I like most of y'all's lists so far, as well. :D Man, this is hard, but here's 10 that I really like from different artists.

Every Breath you Take - Police

I still feel like I left many out -- about 99,990, and I can't say if these are my absolute faves, but if I had to pick only 10 to hear the rest of my life, it would look close to this.

I'm a Linkin Park guy now. Since I don't know much about music, my only qualifications are that is sounds good and that I can sing to it. I don't really like rap, but I can't help loving every song Linkin Park does. Every one of their songs puts me into the "rock mood." Perfect match for my low attention span I suppose. :D

Aaron - June 5, 2004 01:25 AM (GMT)
I got treated to a three of my fav songs in a row today on K-Rock (I was so excited!). "Otherside" by RHCP, "Breaking the Habit" - Linkin Park, and "Dammit - which I just learned is the title instead of "I Guess This is Growing Up" - Blink 182.

Rare is the occasion that I get treated to three songs I absolutley love all in a row.

Lil' White Dove - June 5, 2004 07:12 AM (GMT)
First ones that come to mind...

"Handle With Care" and "Heading for the Light," both by the Traveling Wilburies.

Some good songs at the moment...

"Ocean Avenue"- Yellowcard (I like this song alot).
"Let's Get It Started"- Black Eyed Peas

And a lot of Maroon 5 stuff. ("This Love", "Sunday Morning", "Harder to Breathe", "She Will Be Loved", and "Shiver" are some of my extra favorites).

FireTrails - July 16, 2004 08:57 PM (GMT)
My favorite song right now is "Got it twisted" by Mobb Deep.

Blind Spot - August 6, 2004 01:28 PM (GMT)
I know I've picked too many choices now with the "Favorite" stuff, hehe, but another fave for me is "Dancing in the Dark" from Bruce Springsteen.

It was his biggest and most pop sounding hit from the Born In the USA album, and featured a very 80's like video with, yep, dancing (on stage).

Given its fun, upbeat rock sound, I'm pretty sure Marty would've liked it too.:D

Eastwood McFly - August 6, 2004 01:34 PM (GMT)
Some Earth, Wind & Fire stuff like "September" and "Shining Star".

I love this song here: "Is It Okay To Call You Mine"- Paul McCrane

We Are- Vertical Horizon

Blind Spot - September 26, 2004 08:15 PM (GMT)
I change my immediate favorites alot too (even though I've always liked the same ones, pretty much).

Right now, a few I've been playing alot:

"Rock & Roll Girls" John Fogerty - Of the three hits off his 1985 Centerfield album, this is certainly the one that slipped through the cracks. Basically it's a pop/rock 80's update of Creedence's sound.

"Is This Love" Survivor - OK, this one has never really left my constant play list. This is the epitomy of what tons of people would call "cheese rock" but I don't think you could have a catchier 80's rock song if you tried.

"Self Control" Laura Branigan - This dance-rock type pop song always held special memories as one of the first I ever liked, even if I wasn't a big time Laura fan. However I've been listening to her a bit more lately, since her sudden, tragic death a few weeks ago. :(

NOTE: I recently also found out this was the first video MTV ever edited for s*xual content.

"The Flame" Cheap Trick - Certainly one of the more unique power ballads of the late 80's from the originators of pop/punk styled hard rock (are you listening TRL bands? ;) ).

"We Built This City" Starship - If any song doesn't deserve a place as VH1's #1 most awesomely bad song, it's this one. If you can't sing along with this happy pop/rock song, you're either (1) a Kurt Cobain fan, or (2) clinically dead.

I wonder who even still reads these descriptions, LOL.

That band was also the one that sang Eye of the Tiger yeh?

^ Yeah, that song rocked too.:) (Different vocalist, but he sounded almost the same).

Backto1955 - October 3, 2004 02:14 PM (GMT)
I have another new one that I have never heard before until I watched "Holes" again last night. It only played during the credits.

If Only- Fiction Plane

^Some of it reminds me of BTTF too :)

Aaron - July 2, 2005 01:44 AM (GMT)
Hey, I know a lot of people listen to music while they're online, but for those who don't, or get into their fav songs so much that they must sing along and can't concentrate on a message board  don't forget about this topic!!!!

Anyway, I'm totally obsessed with two new Green Day songs, "Holiday" and "Jesus of Suburbia" (the latter being nine minutes long! :docs2: ) I also like "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," but I'm just totally digging the other two too much right now to bother with it.

And I've added another Beatles song to my iTunes to join "Imagine" - "Across the Universe," which I've been enjoying listening to lately.

LonePineKath - July 18, 2005 08:05 PM (GMT)
I'm really into music at the moment, which is funny because normally I'm a film & TV person and rarely put a CD on.

However, my current favorite songs are 'Does your Mother Know' by Abba (thanks to a short road trip we took last week where we sang it about 10 times over!) It atually has the phrase 'chick like you' in it! Bless those Swedes! It makes me laugh everytime I hear it!

Alone Again (Naturally) because it's reminding me of a lovely friend atm

and tonight,

The Apartment Song by Tom Petty, maybe because I'm all alone tonight (only until midnight, but still, it's lonely!)

"I'm okay, most of the time, I just feel a little lonely tonight"

Blind Spot - July 20, 2005 03:27 PM (GMT)
Cool to see this at the top of the list again - not the memories of the Biff Erasing Scene threads perhaps, but a nostalgic feeling here nonetheless, LOL!

The thing about liking so much music, like I do, is constantly rotating your absolute faves. For now, my Top 10 (probably will be different in a week though!):

Give to Live - Sammy Hagar
End of the Innocence - Don Henley
Sister Christian - Night Ranger
Who Can it Be Now - Men at Work
Rhythm of My Heart - Rod Stewart
Sail Away - John Fogerty
One More Night - Phil Collins
When I See You Smile - Bad English
Parental Guidance - Judas Priest
Sara - Starship

Other than "Who Can it Be" and "Parental Guidance", all of those are either slow or middle tempo songs of different styles - I guess I'm in kinda one of those ballad moods lately. ;)

I now have both of these songs going round and around in my head! I must be particularly sponge-like when it comes to music! I seem to get any old song stuck in there as soon as someone mentions it!

The other night I had "Sandy" from Grease going round and round in there!  ("Why-yie-yie")
