I made new forum markers. Now on the main forum page the Mr. Fusion symbols mean that there is a new post in that forum while the inverted Mr. Fusion symbols means that there are no new posts in that forum.

Now that I am figuring out more of this stuff and have some time off, I plan to add more icons like this, fix the banner, add new forums, add more custom smilies (like this one: :88: ) and possibly get a new skin all in the next few days.

Let me explain the meanings of the new icons that I didn't already explain:

The Clock from the BTTF Clocktower means that it is an Open Topic with new replies.
The Pepsi logo means that is is an Open Topic with no new replies.
The Flying Delorean means that it is a Hot Topic with new replies.
The parked Delorean means that it is a Hot Topic with no new replies.
The Mr. Fusion symbol (it is smaller than the ones on the fron page) means that it is a Poll with new votes/replies.
The Flux Capacitor means that it is a Poll with no new votes.
The Buford Tannen smiliey means that it is a locked topic.
The BTTF arrow means that it is a topic moved to another forum.

And the "New Topic" Button now has a picture of Marty in it.

I love all the new smilies. They are great!!! Although I tend to use the quick reply function most of the time, I might click "Add Reply" once in a while. Or I could always use the option of bringing the smilies up in another window...

What do you think of the BTTF theme I have playing? Should I keep it? Or use another BTTF-related song? If I change it what song should I change it too?

Try listening to it about 30 times to see if its annoying to hear. Is there any way to have a random midi playing instead?

I changed it to a midi version of Johnny B. Goode. I think it is less annoying than the BTTF Theme midi version.

I think that you should take it off altogether. It's not that I don't like listening to it--it's just that every time you go to another page, it starts over, and hearing the beginning over and over again is starting to get annoying, and I've only been on the board today for about a minute! :lol:

One more thing, I don't really like having the pics of characters as smileys. Anyone else with me?

Yes, can you please get rid of the music? It is very annoying because it asks me this weird message each time, and it is now a hassle to post on the board. Please get rid of it, Strickland, if you would be so kind.

Is it just me or does anyone else do not understand the 30 different symbols by each topic in each section. Maybe it is just me becase I did not read throughlly what they ment but just skimmed but after awhile I keep wondering how differnet the Pepsi symbol is to the Buford Tannen one.

I still think that we should get rid of the clickable smilies that are real pictures. I could try to make some BTTF themed smileys in their places.

I haven't been able to get on much but I will take down the pictures I made into similies. I am going to see if I can turn them into avatars you can choose from (although you can still make and use your own). I will still keep the marty one though.

LWD, if you want to make some bttf similies go ahead and PM me some. If you can't, I can just use more of the bttf smilies that French marty made. Actually, I think I'll use both. :) And I liked your idea to make you and Blind Spot perment Super Mods. This would help me out when I make new forums and change/add/delete moderators.

And I still have some more updates to make. They won't be done tommorow as I won't be home but I hope they will be up by Sunday.

Edit: I took down the bttf picture smilies (except Marty). They will still show up in old posts though. I also added the new topic button with the black background to the board.

Anyway, I'd put this in the "Banner and a Contest" thread, but it's closed. I made a new version of the current banner--I think this one is better because it goes all the way across rather than just being at the left:


I'd like to make some more versions of this--that one is a "Doc and Marty" version. I can make more that include more characters and/or key props. When I do make more, perhaps I'll make a poll to see which one everyone prefers to be the banner.

One more thing, here's my attempt at a Marty smiley to possibly replace the photo of MJF in the Clickable Smilies:

It's not that great, but hey, I tried! Hehe. If you guys find that you like it, sorry about the background, I couldn't copy a non-rectangle shape out of Paint to save as a .jpg, so if anyone can make the background clear, I'd appreciate it.

The only way to get the background clear is to do it as a GIF. I usually do it by using Gif Construction Set. I went back into paint and resaved it as a GIF, then I used Gif Construction Set to make the background clear.

I added the forums, super moderators, and changed the moderators a bit. This isn't finalthough but if you have any problems with it PM me.

Thanks to Outatimedelorean and LWD, we now have a new Marty smiliey! I will add some more by French Marty too.

I added the new banner but if anyone wants to make a new one post it in the re-opened banner contest topic. I will center it once I find out how to do it.

Maybe rather than have a character go with the "ADD REPLY" button, we could use a prop. Maybe Mr. Fusion or the almanac. I think that we should save the DeLorean itself for the "FAST REPLY" button.

I have put up a new banner (obviously) and hopefully nobody has a side scroll now.

I added team icons. Tell me if you like them or not.

I really like the new smilies and the banner is pretty cool. Dunno about the team icons, though. I think it'd be cool if you could make them more decorative / BTTF-themed, but for now it just looks like they're taking up space. Kinda useless too, since we already have a line that says what group we're in.

I agree with the team icons. I thought they would be a good idea but I didn't really like how they came out. The darker blue pips (the little squares) looked better with the board anyway so I'll switch them back.

I will try to get some better "new topic", "new poll", etc. buttons soon.

^Beanie, I don't know what is wrong with your computer but I can see all of the icons fine. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just beanie?

Also I added the BTTF on the Net forum today. I hope you all like and use it. :)

I also added a member legend at the bottom of the board. Admins are red, super mods are blue, moderators are black and members are white.
