More to come soon.
I love constructive critism by they way ;)
Hoverboardkid - February 11, 2005 01:48 AM (GMT)
Awesome. Story tensions is building... can't wait for the real juicy plot. Very well done artwork, (especially the first two frames on the first page of Marty) I can see it improving throughout the comics that you have made.
Lil' White Dove - February 11, 2005 04:43 AM (GMT)
Intriguing story so far, I wanna know how Einy got to 1986 when the LP timeline already happened...
One thing, though, how does the DeLorean say the destination time was set for 1 minute into the future? The time display shows the last departed time, the current time, and the destination time for the next trip . . . not the destination time for the last trip. I mean, it's a neat idea if the DeLorean was supposed to go one minute into the future but for some reason made a mistake and went one year into the future, but how could Marty know about it? To him, it would look like someone set it to go one year into the future, and yet he says, "It even says your destination time was for 1 minute into the future."
Shandy - February 11, 2005 04:59 AM (GMT)
^ Because he reads the top read-out that tells you "where you're going"
It 'appears' it says that the DeLorean was supposed to go 1 minute into the future back in 1985.
I don't completly undertstand your question, but I hope that answers it.
lol, thats the coolest smilie!!
And it will be explained how the DeLorean is in 1986.
And thanks Hoverboard kido :george:
Lil' White Dove - February 11, 2005 05:01 AM (GMT)
Ah okay, got it. Thanks for clearing that up. I was reading too much into it.
What the crap is Dave doing with gasoline??? :docs2:

Ah, I get what you mean now.
But you're wrong. The destination time stays the same, even after you time travel. It doesn't go blank or anything.
EDIT: Oh, ok you understand me without this extra explination. lol.
As for Dave, wait and see, Emu ;)
Lil' White Dove - February 11, 2005 05:04 AM (GMT)
^ Yeah, definitely had a *slap self* moment there. What can I say, I've had a long day! :P
Shandy - February 11, 2005 05:06 AM (GMT)
^ lol. No worries. Almost as bad as my AIM moment yesterday  :D
Lil' White Dove - February 11, 2005 05:09 AM (GMT)
^ Haha, tis true. Speaking of which, this would be a lot easier if someone was on it now....
Shandy - February 11, 2005 09:23 PM (GMT)
^ Yep, you should.

I'm posting them here first, and bttf.com a bit later this time.
Just so it's a level playing field
LonePineKath - February 12, 2005 09:56 AM (GMT)
Great work, Shandy! I love the "I Want a New Drug/Ghostbusters" dig! Ha ha haaaa!
Shandy - February 12, 2005 10:16 AM (GMT)
Thanks so much, Kath! :D
I'm really happy you like it, probably more then you could know :)
Hoverboardkid - February 12, 2005 01:53 PM (GMT)
The plot thickens! I still don't get what's up with Dave, though. lol.
Very creative!!! 5 stars.
Eastwood McFly - February 12, 2005 05:55 PM (GMT)
Boy is this getting good.
I am loving it Shandy! It really refelcts on how your "comic" making has improved. I love how it shows his feet being taped because when the experiment really worked in BTTF ! that was such a common occurance.
I love how you build up supense and the artwork of what was taped of the experiement.
Keep it up!
Shandy - February 12, 2005 10:55 PM (GMT)
Thanks Hoverboardkido and Easty,
I'm thrilled you enjoyed it as much as you did.

More to come soon . . .

Glad to see ya back in action, mate! I'm enjoying this one so far. Plus, you know I love anything that takes place in the TP timeline or with nerdy George. :)
Just for the sake of it, even though we know the BTTF Universe operates on a single timeline, I'm gonna assume you're using parallel universes for this story, right?
(Then, if that's the case, as soon as Einy got to TP 1986, does it mean he never appeared 1 minute later in '85, like we see in the movie? I suppose Marty's memory would then be replaced with a 'new' TP timeline where he never got in the DeLorean because it never "returned", or am I making it more complicated than it is?)
In any case, since you know I'm into Huey Lewis (and I coincidentally lived in Sacramento for 6 years) I especially liked the reference at the beginning. :) I also think Dave dancin' around with gasoline seems to fit his character for some reason, LOL.
Also got a kick out of George pretending he was He-man, ROFL! Sounds like something I would write in a fanfic!
EDIT: Sadly, I'm missing a middle part. The two pictures you put up -- inbetween the post with Marty finding Dave at Burger King, and talking to Doc at the lab -- isn't showing up. :( I might be missing some plot points.

Yes, mate. I think you are missing some plot points.
I don't know why it's not showing up for you :(
Marty watched the video of the time travel experiment at Twin Pines Mall back and discovered that Einstein never returned. Doc worked out that it was because of a faulty read-out on the time display.
No parallel universes in this comic either.
Just a case of viewing the final timeline, and the SPE making sure Marty can still obtain a sorce of plutonium and send Einie back to 1985 the exact same way.
After all, if Einstein is in 1986, he can't be in 1985, so the timeline reverts back to TP. Hope that wasn't too geeky :docs2:
He's something that isn't too geeky-

Thanks for the support everyone! Please keep it coming.
And happy Valentine's day to all the pretty girls!
Hoverboardkid - February 14, 2005 02:06 PM (GMT)
LOL! I loved the line "Get ready to go back to washing cars, ya dork!" Best line so far, in my opinion. Again, nice artwork. Keep up the good work.

I think I'll give it a rest (have I been up tiil 6 AM!?) but I'll pick it up later today.
Shandy - May 21, 2005 02:11 PM (GMT)
^ No wuken furries Matey.
I had an idea for a new BTTF comic series. A cross over with the Drew Carrey show. But it's just an idea at the moment.

Here's an awesome comic from Shandy! It's interesting to think of what would happen on the anniversary of the first temporal experiment.
