Here's one of my favorite lines from Neighbor by Ugly Kid Joe:
Well I know just what you're thinkin..
I could be you out here, drinkin.
Don't you knock it, until you try it,
it could be you in a little while..
Hope I didn't ruin your day!

How could I have forgotten this and left it sit in the dust?:o
Anyway, I'll start with three I like:
1) Self explanatory, LOL.
"Some guys have all the luck.
Some guys have all the fame.
Some guys get all the breaks.
Some guys do nothin' but complain'...
"Seems so unfair, when there's love everywhere, but there's none for me."
--Rod Stewart, "Some Guys Have All the Luck (1984).
2) A nice description of how someone might feel leaving home - set to a slightly hard/classic rock & roll sound.
"Goodbye to all my friends at home.
Goodbye to people I've trusted.
I've got to go out and make my way.
I might get rich, ya know I might get busted.
But my heart keeps callin' me backwards
As I get on the 707.
Ridin' high, I've gotten' tears in my eyes.
You know you gotta go through hell before you get to heaven."
--Steve Miller, "Jet Airliner" (1977).
3) Now, this one is just funny. Sad and overly exaggerated (with the believablilty factor out the window), but funny.:D
"There were 73 of us livin' in a cardboard box.
All I got for Christmas was a lousy bag of rocks.
Every night for dinner, we had a big ol' chunk of dirt.
If we were really good, we didn't get desert.
When I was your age...
Dad would whoop us every night till a quarter after 12.
Then he'd get too tired, and he'd make us whoop ourselves."
--Weird Al Yankovic "When I Was Your Age" (1992).

In no order:
1." ...Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember how the stars stole the night away..."
"September"- Earth, Wind & Fire (Pretty much the whole song too).
2."Hey Julie,
Look what they're doing to me
Trying to trip me up
Trying to wear me down
Julie, I swear, it's so hard to bear it
And I'd never make it through without you around
Hours on the phone making pointless calls
I got a desk full of papers that means nothing at all
Sometimes I catch myself staring into space
Counting down the hours 'til I get to see your face".
"Hey Julie"- Fountains of Wayne
3." I don't mind spending everyday
Out on your corner in the pouring rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay awhile
And she will be loved
She will be loved...
...Tap on my window knock on my door
I want to make you feel beautiful"
"She Will Be Loved"- Maroon 5

"Another turning point a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go
So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable, but in the end is right
I hope you had the time of your life."
"Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" - Green Day.
^ Love that song. Also been listening to J. Lennon's "Imagine" a lot recently. The lyrics really fit my beliefs in a lot of areas. My fav part:
"Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you will join us
And the world will be as one"

^ I love the lyrics to "Imagine" as well! :)
My favorite lyrics at the moment:
"Beware of sadness,
it can hit you,
it can hurt you.
Make you sore and what is more,
That is not what you are here for.
[...]
Watch out, now, take care, beware
Of greedy leaders,
Who take you where you should not go,
While weeping at the cedars,
They just wanna grow, oh oh oh."
"Beware of Darkness" -- George Harrison

Sway - Coal Chamber
The roof the roof the roof is on fire
We don't need no water let the motherfucker burn
Burn motherfucker, burn! x4
Burn! burn! burn! burn!
Just a little and nothing now it's over
Just a little and nothing now it's done
What you said, no, you're never gonna say again
In your own special way you tear me down!
Sway - so hypnotic x8
Neither up nor down, just been turned and turned
It just sits inside so it burns and burns
If I can't decide what makes you hurt
In your own special way you tear me down!
Sway - so hypnotic x8
So ask me please x4
Give me something good, now
Something
Give me something good, now
Give me
Fire!
Sway - so hypnotic x8
Come sway this way

Wow - what a great topic!
Here's some Weird Al lyrics that Shandy once sent me (I've never actually heard the song) but they always make me laugh because this song is me! (I'm an ebay addict!)
(Sing it to the tune of "I Want it that Way by The Backstreet Boys)
Artist: Weird Al Yankovic
Song: Ebay
Lyrics :
A used ... pink bathrobe
A rare ... mint snowglobe
A Smurf ... TV tray
I bought on eBay
My house ... is filled with this crap
Shows up in bubble wrap
Most every day
What I bought on eBay
Tell me why (I need another pet rock)
Tell me why (I got that Alf alarm clock)
Tell me why (I bid on Shatner's old toupee)
They had it on eBay
I'll buy ... your knick-knack
Just check ... my feedback
"A++!" they all say
They love me on eBay
Gonna buy (a slightly-damaged golf bag)
Gonna buy (some Beanie Babies, new with tag)
(From some guy) I've never met in Norway
Found him on eBay
I am the type who is liable to snipe you
With two seconds left to go, whoa
Got Paypal or Visa, what ever'll please ya
As long as I've got the dough
I'll buy ... your tchotchkes
Sell me ... your watch, please
I'll buy (I'll buy, I'll buy, I'll buy ...)
I'm highest bidder now
(Junk keeps arriving in the mail)
(From that worldwide garage sale) (Dukes Of Hazard ashtray)
(Hey! A Dukes Of Hazard ashtray)
Oh yeah ... (I bought it on eBay)
Wanna buy (a PacMan Fever lunchbox)
Wanna buy (a case of vintage tube socks)
Wanna buy (a Kleenex used by Dr. Dre, Dr. Dre)
(Found it on eBay)
Wanna buy (that Farrah Fawcet poster)
(Pez dispensers and a toaster)
(Don't know why ... the kind of stuff you'd throw away)
(I'll buy on eBay)

I know it's a bit late, but I love the lyrics to Imagine as well.
Here's some of my favourite lyrics from Queen's song Bohemian Rhapsody;
I see a little silhouetto of a man,
Scaramouche, scaramouche will you do the fandango-
Thunderbolt and lightning-very very frightening me-
Galileo,galileo,
Galileo galileo
Galileo figaro-magnifico-
But I’m just a poor boy and nobody loves me-
He’s just a poor boy from a poor family-
Spare him his life from this monstrosity-
Easy come easy go-,will you let me go-
Bismillah! no-,we will not let you go-let him go-
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let him go
Bismillah! we will not let you go-let me go
I like the way the music changes in that song. :P
