Title: A Match Made In Space
Description: What would it be about?

It would probably be based loosely on that week of 1955 - from the viewpoint of the parents, of course. In the film adaption, Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson were chosen to play the couple - specifically because they resemble George and Lorraine. I'm thinking of having Jason Bateman be the alien who matches up the couple. To place Michael J Fox in that role would probably be a little overkill.

I basically chose Jason Bateman, since he's sort of MJF-lite. Michael J Fox, I figured, would already have an extra role of playing Jaws 5: The Rising - which would come out between Mind Warped 3 and Doc Hollywood. The Mind Warped trilogy, of course, replaces the BTTF trilogy in the BTTF Universe. Anyway, the couple (Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson) would have the more important roles in the film.
I'm still trying to think of the background for the creation of Jaws 5. I'm thinking that, shortly after the release of Jaws 4, Jennifer decides to try her hand at writing a possible script for Jaws 5. She already has somewhat of a hobby of writing Jaws fanfic, although she doesn't call it "fanfic". Some are stories she wrote for Creative Writing.
Somewhere along the way, she befriends a girl named Tracy Holt - who is also a big Jaws fan. She has relatives who works for the industry, while Jennifer doesn't know it. Tracy likes the script, and she sends it in. Jennifer is excited to learn that the people in the industry like her script. They would make certain edits to the script, but the basic plot would be the same. The movie is so well-received, there is quickly a demand for Jaws 6, then Jaws 7, and on and on. Jennifer doesn't write any of the other scripts, though.
I was thinking a little bit more about the Mind Warped premise. In the first movie, there is no centralized universe. Both universes are of equal importance. The second movie introduces a third universe, where both of the movies featured in the first film exist in that universe. What I'm trying to decide, is if Mind Warped also exists in that universe - not parts two and three, of course. I'm thinking that one of the universes for Mind Warped has a teen scientist (no Christopher Lloyd).
I can't believe I'm really getting into talking about movies-within-a-movie. There is a lot to think about, though.

So, needles 1987, what do you think?

I think it's a good idea.

Hey, thanks! :) I'm not even a big Jaws fan - and the main reason why I had Jennifer write the script was Jaws 5, was to explain why Jaws 5 doesn't exist in our world. In addition to having the gang see the film adaption of AMMIS in B&TAE, I'll probably also elaborate on how Jennifer wrote the script. I never really detailed it in Like Mike, since that story focused mostly on Marty and Jennifer meeting MJF. Also, I have to come up with an explanation that could be plausable. Come to think of it, I should've maybe had George McFly write the script - but it's too late to change that now. Maybe he helped give Jennifer a hand in writing the script. I'll come up with something. Anyway, George seems to be more into aliens - than sharks.
Just an idea, and I'm not sure if I should do it - but maybe Verne suggests the idea of the plot for Stuck In The '70s, but he never says exactly where he got the idea from. That way, it won't be so freaky to Marty. I was sort of thinking about that, earlier.

As I made my last entry to the "rejected lines" topic, I just thought of a better reason to not have Michael J Fox in the role of the space alien from A Match Made In Space.
I did have it in my story, that George suspected that Calvin Klein and Darth Vader might be the same. Also, maybe sometime after November 12, George meets Sherman Peabody - and Sherman tells him about how an alien landed at his family's farm, and then mutated into human form. George is intrigued by the story, and he uses it to further support his belief that the two might be the same. I should do a ficlet on that.
Anyway, with that established, he would probably have it in his novel - that Lorraine had a crush on the alien, before meeting George. So, for that reason, George and Lorraine decide that Michael J Fox isn't a very good choice - as that would be a bit creepy. So, as a result, they opt for Jason Bateman.
Also, for Stuck In The '70s, I just realized that the Verne idea wouldn't work too well. I first mentioned that movie in Double Trouble, which takes place in the Twins Universe - and, in that universe, Doc never married Clara Clayton. So, I'll have to think of something else. I'm thinking that movie should exist, even in the Twin Pines Universe.
