I was born in 1977, so I was a kid during the '80s. My childhood wasn't all the best, but I do have some fond childhood memories about the '80s. I admit that that's part of the reason why I wanted Doc and Clara to raise Jules and Verne up in the '80s. Of course, the other reason is that I didn't like the idea of Doc and Marty being separated. Then, there is also the fact that staying in the past can be risky on the space-time continuum.
