Title: Marty Mcfly And Alex P Keaton
Description: Would they get along?

Hopefully, I should get no sarcastic answers on this board. While they are pretty much world apart in many areas, including musical tastes - they do seem to have a similar sense of humour, and they do seem to respond to many situations in a similar way.
We don't really know anything about Marty's political views, if he even has any. In my fanfic universe, I made him pretty well politically moderate. I means, both conservatives and liberals can be pretty intolerant of people on the other side. I did make him a bit of a cosmopolitanist, though - and he is somewhat opposed to the concept of national pride.
I think both Marty and Alex are nice people, overall - even if Alex can be a little opinionated at times. With Alex, though, the phrase "opposites attract" seem to apply much of the time. We don't know if Marty and Alex would be best friends, but they would probably get along pretty well.

I think they would get along. Upon seeing each other, they would ask themselves "Who's that good-looking guy?" in a non-creepy heterosexual sort of way, of course. Opposites attract really does apply to Alex, because almost every girl he pursues is more on the liberal side. My favorite out of Alex's girlfriends would have to be Ellen Reed, played by MJF's real life wife, Tracy Pollan.

Marty would probably be curious about this other guy who looks like him, as would Alex. Of course, I put them in two different universes. I can imagine that Marty would enjoy watching Family Ties, but Alex may not be as much into Back to the Future. It would be interesting if Ellen Reed caught Back to the Future in the theatre, before Alex met her in college during the fall. BTW, I wonder who MJF would marry in the Family Ties Universe.

I think Alex would be ashamed of today's Republicans.

Yeah, I think he would, too. BTW, have you ever watched Spin City?

Nope

Well, Michael J Fox plays a character who is just as opinionated as Alex P Keaton - except that he's a liberal. His name is Mike Flaherty.

I think Alex P. Keaton would most likely be Libertarian, these days.

Yeah, that's probably about right! He also wasn't very religious, even though he did believe in God.
