Title: Bttf Using Buffy Characters
Description: Just for fun...

As I was looking for more BTTF stories, I found one that attempted to use characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Has anybody here ever watched that series? In the one story I read, it placed Spike in the role of Marty, had Buffy and Angel being his parents, and had Xander in the role of Dr. Brown. The story was never completed, though.
About the only role that seemed to really match up was Principal Snyder in the role of Mr. Strickland. It's been a long time since I watched the series, and I don't recall Principal Snyder ever using the word "slacker" - but he was just as bad as Strickland. In fact, Snyder was probably even worse - if you can believe it. Also, Mayor Richard Wilkins certainly wasn't Goldie Wilson. In spite of Goldie's efforts to replace the clock tower against the wishes of many, he seemed pretty benevolent. Richard Wilkins, on the other hand, was not.
I think Oz (Daniel Osbourne) would probably fit the role of Marty the best. He was pretty much your cool guitarist from a high school rock band who wasn't a snob. Even though, he didn't really come along until season two - if I remember correctly. Xander would be too geeky for the role, while Angel would be too broody. I was thinking Angel would probably best fit the role of George, which would put Buffy in the role of Lorraine. Xander might make a better Marty Jr, while Anya might make a good Marlene. Another possibility could be Xander and Anya in the roles of Dave and Linda. Willow would have the role of Jennifer, since Oz is her boyfriend. I think Warren Mears would probably best fit the role of Biff Tannen, even though he didn't come along until the college years. Cordelia and Harmony would probably best fit the roles of Babs and Betty. They weren't exactly friends with Buffy, even though Buffy was originally accepted into the in-crowd. Babs and Betty did seem a little snobbish, though - from the way they were looking at George at Lou's Cafe. Jonathon would probably best fir the role of Lester the Wallet Guy.
As for who would best fit the role of Doc Brown, I guess Rupert Giles would be the best candidate - even though they don't seem to have much in common. They both play the role of the older mentor-type person, though - even though Dr. Brown displays more mad scientist tendancies. Maybe Spike and Drusilla would best fit the roles of Griff Tannen and the girl lackey (who is, amazingly enough, called Spike). Spike has mellowed out in the latter episodes, but he was real bad when he first showed up on the scene.
Anyway, what are your thoughts? I know it's not a perfect fit, and I would love to hear if anyone has any better suggestions - and can match up any of the other characters.
I guess this is kind of a silly topic, but this is just for the fun of it! :)

One thing I had just realized, Strickland and Snyder were both short and bald. At least, Strickland seemed to be short, as he didn't seem to be much taller than Marty. I think the two of them would make good running buddies.

Strickland did seem to be short. His and Marty's noses almost touched each other.

Have you ever watched Buffy? I haven't watched it in ages - and I have, since then, lost interest in vampires and stuff. The principal from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Willard Kraft, was also about as bad as Strickland. At least Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell seemed pretty nice, even if he did sometimes get a little annoyed with Zack Morris.

I've seen Buffy. Didn't really care for it.
I used to watch Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Kraft seemed lenient compared to Strickland.
Saved by the Bell is a great show. I kind of noticed that AC Slater has some similarities to Marty McFly. They're both short. They both have dimples. They both have pretty girlfriends. (I always thought that Jessie was prettier than Kelly.) Slater is also similar to Alex P. Keaton. They're both male chauvinists who fall for liberal/feminist types. They're both friends with Nerds whose names begin with S.

Actually, I don't think Alex P Keaton was as bad as AC Slater. I actually see Zach Morris as being the Marty-type character. I'm trying to think of how we can do Back to the Future with Saved by the Bell characters, or Sabrina the Teenage Witch characters. Harvey Kinkle is kind of like Marty, even though I never under understood why he was best friends with Brad. Brad seemed to be a bit of a jerk. On a side note, Harvey even had his feet tickled by Willard Kraft in that one episode. With Saved by the Bell, Screech would probably make a better Dave or Marty Jr, than George. I'm not sure who would best fit the role of George. Although, putting Lisa and Screech into the roles of Lorraine and George would be pretty interesting.

Yeah, Zack Morris is the biggest slacker on the show, but he actually gets along with Mr. Belding, unlike Marty who is deeply loathed by Strickland. I guess Kelly would be Jennifer if Zack is Marty. I wonder who Slater and Jessie will be.

George and Lorraine McFly? Or would Screech and Lisa be the better candidates for those roles? Yeah, Mr. Belding was a lot nicer than Strickland.
Hmm, what about the Back to the Future using characters from Family Ties? Alex P Keaton and Marty McFly are both played by Michael J Fox, but their personalities are quite different. Although, there are a few similaries.
Also, who from the abovementioned TV shows would fill in the role of Doc Brown? Also, Biff Tannen?
I have an idea. What if Skippy is Alex's father, and Alex goes back in time and helps Skippy to gain the confidence to ask his future wife out. But then, who would be Alex's mother?

On the other hand, maybe it's better to just leave the Keaton family alone! :) This would then leave us with the question of how exactly would Alex P Keaton endanger his own existence, and what would he have to do to fix that?
The other thing I thought about it how Mr. Belding actually does care about the people who get picked on, while Mr. Strickland not so much. The principal of Harding High (I'm not sure if he was ever given a name) doesn't seem to be too fond of Alex - but it's certainly not because Alex is a slacker. Alex actually did disobey him, when it came to what to put into the school newspaper.

There do seem to be a lot of similarities between Marty McFly and Zack Morris. They both seem to have great guitar talent, and they both headed a rock band - although, it seems like Kelly and Jessie alternate with being part of the Zack Attack (as they're never in the band together). Draft Four of Back to the Future suggests that Marty can be a schemer, much like Zack Morris - as he tries to set the fire alarm off, so that he can get out of detention.
Come to think of it, Screech is kind of like a combination between Doc Brown and Skippy Handelman. Screech seems to be very smart, so smart that he's even created a robot with artificial intelligence. Skippy really wasn't smart at all, but they both seem to display a similar personality. It's interesting to note that, in the episode where Zack hurts his leg, he has a dream where he died - and that everyone in heaven looks like Screech. Zack's guide (who also looks like Screech) happens to call himself Skippy.
