Sounds good. Which BTTF universe do the Beaudelaires and Quagmires end up in?

Probably the Trilogy Universe - even though the Twins Universe would also be interesting.

I'm wondering if I could maybe find a way to combine the plots of In His Father's Shoes and Peggy Sue Got Married in one story. I could maybe make this one a NaNo project this year.

Both movies deal with going back into the past, but that the point isn't to alter anything in the past. About the only thing Peggy Sue possibly alters is having a book dedicated to her. In His Father's Shoes has Clay becoming his father, Frank, at his age. Peggy Sue Got Married has Peggy Sue going back 25 years in time to her high school years.

Maybe the first half of the story includes Marty Jr having a pair of shoes handed to him, and he can go back and become his father. The second half of the story maybe takes place a month or two later, and Marty Sr goes back 30 years and becomes his younger self. Generally, I guess this should be written as two stories - but I could maybe find a way to make the story flow smoothly.

This story would probably occur in the Newlyweds Universe - and I should maybe write the story about Doc and Clara adopting a future kid first. So I'll finally be writing more novellas for that universe.

Maybe I could still write the idea as one two-part story, 15 chapters each.

Since I actually started working on The New Boy In Town a few months ago, I decided to upload the first chapter yesteday.

The Narnia one and BTTF/FT/SC one I might not be doing for some time, yet.

I might wait until close to summer to finish The Next Generation 2 and then do The Next Generation 3.

Marty Got Married and In His Father's Shoes (I'll probably be using a different title - maybe the same title for both, and the Parts One and Two) will probably be my NaNoWriMo project for this year. It doesn't happen until November, since I'll have nine months to plan these fics.

The Marty re-living his own past will probably happen first, and then the Marty Jr becoming his father one will probably occur a month later. I might just use the fainting for both. Quite naturally, the Marty Jr one will probably have him finding out about the time machine, for the first time. Marty Sr would probably go to Doc for help with sending his older self back home, to his body - but Doc would be unable to fix this one.

Jules and Verne would exist in the Newlyweds Universe, but they would be a lot younger. I thought of giving Doc and Clara a second biological daughter named Harmony - Haven would probably exist, as well - who could also be Marty Jr's best friend turned romantic interest. Even if she might have blond hair, like her father - she'd probably be as tall as Clara. I'm not going to completely rule out the idea, but that would seem kind of like an odd pairing.

I've been doing some thinking on the Peggy Sue Got Married/In His Father's Shoe premise. I'm certainly not going to use the magic shoes, and I also don't want either Martys to have a heart condition.

In with keeping to the time travel theme of BTTF, maybe Doc invents a new device that allows one to briefly relive periods in their past - but without having the ability to control the younger body. However, when used on Marty Sr, the machine malfunctions - and Marty is able to have complete control over his 17-year-old body.

Maybe, about a month later, Marty Jr gets his hands on the device - and he also ends up reliving life as his father, one month later.

Anyway, how does that sound?

There's a new challenge at the livejournal community, backtothefanfic - which is for next month.

I'm thinking of making this one be an Almanac Universe fic, and adding that onto the My New Life As Calvin William McFly collection. It'll probably occur in early spring of 1986.

I have an idea. Calvin (Hell Valley Marty) has always been scared of thunderstorms, and he experiences his first storm in the improved timeline. It maybe happens in the middle of the night, and it takes place in November (but not on the 12th). While he's a little embarrassed, he seeks comfort from Marty.

Just a few items, for anyone interested.

1. I only have one chapter left, for A Ticket to the Movies - so I'm almost done with this week. I will be doing a sequel - where Marty Jr, George, and JB all go back to 1987. Marty Jr and George are the twin sons of Marty and Julia, while Julia Belle (JB) is the daughter of Vincent and Jennifer. Marty Jr is just like his counterparts from all the other universes - while George is similar in personality to Alex of the Twins and Almanac Universes, but he's the younger twin. I don't plan to start the sequel, until summer.

2. I'm already coming up with detailed plot ideas for Blast From the Future and Girl of My Old Home, so I'll probably start the fics next month. I'll probably concentrate more on completing Bill and Ted's Atypical Expedition and Time Travel Heroes, though.

3. After nearly two years of wanting to do a BTTF/Narnia crossover fic, but never getting around to it - I resolve to finally do one, for Christmas this year. I would like to make it Christmas-themed, and it would take place during Christmas of 1985 in the Trilogy Universe. I'll have nine months to plan to this fic.

4. Back to the Youth will be my NaNoWriMo project for this year, which will become two parts of one story. This will give me eight months of planning, and the waiting will be a little hard.

5. Doc's Greatest Hero will likely contain only six chapters, and it will be a BTTF/FT crossover fic. After watching Philadelphia Story, I just got to thinking of a similar story for Marty.

6. I just started on A Delightful Dimension and A Jubilant Journey this month, and I hope to get the second chapters up by the end of the month. Since these are both new, I'll probably be updating sporadically.

7. I do resolve to complete The Next Generation and Let Freedom Ring, but I might have to edit some of the chapters I have uploaded. The Next Generation was originally going to be much longer, but I decided to cut it down drastically. The only years visited in the sequels will be 1880, 1986, 2016, and 2046. For the sake of consistency with the original fic, I'd like for both sequels to have 15 chapters. I have to think of a suitable way to plan this, though. Let Freedom Ring will probably have 17 chapters, like Down with Big Brother. The future visited will probably be 2007.

8. Completing The New Boy In Town and Back to the Beginning will probably be my project for May. I'm looking at ten chapters for both fics.

9. A Fabulous Family will be the last of my trilogy of ASOUE fics, and I don't plan to start that fic, until I complete the other two I started.

10. I really would like to do a BTTF/FT/SC crossover fic, but this is one fic that I'm likely to not even write this year. Of course, it's still early in the year - but I can't really think of any solid plot ideas, except for the year the crossover should occur.

11. I don't currently have any solid plot ideas for What Is and What Should Never Be, but I really like to use the title of the Led Zeppelin song for a BTTF fic. The basic plot premise would have Doc and Marty going back in time, doing something to screw up the timeline, and returning to a drastically different present. This should be a Trilogy Universe fic. Other than that, I can't think of any specifics.

12. Daredevil Brown is the name I got from BTTF TAS episode, where Marty brings Jules and Verne back to Doc's childhood. I'm uncertain of if the plot idea for my fic would even be related to the events of that episode - but I do want to do a fic that has Marty bringing Jules and Verne back to 1927. Arthur and Sylvia will likely make a minor appearance, but young Emmett will likely have a bigger role.

13. I have two story ideas for the Almanac Universe, that I'm hoping to combine into one story. It would include a trip to the Old West, where Doc meets Clara - while Chris is likely already with Jessica. I would also like to have the teen versions of Marty Jr, Alex, and Mike meeting teen versions of their fathers. This one I have to figure out.

Does JB look like Claudia Wells?

No, she actually looks like Julia Rundgren - who looks like my YouTube friend, but is a little shorter.

I'm guessing that Julia and Vincent are of Swedish descent? I read somewhere that "Rundgren" is Swedish for "Round Branch"

Okay, I'll look up more on the origins of Rundgren. I thought all Swedish names ended in "-son", though. I'll have to find out more about this. It sounds interesting.

Nordgren is a very common Swedish name. Not all Scandinavian names end in "-son."

Oh, okay, I'll have to check into that, then.

BTW, if you can check out the "important dates" topic - as I want to try to keep all information for my "adoption" story in one topic - I just thought of more ideas for the story.

The last two that are on the list, I'm not sure if I'll get to them this year. Maybe, later this year, some plot bunnies for the last two will come to me. I really do want to use What Is and What Should Never Be as a title of a BTTF fic, though.

I just started on The Girl of My Old Home, and it'll have either 14 or 16 chapters. The first chapter has Verne in 1997. The second chapter would have Verne going back to 1987 - and the third chapter would have Verne and Marty going back to 1905, where they stay for a week.

Anyway, I'm trying to think of a reason for Doc to send Verne back to 1987 - and then for Verne and Marty to go back to 1905. If you have any ideas, that'd be awesome. Thanks.

I don't have any ideas. Maybe Verne just feels nostalgic.

Okay, yeah, I suppose I could do that.

Maybe, in 1997, Doc would like Verne to go back to 1987 - so that he can run an errand for Doc.

Meanwhile, in 1987, Doc would like Marty to go back to 1905 - so that he can run an errand for Doc.

Also, maybe the DeLorean Verne is using breaks down in 1987 - so Marty and Verne use the DeLorean from 1987.

Tentative idea, maybe something happens to the DeLorean in 1905 - and, of course, there is no Doc around to fix things. Yeah, Verne does get a little nostalgic for his old time period - and Marty is also pleased to re-visit the era. The problem with the DeLorean is something that Verne eventually figures out.

One confusing aspect of time travel in the BTTF Universe will likely be lampshaded. Once Marty and Verne realizes that Doc hasn't come back to rescue them, they deduct that it's a problem they could work out themselves.

The duo will probably stay with William and Annette, while Jennifer and Todd have left the town. Otis will likely make a minor appearance - and they also meet Tiff, who has recently been raped by Charlie Needles. Linda and her crowd will definitely be making a major appearance.

Maybe, at some point, Tiff suggests inducing an abortion - which horrifies Marty. While he wouldn't mind removing Jiff and his line of descendants, doing so could create a major paradox. Also, removing Jill could jeopardize Jennifer's existence.

Well, I got the first chapters up for The Girl of My Old Home and Blast From The Future. I will likely be doing more work for Bill and Ted's Atypical Expedition and Time Travel Heroes, though.

The Girl of My Old Home will likely be sixteen chapters long, while Blast From The Future will likely have twelve chapters.

Here's the basic outline I have for The Girl of My Old Home:

Chapters 14-15: 1987
Chapter 16: 1997

I have started watching Futurama within the past week, and an episode gave me an idea for a story. It would go well with the Almanac Universe. I think it should take place in the summer of 1986, shortly after Calvin starts dating Sarah. Doc tests some sort of experience, and it de-ages everyone by ten years. It de-ages them physically and mentally. Calvin jumps at the chance to live life as a kid, with his family - but Doc says that it's entirely out of the question. Doc beings the four kids back to 1955, to Disneyland. Jessica and Chris went on a vacation, so they don't join the crowd. Tabitha watches the kids, though - as Doc tries to fix what went wrong. At some point, one of kids messes with the time circuits - and the group ends up back in 1885. That's where Doc meets Clara.

Daredevil Brown ~ Marty McFly, along with Jules and Verne Brown, go from 1987 back to 1927. Arthur McFly will have already met Sylvia Larson. Trilogy Universe

Dazed of My Youth ~ Due to Doc's experiment gone awry - Marty, Calvin, Jennifer, and Sarah are all de-aged ten years. Tabitha brings the group back to Disneyland of 1955, and then the group ends up back in 1885. Almanac Universe

The Mysterious Cabin ~ The McFly family of 1986, as well as the McFly family of 2016, go on a camping trip. Thanks to a lightning storm, a log cabin connects the McFlys of 1986 with the McFlys of 2016. Almanac Universe

Back to My Youth ~ Marty McFly Sr of 2016 ends up back in time, becoming his younger self in 1986.

Back to Your Youth ~ A month or so later, Marty McFly Jr of 2016 ends up back in time, becoming his father in 1986.

The Next Generation 3 ~ Well, first, I would have to retool The Next Generation 2. It probably won't be for a long time.

What Is and What Should Never Be ~ I would like to use this title for a fic, where Marty screw up the timeline in the past. I don't currently have any specific plot ideas, though.

Crossover with Family Ties and Spin City ~ This fanfic crossover is just begging to be written. It would likely occur during the late summer of 2005. I don't currently have any specific plot ideas, though.

Doc's Greatest Hero ~ I keep wavering back and forth on this idea. This story would focus on Benjamin Franklyn. I thought of having it take place before the US Day of Independence, to tie in with the Family Ties episode about Thomas Jefferson. I'm thinking that it might be a better idea, though, to have the story focus around the lightning experiment.

I finally edited (or re-tooled, rather) "Oh, No! I'm Trapped". I also re-ordered my Marty Wept fics.
