Hoverboardkid - May 4, 2004 01:10 AM (GMT)
If the Yankees stink why do they always win the World Series, hmm???
They're a great team, you just don't like them because they beat everybody... <_<
FireTrails - May 4, 2004 01:16 AM (GMT)
^No, the Yankees are the biggest showboats in the world. They are overrated, and they get beat by nobody teams. The Mets are gonna sneak up on them. I know it. Besides, everybody jumps on the Yankee bandwagon, but Mets fans are true and loyal fans.
bllprtclipper14 - May 4, 2004 01:37 AM (GMT)
i like the yankees because i grew up liking them so i am NOT a front-runner...and the mets stink anyway :P

I'm not much for watching sports, but when I do watch, baseball and basketball are okay. I don't have a favorite basketball team, but for baseball, I like the Sox, Cubs, and Yankees.
My favorite sport (or sports) is track and field, partly because I participate in it at school. Watching it is also cool, and I can't wait for the Olympics this summer. :D Marion Jones is probably my favorite runner.

Well, the Yankees aren't the biggest showboats in the world, but there is some truth to what you said about the fans. Most the fans just like the Yankees because they 'win' all the time. I'm for the Yankees, only because Alex Rodriquez was traded to them and he's my favorite player. Go Alex! B)

I am not a big sports fan. I don't like wrestling or football at all. But I like to play and watch basketball.
If you count Dance as a sport and not an art, well then that is my favorite. :D

You're mad stupid. The Mets don't suck, they've been winning a lot since this season started. And BTW, the Lakers are very over-rated too. Knicks all the way! :D (and Pacers too) ;)
crevax - May 4, 2004 07:22 PM (GMT)
FOOTBALL!!! FOOTBALL!!! FOOTBALL!!!!! Football is so fun.
football: Walter Payton
Blind Spot - May 5, 2004 05:46 AM (GMT)
^ I'm not that big on watching most sports on TV, but going to games is fun. I've mostly attended baseball games, so I'm more familiar w/ that than football.
Favorite Hockey player: Happy Gilmore.
Also, my parents are into golf (we even used to live on a course, in my favorite house we were in from 1986-90), so I grew up playing it on and off. However, it's really frustrating trying to play a full 18 holes, and many times I've done a few Happy G'ish routines (in my head, though  ) when I swing at the ball and either miss and/or hit it 2 feet.
I play basketball sometimes too. I'm better at shooting than anything else  :o . I really gotta learn to not dribble on my foot.

Has your dad ever thrown out his back?
Maybe he'll have to go upside-down on one of those things...
Oh, maybe he'll have to wait to 2015...
Blind Spot - May 5, 2004 02:16 PM (GMT)
^ LOL, not yet. But he is the same age as George, interestingly enough.
However, just of note, Old George didn't throw his back out from anything golf-ish, in the novel, I believe, it says a flying car fell out of the sky and hit him. Ouch, poor guy! :(

The Lakers suck. Kobe Bryant isn't the best player in the NBA, that position happens to belong to LeBron James. The Lakers are too over-rated. You don't even know as much about basketball as me.
Aaron - May 6, 2004 01:00 AM (GMT)
Basketball: Nets - Jason Kidd! - Sorry we swept you guys, Fire Trails! ;)
That's about it. I used to watch wrestling, but when they merged WWF and WCW it started to go downhill.

Whoa-ho there! Lebron James the best player in the NBA? Not yet. He's still got a few more years before he can claim that crown. And some would say that Carmelo's the better rookie (not the league, of course) ...
crevax - May 6, 2004 01:59 AM (GMT)
Can't forget Michael Jordan in Basketball
FireTrails - May 6, 2004 06:53 PM (GMT)
No doubt I got a lotta respect for Carmelo, but Lebron has showed me the most this year. Kobe is getting boring IMO. Tim Duncan, Jermaine Oneal, Stephon Marbury, and Lebron have really showed me something this season.
And Aaron, it's ok that u guys swept us, but it wouldnt feel as bad if Kenyon Martin wasnt such a show-off!
