Title: What Are Your Favorite Video Games?

Alternate Strickland - May 2, 2004 03:25 AM (GMT)
What are your favorite Video Games? Some of mine include Halo, the sonic games, the mario games, Final Fantasy games, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Unreal Tornament, and the Tony Hawk games.

MGM777 - May 2, 2004 04:10 AM (GMT)
BF1942, Bf Vietnam, Call of Duty, Hidden and Dangerous 2, Halo, Half-Life, GTA Vice City

TheJoker - May 2, 2004 06:30 AM (GMT)
I really enjoy playing James Bond Everything or Nothing and GTA series. But now since I just got the limited edition Halo X-box, I think things will change.

EDIT:I played Halo and now thats on my list.

Many, but I still will always prefer my old NES over anything. :D

One of them would have to be Mario Bros 3. As I've told some of y'all before, level 4 (the Giant World) used to - and still does - scare me. :o

The pirahna plants usually can't come up if you're standing on, or next to the green pipes they're in. On this level, though, they can. So I still shudder at the thought of the little blokes coming up from below me while I'm standing on the pipe.

I'm such a wussy that I'll waste a flying leaf suit (or even a P-wing) on some of those mazes. And, no, I still haven't had them come up on me after 14 years of playing. :P

I really liked my SNES, but I had to sell it to get a Gamecube. I know, I know... trash me if you want, but hey, there are some good games out there. But Super Mario Bros. was the BEST, man. Mario and Luigi rock! Although, we never beat that game, since our sister erased the data accidentally twice... Sigh... oh well...

picpak - May 3, 2004 11:10 PM (GMT)
Sega Genesis rocks. They had cool games too. All the Sonics, that Marko game I got, that game with the bazooka-shooting cat...good times, good times. :P

I love my NES and Sega Genesis emulators! :P I love the Mario and Sonic games especially. Toe Jam & Earl was also pretty cool.

As for modern games, I have a PS2 and I like platform games, like the Spyro games (the ones for PSOne), Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, etc.
For some reason I also really like scary games like Silent Hill and Resident Evil. RE is okay for me to play on my own, but SH scares me so much that I'd rather watch my brother play it than play it myself.
We have GTA3 around here somewhere--I played that a long time ago and really like it as well.

Anyone play the BTTF games for NES/SNES/Genesis? I've only played through the first one on NES, and it's a pretty crummy game, but the Johnny B. Goode mini-game was kinda cool.

I have PS2 and I like GTA3 cuz it's a good stress reliever to go on wild, random killing sprees. I also like Need for Speed Hot pursuit cuz I can drive 88 mph and not get a ticket ;) Well, providing I don't have pursuit mode on. hehe.

Star Fox 64 is my favorite game ever. I'm not even big into space shooters or shooters in general, but this one was great!

TheJoker - May 7, 2004 01:47 AM (GMT)
O yeah and Goldeneye was great as well.

I know. Star Fox was awesome. I think it was one of the best games for Nintendo 64, and it was the best sirplae/shooter, IMO.

I recently started playing Super Smash Brothers and it has been awesome. Also, I've been a fan of handheld system Mario games (NES and SNES Mario are just too confusing for me, N64 and Game Cube Mario are ok)

TheJoker - May 7, 2004 06:02 PM (GMT)
I love Metroid.

How can those be more confusing? The newer ones are in 3d!

TheJoker - May 7, 2004 09:22 PM (GMT)
I dont understand either....the game boy ones are the same as the Nes and Snes ones except that they are just playedon a bigger screen.

Back on topic.....Another good game that is included on my list is Tetris.

howard - May 8, 2004 01:32 AM (GMT)
I meant that in the handhelds, you only had so much choice in completing the game. The big screen games have a ton of choices on how to procede in the game usually.

Anyway, I forgot to mention the Gex games for the playstation. I thought those were good.

Mcfly_Jr - May 8, 2004 03:40 AM (GMT)
I've been playing Super Back to the Future 2 on my snes emulator lately. The text's japanese but its still a good game to play.

Pit Bull - May 8, 2004 12:01 PM (GMT)
1080 for Gamecube is pretty good.

Hoverboardkid - May 8, 2004 01:03 PM (GMT)
And I also like Animal Crossing. That game is so fun! Even if it is a bit... how shall I put it... strange?

Blind Spot - May 9, 2004 03:36 AM (GMT)
I don't even think I've yet posted it, but if I had to pick one video game to play for the rest of my life, it'd be the original Legend of Zelda for the NES. :)

The graphics and game layout were very good, eapecially for its time. Despite having beaten it many times (I can even do it in a few hours if I try enough), I'm always finding new things I can do with it, and it's never grown old with me, probably never will.

There's actually two quests - the original one, and the 2nd one (which you can get to automatically if you name of of your players "Zelda" -- but the 2nd one is still alot harder for me, and I've only mastered it a few times. I still forget where stuff is there (it's the same mazes and all, but they're in different places and all).

Also, having had it since '87 when I was 5, it's really got sentimental childhood value to me. :D
