Title: Ideas For Almost Christmas
Description: My Christmas Story For This Year

Any help with ideas for this story would be appreciated. Here is what I have so far:

1. This story takes place on December 24 of 2016.

2. Tabitha Palmer grants a wish for either Marty Jr or Marlene, who would like everyday to be Christmas.

3. The spell affects both Marty Jr and Marlene.

4. They end up reliving Christmas Eve six times in a row.

Okay, here's what I need help with:

1. Which of the two keeps messing up Christmas Eve, and how?

2. Is Tabitha affected by her own spell, too?

3. At some point, most likely Day Four or Day Five, Marlene and Marty Jr ask Doc if they can use the DeLorean to skip into Christmas Day. After a little coaxing, Doc finally agrees to give it a try.

4. It turns out that the DeLorean is temporarily unable to go anywhere in time. So I need to figure out what exactly happens, when the DeLoean reaches 88 miles per hour.

5. I'm thinking that, after the plan fails to work, Doc says something like this:

"Great Scott! It appears that Tabitha's spell has created a temporal retardation in the space-time continuum, rendering any method of time travel to be impossible!"

You should maybe have Marty Jr make the wish. Maybe have Tabitha tell Marty Jr and Marlene that the only way they can break the spell is if they have the best Christmas ever.

I think both of them should mess it up every night.

Okay, sounds good! :) During the first five times around, they tend to mess it up in some way. By the sixth time, they finally get it up - thus making up on Christmas Day the next day.

Maybe there's some guests staying over - so, because of that, Marty Jr and Marlene are temporarily sleeping in the same room. I have to think of what song they should wake up to every morning. Maybe something by Huey Lewis and The News.

Now I just need some ideas on how to solve the DeLoean issue.
