Let's use this topic to speculate all kinds of things for the timeline we can't help but be curious about.

It's a timeline that a lot of fanfic writers like to explore. Kristen Sheley explored it in A Pair o' Docs. Mary Jean Holmes explored it briefly in Running Out Of Time. Charles A Murphy explored it in Return to Hell Valley and Woman of the Year. Flaming Trails has her Night and Day Universe, and I have my Almanac Universe. A few other ficcers at FFN have done alternate takes on Marty in that world.

Anyway, let's start out with discussing George and Lorraine. I don't see George ever beating up Lorraine, and I also don't see him agreeing to work for Biff. I guess I'm kind of in the majority of those who believe he was working against Biffco, and that he was shot in the process of picking up the award he won in the LP timeline. As for Lorraine, I did have her lash out at Marty - the time he was kicked out of boarding school. However, she eventually did apologize to him. However, Marty didn't leave the timeline with his mother hating him. Lorraine-A probably was prone to mood swings, though - as TP Lorraine was.

From what we saw in Part II, though - she did seem very concerned about her son.

I think Hell Valley Marty is very different from our Marty. Hell Valley Marty probably started drinking at the age of 14 (As that was America's drinking age in that timeline) and did a lot of hard drugs while he was living in Switzerland. I think his Swiss boarding school was pretty strict, but still better than Biff's. Biff probably had more kids in the Hell Valley timeline. He did get married three times, but had no kids with Lorraine.

I guess I don't really like thinking of Marty being that wild. He cares more about school, as he's spent most of his life in boarding schools. He wants to be a rock star, and he doesn't know how ro skateboard.

The culture is probably a little bit different. Hard rock and heavy metal probably still exists, but not arena rock or new wave. Huey Lewis and The News becomes Huey Lewis and The Rebels.

I like to think most rock bands stay the same.

I have mixed feelings on that, actually. On one hand, I've come to really like the concept of Huey Lewis and The Rebels. I just thought it's be funny for Marty's favourite band to be different.

Well, let's think of TV shows. I don't think Family Ties would exist, and the idea of Alex P Keaton admiring Biff Tannen just doesn't sit right with me. One would wonder how much control over the media Biff Tannen had.

I always figured that Marty's boarding schools were strict. I don't think Biff would allow him to go to one that's too lenient.

Still, I wouldn't change too much of the music scene. And I think there's already a band called the Rebels.

I see your point, but I think Biff was more interested in just getting Marty out of the way. I guess I just don't want Hell Valley Marty to suffer too much. I mean, I'm sure he suffers enough at home.

I see. I think Prufrock is heaven compared to Biff's home.

Well, with "Gunther" being there, I'm not sure of that. Also, having to deal with unfair treatment and being a social outcast can't be very fun - and, not to mention, the mandatory concerts. I'm sure the school Marty went to was better than Prufrock - or, at least, that he wasn't subject to unfair treatment or a social outcast.

I agree.

What do you suppose most people in that world thought about Biff? Do you think Biff was ever allowed to enter other countries?

I guess many people feared Biff. I think Biff was allowed to enter other countries. He does have all the money in the world. I suppose some countries see Biff as a threat.
