Marty McFly was skateboarding over to Doc Brown's house. He was a little worried. He had no idea why Doc asked him to come over.

Marty was amazed that it was only three months ago that Doc got married and gained two kids. For Doc, it was really ten years. But that's time travel for you.

As he reached Doc's house, he saw that Doc was nowhere to be seen. Then he saw Doc come out the front door.

"Marty," Doc exclaimed. "You made it."

"So, what were you wanting to do today, Doc?" Marty asked. "Is this going to involve time travel?"

"No, we're not going to travel through time today," replied Doc. "I was thinking that we could maybe check out another dimensions. I must admit that I'm curious to see what our lives could have been like. How about you, Marty?"

"I must admit that I am a rather curious to meet some other versions of myself," said Marty. "I wonder how my life may be different, if some of the circumstances in my life were different."

"I've added a device that allows us to travel to other universes," said Doc. "I believe our dimension code is #EJ 616. I think we should go to dimension #EJ 617 to see how similar that universe is to ours." As Doc and Marty got in the Delorean, they drove over to Hill Valley park.

After setting the dimension code to #EJ 617, Doc began to accelerate the Delorean, until it reached 88 miles per hour.

Looks like a great start. I love it! :)

It can hardly wait to see how "our" Marty reacts to the retro-futuristic universe. You and I both love hard rock, so we have a hard time imagining a world without it.

"Are you sure you can't make it in time to have lunch with George and Lorraine?" Calvin Klein asked his wife, as they were drinking their coffee at the breakfast table.

"I'm sure," replied Elin. Elin was a 5'6" Swedish woman with long flaxen blonde hair and clear blue eyes. It has been thirty years since she came to America as an exchange student. After graduation, Elin Rundgren married Calvin Klein instead of returning to Sweden.

"Damn, I'm late," exclaimed their 21-year-old son, Eddie. Eddie is 6'0" with blond hair and slate blue eyes. He works at McDonalds. Marty and Elin also have a blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter named Layla, who had just turned 14 a week before. She is only 5'0", but she still has a few years before she stops growing.

"Edward Lewis Klein!" exclaimed Elin. "Watch your mouth!"

To Calvin Klein, it was like deja vu. Calvin remembered the same conversation happening between his brother and mother three months ago, or thirty years ago. Calvin may seem like a typical everyday man, but he's not. He had once been Martin Seamus McFly, the son of George and Lorraine McFly. He was a teenager of the 1980s before he went back to 1955. On the night he was supposed to go back to 1985, lightening struck a tree branch and caused the car to crash. He was stuck in the 1950s and he managed to adjust to life in the '50s very well. Of course, it meant his aspiration to be a rock star was completely out of the question. But all in all, he is very content with his life.

There was a temporal displacement of air as a flying Delorean appears.

"We are now in Dimension #EJ 617," said Doc. "Let's see if there's anything different from our dimension."

"I just hope we're not back in Hell Valley, where Biff rules everything," said Marty.

"Don't worry, Marty," said Doc. "If we are in a Hill Valley ruled by Biff Tannen, we will leave immediately."

Marty and Doc were walking towards Marty's home in Lyon Estates to see if Marty's family still lived there. George's BMW is in the driveway, so it's their house. As the front door opened, George and Lorraine walked out. They were very surprised to see Marty there.

Lorraine ran up to Marty and hugged him very tightly.

"I'm so glad you're home," said Lorraine, crying. Then she let go and her voice became more angry.

"Where have you been?" asked Lorraine. "We have been worried sick about you. You could've been killed."

"What are you talking about?" asked Marty. "I just left for Doc's house this morning. I left a note."

"This morning?" asked Lorraine, confused. "You left three months ago and never came back." Marty was stunned. He was confused as to why his counterpart would run away from home. Just then, a Subaru pulled up and a man who looked like a 47-year-old Marty McFly stepped out. Marty fainted at the sight of the man.

Sounds awesome! I can hadly wait to read more. In the meantime, why don't you check out my topic - A Match Made In Space. I was speculating about various movies that exist solely in the BTTF Universe.

I should maybe expand more on what Stuck In The '70s would be about. It shouldn't be exactly like Back to the Future, of course - but very similar. The present would be 2007, and the past would be 1977.

needles1987 - March 7, 2008 04:47 AM (GMT)
I am still thinking about what Calvin Klein's career would be. Being a rock star would be completely out of the question, for obvious reasons. Maybe a salesman for a computer company? Or maybe a traveling PR man?

bttf44 - March 7, 2008 04:58 AM (GMT)
Hmm, maybe you could have him work at a music store. :) You could have it where he's still doing something he likes, but not changing history too much.

Anyway, did you read the topic, A Match Made In Space? I have several movies-within-a-movie I kind of wanted you imput on. In two more chapters of Bill and Ted's Atypical Expedition, I'll probably feature the gand after watching the film adaption of George's book.

needles1987 - March 7, 2008 08:44 PM (GMT)
If he works at a music store (or any store), he wouldn't be making enough to own a home. Don't get me wrong. It's a good job to have if you're still living with your parents.

bttf44 - March 7, 2008 09:28 PM (GMT)
I suppose you have a point. He could always just stay in Doc's mansion - as Kristen Sheley did in her fic. Still, I know you want to do something different - and give him a happier life. Well, I'm not sure what he can do that would make money - but not be too influential.

He could maybe work for Xerox. :)

needles1987 - March 7, 2008 10:27 PM (GMT)
I'm sort of think Marty could be a music journalist and interview rock stars for magazines.

bttf44 - March 8, 2008 12:02 AM (GMT)
Yeah, that might work! It should be something that (1) Marty enjoys, (2) is not too influential, and (3) will make Marty a decent salary. He probably would make a fortune with Xerox, but it's not something he would really enjoy.

Maybe, just for kicks, have him do an interview for Michael J Fox. I mean, don't write it in detail - since FFN has a restriction on RPF, but a casual mention should be fine.

needles1987 - March 8, 2008 03:50 AM (GMT)
I think I'll have him mention doing an interview with Michael J. Fox. After being stranded in the '50s, he does become best friends with George, Billy, and Lester , and he's still friends with them to this day. He never thought he would be part of his dad's small group of friends. He even made peace with Biff.

Oh yeah, and in this story, Calvin finally tells George and Lorraine the truth about who he really is.

bttf44 - March 8, 2008 04:08 AM (GMT)
Sounds awesome! Go for it! Just out of curiosity, why did he think he would never be a part of George's small group of friends?

needles1987 - March 8, 2008 06:13 AM (GMT)
He never thought he would be the same age as his dad. That's why. And because it's his dad and his dad's friends. Could you see yourself going back in time and becoming friends with your mom and her friends?

bttf44 - March 8, 2008 08:24 AM (GMT)
I suppose I see what you're saying. It would take a lot of getting used to, to think of your parent as being your peer.

"Mom?" asked Marty, sleepily. "Is that you?"

"You've been asleep for nearly six hours," said Lorraine.

"I had a nightmare," said Marty. "I dreamed that I saw my older self from the future."

"You're safe and sound now," said Lorraine. "You fainted when Calvin Klein arrived."

"Calvin Klein?" exclaimed Marty. He sat up as the light was turned on. As Lorraine left the room, Calvin came in with Doc.

"We have decided to tell your mom and dad the whole truth about me," said Calvin. "They need to know why you left and why you're never coming back."

"I'm going to get the Delorean, so I'm going to leave you two alone," said Doc, as he left the room.

bttf44 - March 12, 2008 04:39 PM (GMT)
Poor Marty! He's so confused. Yeah, he doesn't seem like the kind of person to run away - and now, he'll have to figure out what happened.

needles1987 - March 30, 2008 05:03 PM (GMT)
I decided to make Calvin Martin Klein a music teacher.

bttf44 - March 30, 2008 05:55 PM (GMT)
That sounds like a good idea! :)

needles1987 - March 30, 2008 06:57 PM (GMT)
He even taught his younger self how to play.

bttf44 - March 30, 2008 06:59 PM (GMT)
Hey, love it! I can hardly wait to read more! :)

bttf44 - April 4, 2008 01:05 PM (GMT)
Just out of curiosity, what is Jill Wooster like, in your ficverse? I guess I made her pretty mean in mine, but she was also real mean in Flaming Trails' fic. I can imagine, though, if Doc ended up marrying her - it just wouldn't be a very happy relationship.

needles1987 - April 4, 2008 08:04 PM (GMT)
She pretended to be happy. It fooled everybody.

bttf44 - April 7, 2008 06:22 AM (GMT)
Maybe together, you and I can establish her character a little more. I agree with what you've said on the other board, about how Jill Wooster doesn't like individuality at all. I didn't phrase what I was trying to say very well. Basically, she puts on the act of claiming that she doesn't mind Doc being an individual - just that he shouldn't be one "in public".

needles1987 - April 9, 2008 06:20 AM (GMT)
I'm really struggling with my story right now.

bttf44 - April 9, 2008 06:47 AM (GMT)
Do you want me to help you out? I know you've helped me out in the past, and I might be able to come up with some ideas. Let me know what you think, okay?

needles1987 - April 9, 2008 08:55 PM (GMT)
I'd love to have you help me.

bttf44 - April 9, 2008 09:33 PM (GMT)
Okay, I guess we're at the part where Marty sees Calvin Klein - and then he passes out.

Well, we should definitely have an interaction between the Martys. Maybe, later on, Calvin and the Docs finally explain to Lorraine who he really is. While Lorraine comes to accept that his son is no longer a teenage boy, maybe she asks the younger Marty to promise to visit on occasion.

How's that, for an idea?

bttf44 - April 19, 2008 07:34 AM (GMT)
How many chapters do you plan to have, for each universe? :)

needles1987 - April 19, 2008 04:18 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure.

needles1987 - May 3, 2008 01:56 AM (GMT)
I decided to pull the plug on this story. I'm under way too much stress.

bttf44 - May 3, 2008 02:16 AM (GMT)
Do you mean you're going to postpone this story, or you think you'll never write it?

I myself have mixed feelings on Doc's Greatest Hero. I love the Family Ties episode, where Alex goes back to 1776. I suppose I could write the story without making it a crossover with Family Ties. Do you have any ideas?

bttf44 - May 3, 2008 03:59 AM (GMT)
Okay, I have an idea on what I can do. The story could could probably have about four-six chapters - and, just before Marty wakes up, he catches sight of another young man who looks like him. It would be sort of like a shout out to Family Ties.

needles1987 - May 3, 2008 12:55 PM (GMT)
I think I'll never write it. I'm sorry if I put you through too much hope.

bttf44 - May 3, 2008 04:55 PM (GMT)
I see. Are you better at doing one-shot ficlets, than with chapter fics?

needles1987 - May 4, 2008 05:31 AM (GMT)
I am.

bttf44 - May 4, 2008 05:43 AM (GMT)
I usually find one-shots to be easier to write. What I really hate, is when I have a good idea for a story - and then I get stuck, during the middle of the story. The tough part about story writing is being able to put everything in words.

I want to try to get second chapters up for Blast From The Fuure, The Girl of My Old Home, and As You Wish - before I finish up Time Travel Heroes.

needles1987 - May 4, 2008 03:44 PM (GMT)
I hate that too.
