Title: Jill Wooster's Rejection Of Jules Verne
Description: Doc's reaction vs Marty's reaction

I don't know why - but, for some reason, I just got to thinking about this. Of course, Marty has (on more than a few occasions) expressed his displeasure with Needles liking the same music that he likes.

Of course, it's pretty well known that (in an earlier draft of Part III) Jill Wooster makes that comment about not really liking Jules Verne - as like a final parting shot. Flaming Trails and I probably both made her even meaner to Doc - than she likely was, in the draft.

Anyway, I was thinking about how Doc was very crushed with learning that - while Marty's response tends to be more along the lines of, "Would you even want someone like her liking Jules Verne?" As you can probably guess, I tend to side with Marty on this.

When you think about it, though - I think what really bothered Doc, was the idea that Jill hadn't been very honest with her. I can understand not wanting to upset someone - by admitting that you really don't like someone's favourite author, actor, musician, or whatever. With Jill, though, it seemed to be more of a case of intentionally misleading Doc - than just a simple desire to not want to hurt his feelings.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on this whole thing?

It did seem like she was misleading Doc. Of course, there is that small possibility that she only said that she didn't like Jules Verne to piss him off.

Yeah, that could also be possible.

BTW, don't you hate that new formatting they have fo the forums at FFN? I hope enough people complain about this new "upgrade".

I always hate it when forum sites do new formatting. That's what makes people leave. I loved the old days when the forum sites I visit have a plethora of people.
