What is your favorite gizmo or piece of the 80's?

It can be things like the cars, toys, songs, hairstyles, or whatever...

I love KangaROO Sneakers and I hope to get a pair soon after I can find a pair of my size...

Here is a picture of a style of ROO's.

I used to have a pair of those KangaRoo sneakers! :D But they don't fit me anymore. :(

It's hard to pick on piece of the 80s that is my favorite. I like a lot of music, many TV shows, and almost all the music from that time period. I also like the video games from that time and a whole bunch of other things too. Cool topic Eastwood. :) :martyjr:

I miss generally long/frizzied hair the most. Back then, almost everyone had it, and it just looked flashy and cool to me. Jon Bon Jovi circa 1987 is a good example. :D

It's the striking opposite of the nearly shaved head look of today -- but hey, nothin' against that at all. On one hand, it is comfortable and there's nothing to have to comb. It's just not quite my style.

Yep. I'll be playin' NES until I'm dead and buried.:D

I think part of its appeal for me is that the games were not only fun, but fairly easy to learn. I still remember, back in 1986/87 me and my dad playing the original Legend of Zelda game on summer vacation until, like 2 A.M. some nights. B)

I also have an NES.
Games I got with it are:
Back to the future game (Anybody want it? PM me if you do. Spotty might want it.)
Mickey's Mousecapade
The Little Mermaid ( I'm waiting for the DVD to come out)
Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt. (My bro likes to play Duck Hunt.)

I had a Colecovision that included Donkey Kong & Donkey Kong Jr. I sold the system to reserve the NES that was at a pawn shop. I own it now.

Colecovision came out in 1983, NES in 1985.

What does NES stand for? We have a Nintendo 64, and relatives have a Super Nintendo, is that what it is?

CompGeek700 - February 27, 2005 03:20 AM (GMT)
Nintendo Entertainment System

Any quick google search could tell you that, but if you aren't that into anything technological, then I guess it's alright. :martyjr:

Oh, lol, silly me, of course! I never even thought of google, lol! But don't worry, usually I would, it just slipped my mind at the time, though.

For the record, not only I have an Nintendo Entertainment System. I also have a Super Nintendo with Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (which I beat 6 times), A Playstation One. Have yet to get a slim design PS2.
