: I guess that just means you shouldn't count on anything like that, lol
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: It actually works out okay since I'm working more and doing online classes anyway
vampdocette: Ahh, ok, cool
BlindSpot1984: so, how's your classes and all been going?
vampdocette: Going pretty well actually -- getting As and stuff on the quizzes so far :-)
BlindSpot1984: :-)
vampdocette: Next week is Midterms, then Spring Break
BlindSpot1984: I was surprised that sometimes, college work CAN be easier than HS
vampdocette: hehehe, yeah
vampdocette: I acutally doodle a lot in my classes :-P
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, me sometimes too. I have a tendency to pick stuff up quick, esp if i'm interested, so I end up having free time
vampdocette: hehe, yeah
BlindSpot1984: I do like the ones where it's once a week for, say 3 hours as opposed to twice for 1:30
vampdocette: I have two three times a week for 50 minutes, than two once a week for about three hours
BlindSpot1984: Then again, on the other hand, I do like getting out and all
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: In fact, that was why I resisted the idea of internet classes for like 3 years. Now I realized it's just easier (esp since my school is over 10 miles away)
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: and I've already got friends there, hehe
vampdocette: yay
BlindSpot1984: I think last time you mentioned looking for some other jobs and stuff--how's that been?
vampdocette: Eh, it's dried up for the moment now that I'm in school
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, I know how that is - i'm the worst multi-tasker in the world, lol
vampdocette: lol
BlindSpot1984: I've only stayed at BBuster for 5 1/2 years 'cause (among other things) it's very flexible for that stuff since there's no exact set shifts
vampdocette: Ahhh, interesting
BlindSpot1984: It is strange seeing it slowly change over time though, lol
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: It's like, the people I knew when I first started - I'll still see them occasionally and I'll be like "What's up" and they've gotten 3 other jobs, started a family and all. and I'm still there, hehe
vampdocette: Ahhh, hehe, I see
BlindSpot1984: some people have new jobs every few months, but I'm like nerdy George I guess, in that I kinda don't like change, heh
vampdocette: lol, yeah
vampdocette: I'm not too big into change myself, honestly
BlindSpot1984: yeah. Time passing and getting older is scary enough!
vampdocette: yeah, really
BlindSpot1984: things slowly get further away from the familiar - people you love get older. Geez, i'm making this sound like a downer, LOL
vampdocette: lol, it's okay
vampdocette: I'm a little freaked out by the thought of getting old, honestly
vampdocette: And, of course, I always think about it at night, so. . . .
BlindSpot1984: Yeah. It's like, i keep thinking, my grandparents on dad's side died of old age when I was 3 and 8. Now my dad's 67 (seems way younger, but still) and I always think I want to have kids soon to reverse the trend...
vampdocette: O.o I see, wow
BlindSpot1984: but I'm still freakin' 8 at heart myself, hehe. And nowhere near close to thinking about something like that now. Scary in a way
vampdocette: hehehe, yeah
BlindSpot1984: if logic dictates, I'll probably not have kids till i'm around 40-45 either. I don't have a choice really since I was an only child (can't expect my brothers & sisters to, lol)
vampdocette: heheheh, yeah
vampdocette: Only child here too
BlindSpot1984: which means, if I don't, once I'm dead, the family tree goes down. :-(
vampdocette: awwww
BlindSpot1984: yeah. I kinda wish that wasn't true now. I wish I had a brother/sister sometimes, heh
vampdocette: I'm okay with my status -- loner at heart and all that
BlindSpot1984: When I was younger, I may've not liked sharing a room etc, but I'd live, lol
vampdocette: hehehehe
BlindSpot1984: ^ I wouldn't have guessed (then again - much as it may not seem like it, I can be shyer than hell in real life in certain situations)
vampdocette: hehe, I'm pretty shy myself actually
vampdocette: Suppose I'm better with writing too than talking :-P
BlindSpot1984: I always found it odd that I can talk in front of the class, or go on stage etc and be fine, but going up to one person and initiatinf a convo, I'm like George, heh
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: ^ yeah. you can edit mistakes and all
vampdocette: *nodnod* Exactly
BlindSpot1984: which, weirdly enough, has made me less shy in the past 6-7 years. Before that, it was just the TV/video games/music for entertainment
vampdocette: Ahhh, great
BlindSpot1984: I never cared for the phone that much either
vampdocette: Yeah, me too
BlindSpot1984: if someone calls me, I'll happily talk, but there's times I'm reluctant/shy to do it -- which has resulted in me losing touch with people over the years (you think I'd learn, lol)
vampdocette: Ahhh, yeah, heh
vampdocette: Same here, I'll chat if you call me
BlindSpot1984: Yeah. Heck, even online, i'll often wait for someone to IM me ;-)
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: I sometimes do it the other way with Loretta 'cause she & i always talk, though
vampdocette: Ahhh, I see
BlindSpot1984: Speaking of which, I didn't miss her b-day, did I? I know its in March sometime
vampdocette: O.o Good grief, I've forgotten myself
BlindSpot1984: yeah, I'll have to look it up, lol
vampdocette: I haven't been chatting with her much lately
BlindSpot1984: yeah, same here.
vampdocette: yeah
vampdocette: Ahh, it's the ninth, we're safe :-P
BlindSpot1984: Anyway, weird as it sounds, I sometimes think I should've been born 30 years earlier. One reason I've been shy or whatnot in the past is a good portion of my peers are kinda the drinking/smoking crowd, or white rappers, lol
BlindSpot1984: :-)
vampdocette: Ahhh, yeah
vampdocette: I haven't wanted to smoke or drink, and I HATE rap
vampdocette: (Although I like Linkin Park)
BlindSpot1984: I like 2005 okay - I mean, like it or not, it is my "home" time, but sometimes I feel like 'blah', lol
BlindSpot1984: ^ Yeah, they're more rap/rock
vampdocette: Ahhh, yeah
vampdocette: *nodnod* and two of the songs off one of their albums have become "Theme Songs" for one of my fan fics
BlindSpot1984: Or this is the generation that you have to have cliques and all ( I hate those, lol)
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: That;s cool - I only am familiar with "one step Closer"
vampdocette: Ahhh, yeah, I've got two of their CDs
BlindSpot1984: They seemed like a slightly better version of Limp Bizkit and all
vampdocette: http://www.linkinpark.com/site.php that's the site, with songs
vampdocette: "Numb" is one of the "Theme Songs"
BlindSpot1984: I mean, i'm sure it's no coincidence they're still around, while Kid Rock and the other rap-rock guys a few years ago are kinda dying out.
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: ^ okay, I'll check it out
vampdocette: :-)
BlindSpot1984: I actually am ok with rap itself, I just hate the "pimps and ho's" stuff. Or anytime I walk down the street and it's blaring from some car, I think '20 years ago, this would be unheard of' LOL
vampdocette: yeah, I know, blargh
vampdocette: Slang these days can be so annoying
BlindSpot1984: Ever seen the movie 'Blast from the past'?
vampdocette: Nope
BlindSpot1984: ^ Yeah, every time I catch up with it, it's something else (and I'm fairly hip, lol)
vampdocette: hehehe
BlindSpot1984: ...long story short, in the Cuban Missile crisis in '62, a mad scientist builds a big underground shelter...
vampdocette: Oh, yeah, I know the basic plotline, just never seen the movie
BlindSpot1984: 35 years later, he ventures out to see if thre's any survivors, and sees a hydrolic-ed up car with gangsta rap...
vampdocette: blah
BlindSpot1984: and he says "They're mutants with strange vehicles" or something, LOL
vampdocette: Nice welcome, huh?
BlindSpot1984: yeah, lol
vampdocette: :-
vampdocette: :-D
BlindSpot1984: brb - gotta check on dinner.
vampdocette: ok
BlindSpot1984: alright back. Nothing like computer dining, lol
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: my parents are out somewhere late tonight -- still feels strange being alone in the house at night, heh
vampdocette: hehe, I see
vampdocette: *updates LJ*
BlindSpot1984: well, then again, with the music on and being here, I'm not "really" along ;-)
BlindSpot1984: *e
vampdocette: lol, yeah, I know
BlindSpot1984: I'm the type that, in a power outage is like "what's left to do now?" lol
vampdocette: *snork*
vampdocette: There really isn't much you can do without light
BlindSpot1984: It's funny 'cause about 10 years ago, we had one of those, and my parents kinda joked that was the first time we all 'talked' in a long time, hehe
vampdocette: lol, I see
BlindSpot1984: ^ yeah, they always happen at night too it seems
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: I've ended up oversleeping cause the alarm got "12:00"ed too, hehe
vampdocette: lol, yeah
BlindSpot1984: They need to invent something where it has, like a 10 minute delay (some things I think, do actually)
vampdocette: Yeah, I think my alarm clock can store the time for a while even if the power's off
BlindSpot1984: It's funny, when I was much younger I thought you could "trick" it. I once had to unplug my alarm cause I had to put something big in the bottom outlet. I went like really fast into the top plug. didn't work, hehe
vampdocette: hehehehehe
vampdocette: too bad it didn't
BlindSpot1984: Yeah
BlindSpot1984: (food break). VCRs & DVDs are like that too. I hate having to re-enter everything.
vampdocette: Ahhh, yeah, really annoying
BlindSpot1984: You know what's a good idea, but I doubt they'll do it
vampdocette: what?
BlindSpot1984: a dual VCR with a DVD player - kinda like those boomboxes with 2 tapes and a CD
BlindSpot1984: that'd probably cost like $700 though, lol
vampdocette: lol, yeah, probably
BlindSpot1984: whoop, be a little slower - Alt just IMed me
vampdocette: ah, ok
BlindSpot1984: I can still talk actually (I'll just reheat the spaghetti later -- it's actually still good. Unlike, say fries, LOL)
vampdocette: lol, ok
vampdocette: *pokes around her devART faves*
BlindSpot1984: Yeah I heard of that website
BlindSpot1984: I should put some stuff up there sometime
vampdocette: Yeah -- I've got an account myself
vampdocette: DocFangirl1
BlindSpot1984: Yeah (I'll remember that :-) ) i know alot of people from the MB are on there too
vampdocette: hehe, yeah -- including Shandy
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, I like all his stuff - I dount I could do comics that good
vampdocette: A lot of my favorites are Doc Ock Stuff, though -- I've become a Movie Marvel freak, and I loved Spidey-2
vampdocette: *nodnod* He's good
BlindSpot1984: Yeah. i only saw Spidey 1. Was 2 better?
vampdocette: Well, I loved both, but I would say 2 was better
vampdocette: Doc Ock looks so cool
vampdocette: OckDoc: Thus the creation of me
BlindSpot1984: That's cool -- esp 'cause sequels often aren't as good
BlindSpot1984: :-)
vampdocette: hehehe
vampdocette: yeah, I know -- I loved both X-Mens too
vampdocette: Nightcrawler rocks ;-)
BlindSpot1984: I never saw those movies actually - but everyone who has says they're cool
vampdocette: Hey, if you liked Spidey 1, I think you would like the X-Men
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, esp since I like that kind of stuff anyway. I'll check it out sometime (where I work, i have no excuse for not seeing movies, lol).
vampdocette: hehehe, yeah, really
vampdocette: You should do like a Marvel Marathon :-P
BlindSpot1984: I could. I realized, probably 25% of the shows I watch are animated. I couldn't even imagine a live action Simpsons, lol
vampdocette: lol, I see
BlindSpot1984: jw - how many other movies/series do you like enough to write fanfics and stuff on, besides BTTF?
BlindSpot1984: I was thinking about that today, since I've probably got like 200 movies
vampdocette: Well, the Marvel stuff, even though that's crossover
vampdocette: I'm also planning two Terminator 2-themed Sagas for J.C. Jones
vampdocette: And I did one 1984 fic just because that book really got to me
vampdocette: But mostly its BTTF :-[
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, same here - I like the other stuff mostly for just watching and occasionally discussing
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: Was 1984 about how they actually thought the year would turn out in the 40's?
BlindSpot1984: It's got a big brother feel to it
vampdocette: I don't think so
vampdocette: O.o
vampdocette: ... It STARTED Big Brother
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, true. I had it reversed, lol
vampdocette: hehe, muchly
vampdocette: I think the author was really commenting on his own times with that thin
vampdocette: thing
BlindSpot1984: Yeah. Maybe a "1984 could be like this" idea
vampdocette: yeah
BlindSpot1984: Well, I guess Orwell was right - there was a big brother, but his name was Peter Venkman, hehe
vampdocette: *snork*
BlindSpot1984: oddly enough, when alot of movies predict the future, it's like that
vampdocette: Ahh, yesum
BlindSpot1984: I think that's why Bob wanted to make 2015 'bright' and all.
vampdocette: Yeah, bright future, happy happy
BlindSpot1984: It's gonna be strange to be on the ride in, say March 2015. "Yay, we're going 8 months into the future" lol
vampdocette: hehehehehe, yeah
BlindSpot1984: Alt got another IM too, so my responses will be a little faster now, lol...
vampdocette: hehehe
BlindSpot1984: Time flies here too - moosey has been gone over an hour I think
vampdocette: hehe, yeah
BlindSpot1984: He signed off - so I'm gonna reheat. brb in 2 mins or less
vampdocette: ok
BlindSpot1984: alright back. The kitchen looks like a ghost town now. Perfect place for a halloween story, lol
vampdocette: lol :-D
BlindSpot1984: I need a microwave in here, heh
vampdocette: hehehe, would be useful
BlindSpot1984: yeah. I just don't wanna get so lazy that I get that chair George Costanza had in that Seinfeld episode, where it had a fridge and a toilet all in one, hehe
vampdocette: lol, yeah, I know
BlindSpot1984: Then again, there's times (esp this time of year, when it's cold and all) where I'm like "I don't wanna get up" lol
vampdocette: hehe, I know the feeling
vampdocette: Especially in the mornings -- "hmm, get up or nice warm bed"
BlindSpot1984: for that reason, I put my alarm halfway across the room so I have to get up to shut it off
vampdocette: Ahhh, I see, good idea
BlindSpot1984: ^ Yeah, I alwyas have to go when it's so comfortable too
vampdocette: awww, yeah
BlindSpot1984: i make sure it's music I don't like too, heh
vampdocette: lol, that helps
BlindSpot1984: I used to have it on country, but I found myself liking the stories over time, hehe
vampdocette: lol
BlindSpot1984: I also, sometimes find it hard to make myself fall asleep - if only I could be as tired at 11PM as in the morning, lol
vampdocette: hehehe
BlindSpot1984: In the summer, I'll go on a jog or something - not exactly weather to do that in now though, lol
vampdocette: lol, I knwo
vampdocette: know
BlindSpot1984: heh, speaking of songs, "Louie louie" just came on the mix tape I've got on - 40 years old and still nobody knows the words, heh
vampdocette: lol
BlindSpot1984: you can make your own, hehe
vampdocette: :-D
BlindSpot1984: I read that it came out in '62 or 63 - must've been wild for that time, lol
vampdocette: lol, probably
BlindSpot1984: Geez, all this talk about sleep is making me want to go actually, lol. But I think I can squeeze another hour out
vampdocette: Actually, I think I'm gonna head out
BlindSpot1984: yeah. Me too probably in that case..
vampdocette: I generally try to be off by 12:30 and such
BlindSpot1984: It's been nice talking (as always)
BlindSpot1984: Yeah, me too now
vampdocette: hehe, tanku, same here
BlindSpot1984: :-)
vampdocette: See ya later
BlindSpot1984: G'night - tty soon
vampdocette has left the room.
BlindSpot1984: I'm going to bed too - Moosey, if you see this, I saved it. TTY shortly
