Marty and Jay Jay are both slackers who hang out with misfits.
There's a big difference with Mr. Strickland and Mr. Kinney. Strickland hates Marty while Kinney and Jay Jay seem like they're almost friends.

What about the differences and similarities between Beau Middleton and Biff Tannen? How do you think the two of them would get along?
I'd love to hear the two of them exchanging witty insults at each other. Biff would invariable call Beau a "butthead", while Beau might mock Biff for flubbing up a popular saying. "It's make like a tree and leave, you moron!"
If they both had a personal vendetta against Jay-Jay Manners and Marty McFly - who would, most likely, end up being good friends - then I can maybe see the two of them temporarily teaming up.
If it turned that Biff Tannen actually hated Beau Middleton every much as he hated Jay-Jay Manners - which actually wouldn't be too surprising - then it'd be very interesting to see where he'd stand on that car race.
Do you think Archie Feld was very similar in personality to George McFly?
I definitely agree with you about the difference between Strickland and Kinney.

I think Biff and Beau are definitely different types of bullies. Biff is a bully hated by everyone, boys and girls alike. The only people who don't hate Biff are his lackeys. Beau is only hated by Jay Jay and his misfit friends. All the girls seem to be in love with Beau.
I think Archie is very similar to George McFly. Like George, Archie is a complete worrywart and very shy around girls.
Another similarity Jay Jay and Marty is that they both have inventors for best friends. Marty has Doc while Jay Jay has Willis from Diff'rent Strokes.
Jay Jay and Kinney really do seem like friends. When Jay Jay was sent to the office, they asked each other about their summers. Kinney ended up giving Jay Jay a ride to the dance. And Kinney was very supportive of Jay Jay kicking Beau's butt in that race.

Do you think Jay-Jay himself was a misfit, or do you think he was just someone who hung around with misfits? I can't imagine someone who looks like Michael J Fox truly being a misfit. I guess, with the exception of Frank Bannister from The Frighteners - but it was his odd mannerisms that drove people away.

I think Jay Jay had the opportunity to be friends with Beau Middleton, but he chose the misfits over being popular and that Beau hated him for that ever since. And I think he was only classified as one for hanging out with them.

I was just think about Beth's relationship with Cara and Anne-Marie. I don't think Anne-Marie ever really liked Beth, because she was jealous of how Beth was going out with Beau. Cara acted like Beth's friend a lot of the time, and you can tell that Beth was neve fully integrated into the clique. Cara snottily, in a roundabout way, informs Beth that Cara would be calling her - if Cara didn't have to talk about anything important. Of course, in the school hallway - where Jay-Jay tries to get Beth's attention - Cara acts almost like she's Beth's best friend.
Beth was probably on about the same level of the pecking scale as Jay-Jay, until she started dating Beau.
