I just thought of this. What if Biff's wife (if he has one) kept her last name, or Biff simply got some girl knocked up? The kid could have been named Douglas after George (his middle name), perhaps out of Biff's newfound fear of / respect for George after the dance.

Alternate Biff did indicate that he drag-raced in high school, which is the same thing that Needles does. Maybe he got it from his old man?

And it would fit nicely with the idea that every McFly has a Tannen as an enemy.

That is an interesting theory, even though he wouldn't be Griff's father - but, then again, it is possible for Biff to have more than one son. In my fanfic universe, I did make the two of them second cousins. Here's the family tree I came up with awhile back.

According to the newspaper article, his last name is Tannen. We also get the real names of the three gang members.

On Needles' information, it said he had two daughters. Said nothing about a son. And it did say that Griff's last name is indeed Tannen.

Right, there is that, too. The older one was Roberta, while the younger one is Amy. Both made a brief appearance in The Prized Time Capsule. They're both forced to work, while having to give all their earnings to their father.

In your stories, did Needles still work for that Japanese company?

How was that? I don't remember if you've explained it or not. It was in The Tale of Martin McFly that I first thought to expand on the ancestos of Needles.

I decided not to make Needles Biff's son. Marty having a Tannen as his worst enemy would be overkill.

Yeah, I agree with you! Initially, Cliff was supposed to be Biff's only son - and it was Dave that he bullied. Miff was only added a little later, when I was writing The Next Generation - and he didn't bother Marty as much as Needles did.

What exactly made you decide to include Miff in your other ficverses? I know him existing in Haven came from the fact that Jennifer McFly cowrites it with you.
Have you noticed that a lot of Jennifer McFly's stories to seem to revolve around a Marty/Jennifer/Biff love triangle?

I think it's just for the sake of consistency. Although, I suppose the addition of Miff could've contributed to the changes in the Haven Universe - but I kind of like for the Lone Pine Universe to be relatively the same in all the universes, with the exception of the Twins Universe.

Well, I notice a lot of fics have paired Jennifer up with Needles - but I don't really see her willingly dating him, even if she was mad at Marty.

I noticed that. I don't think Jennifer would ever date anyone as ugly as Needles.

There is a Needles/Tannen connection in my ficverse, but you have to go back by three generations.

I wonder what Needles thinks of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
