Title: Why Doc No Longer Works At Hill Valley University
Description: A short ficlet written by me

Doc Brown sauntered through the courtyard at Hill Valley University.
"Hello Dean," Doc says to Dean Wooster.
"Doctor Brown," said Dean Wooster. "I am your superior and I suggest that you don't call me by my first name."
"I didn't know that Dean was your first name, Dean Wooster," replied Doc. "You are indeed the dean of students at this university."
"I know I am," said Dean Wooster. "But I don't want you calling me by my first name." Doc and the dean went about their usual business. The next day, Doc got fired.

Now that cracked me up! The story was brilliantly written, and I hope you write some more. It is an interesting twist of fate that Dean turned out to be his real name, as well as his title! :) Wouldn't it be funny if Marshall Strickland's first name was Marshall?

That would be funny. I actually have plans to write a trilogy of of fanfics, but I haven't found a time to write them. More like, I've been lazy. I already have ideas, plots which have sort of been borrowed from old draft scripts.
Like in my first story, Doc takes Marty back to the old west to help him and the family move back to the 1980s. But Marty runs into trouble with Buford "MadDog" Tannen again.
In the second story, Marty and Jennifer have to write papers on the hippie movement of the '60s. So they go back to 1967 to learn about it. Jules and Verne come along too. It's sort of going to be like the first draft of the second movie, but I'm making some changes to it.
I haven't quite decided what to do for the third story yet. Though, I am leaning towards Doc and Marty trying out a universe hopping phone booth and visiting other BTTF universes.

That sounds awesome! BTW, if you want your versions of Doc and Marty to hop through my BTTF universes - that's be cool. Maybe you already have your other universes picked out, though. We can collaborate, if you'd like. Maybe not do all of them, like I did in The Way We Could've Been - but maybe pick a select few, like the Twins Universe and the Almanac Universe (those two are my favourites). Maybe even include the Father Universe, unless you think it's too controversial.
BTW, what do you think of Alex PJ Fox and Fox J Michael as aliases for Marty? I started a topic in Chit-Chat about Fox being used as a first name.

Those sound like good names. With the many time periods that Marty visits, he can never have too many fake names.

Thank you! About the only decades Marty hasn't visited would be the 1910s, the 1860s, and the 1870s. The farthest back he's gone so far is 1855. I do have a future story planned where Marty and Jennifer go back to 1895 with Doc and his family for a visit, and he would be reprising his Rhett Eastwood persona. This would be a crossover story with Time After Time, where HG Wells and Amy Robbins (Mary Steenburgen's character) end up visiing Hill Valley.

Isn't HG Wells a real guy?
bttf44 - September 11, 2007 04:03 AM (GMT)
Yeah, he is, but there was a movie filmed in 1979 called Time After Time - where HG Wells has his own time machine, and he ends up in 1979.
