I have to finish up with That '70s Story and Back to the Beginning. Then I have a couple other idea for stories that I'd like to write.

One of them is where Marty goes to 1997, and he sees Jules and Verne as teens - and he also briefly meets his older self, who is a successful rock star. Jennifer would probably be pregnant with Marlene at the time. The other one is where Marty goes to the year 2006, and sees Haven Brown as a teen. Older Marty and Jennifer, with young Marlene and Marty Jr, will probably make a brief appearance - but they won't have as major of a role.

What I need help with is thinking about a reason for Marty to visit those years. I feel as if I may have overused the "running an errand for Doc" prompt, and I don't want Marty to use the time machine without Doc's permission - which is what is actually happening with the three generations of youngsters in the Haven Universe. So I just need a little help with thinking of a prompt. I want to try to get both stories started this month.

The other idea is an idea for a Christmas story, which is still a few months away. The idea I have, though, involves either Marty Jr or Marlene reliving either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day over and over again. Most likely Marty Jr expresses a wish to Tabitha Palmer that everyday could be Christmas Day, and this is a spell that somehow goes awry. Since Marlene already learned her lesson about the value of Christmas the previous year - maybe what happens is that Marlene gets a little too overly enthusiastic about Christmas, that she drives everyone batty. Anyway, I'm wondering if you have any suggestions.

You should have both Marty Jr and Marlene relive Christmas everyday. That actually reminds me of the Disney movie where Huey, Dewey, and Louie wish it was Christmas everyday. Then they got bored of it really quickly.

As for why Marty visits those years, maybe he's just curious about what happens.

Yeah, that's probably a better idea. At some point of the story, they seek out Doc's help - but the time machine is momentarily unable to skip forward in time.

Here's something I thought of. Maybe I could combine the story ideas for 2006 and 1997. Maybe what happens is that, after Marty heads to 2006, Kimberly O'Malley manages to uncover an old collection that Haven buried back in 1997 - that is worth bucks in 2006. So Marty and Haven to back to the year 1997 to replace Haven's prized collection with a replica version of the collection. After they returnm to 2006, they realize that Kimberly is now being charged with fraud. How does that sound?

I should finish up That '70s Story first, and then I'll maybe start outlining my ideas for that story! :)
