In my ficverse, Dave's middle name is George.

I figured the McFlys were in the habit of giving their children middle names that are names of beloved relatives - even though I kind of had Calvin of both the Twins and Almanac Universes break the tradition. However, I didn't think it would ever be the father's middle. Since I already gave Martin Douglas McFly to Seamus' brother, I figured Douglas wouldn't work to well for the name of their father.

BTW, do you know of any sites to find out how common names are in a certain country? I was uncertain of Angus McFly - since I've known Angus to be more of a Scottish name, than an Irish name. Maybe it is popular in Ireland, too, though.

Maybe Seamus, Martin, and Douglas' father's name could be George?

Also in my ficverse, Arthur's middle name is William.

I haven't really thought of full names for the McFly girls, except Marlene.

Seamus, Angus, and Martin are the three siblings. Douglas is Angus' son, and they move to America in late 1903.

I came up with Seamus George McFly and Martin Douglas McFly. They maybe have an uncle named Douglas, who stayed in Ireland.

We know that Seamus and Maggie named their son William Sean McFly. I'm thinking that Sean could either be the name of Seamus' father, or the middle name of Angus. I thought of Angus Arthur McFly, but I thought that might be too much - so I decided that Angus' son could be Douglas Arthur McFly.

Maybe Arthur could be Arthur Martin McFly, but I'm a little leary of that idea, as George would've likely mentioned his father having the same middle name as his new friend - and, also, "our" Marty is named after both "Calvin Klein" and Seamus' brother. Maybe Arthur could have the name of Seamus' father as his middle name.

I don't want to use David as the name of any of George's ancestors, since I've already established that David was named after Lorraine's favourite uncle.

Now, I have to think of middle names for both Lindas. I thought of Linda Margaret McFly, but I figured that might be too much. I don't want to use something plain, like Linda Anne McFly. Linda's middle name should probably come from a relative on Lorraine's side of the family - preferably not a sister, though.

I figured that Marlene's full name should be Marlene Stella McFly, named after Marty's beloved grandmother - who, I'm thinking, has already fallen ill around Marlene's birth.

I kow there's been discussion that one isn't a "true" junior, unless he has the exact same name as his father - so both Marty Jr and Marty III have Seamus for a middle name.

Come to think of it, maybe I'll have Sean be the name of Seamus' father - and giving that as a middle name to William would carry a certain significance. So I'll have to think of a name that hasn't already already been used - as use that as both the middle name of Angus and Arthur.

Also, maybe Marlene is a beloved relative in the Parker family - perhaps the mother of Sarah - and, since it's somewhat similar to Marty, decided it would be a good name for their daughter.

Sean would be a good name for Seamus' father. I wonder who he would look like. Crispin Glover with reddish-brown hair?

That might not be a bad idea. Maybe the gene is recessent in Seamus and William, but shows up again in Arthur. Arthur gets the black hair from his mother, though.

I finally came up with middle names for the Baudelaires (except Beatrice).

1. The names of the McFly brothers are Seamus George McFly, Angus Riley McFly, and Martin Douglas McFly. Their parents are Sean and Roisin.

2. The names of the eldest two children of Seamus and Maggie are William Sean McFly and Linda Roisin McFly.

3. Angus has a son named Douglas Arthur McFly.

4. William has a son named Arthur Riley McFly.

5. In the Haven Universe - Marlene children are Eileen Ashley Hartford, Megan Ellen Hartford, and Heidi Olivia Hartford. Melody's daughter is Susan Josie Nelson.

6. I changed Clara Clayton's middle name to Louisa - since Gretchen sounds too similar to Greta, which was the name I gave to her sister.

Okay, a few more to add:

1. Marty's mother is Lorraine Margaret Baines.

2. I added in the Kleins, from the Father Universe. Martin Seamus McFly has become Calvin Martin Klein, and he married Lorraine Margaret Baines. The children are David George Klein, Linda Eileen Klein, Martin Seamus Klein, and Arthur William Klein.

3. I finally figured out the full name of Marty's sister: Linda Eileen McFly.

4. While Clara did name her daughter Jennifer Jane Parker - when the Peabody's adopted her, it was changed to Jennifer Mildred Peabody. She later changes her name to Jennifer Mildred Parker.

Does Lorraine's uncle David look like Marc McClure? Maybe Roisin could look like Wendie Jo Sperber?
