Elizabeth Shue's version of Jennifer really annoyed me.

I didn't think either of them looked much like Lea Thompson.

I guess I was asking, because of the theory that the Bobs came up with about the McFly men being attracted to women who remind of their mothers. I guess not everyone agrees, though - and who's to say that Lorraine and Maggie don't have a common ancestor somewhere (not that Lorraine would necessarily have to be a decendant of Maggie). I'm mostly playing devil's advocate with this question, since I never did establish the two of them being closely related in my fanfic universe. The question is, though, how close is too close to be related? Many people don't even know who their second cousins are.

I remember in one of your stories, we learn that Jennifer's parents are second cousins. Maybe they didn't even know that they had a common ancestor until after they got married.

Claudia Wells was born in Malaysia but grew up in San Francisco, the perfect scapegoat for out-of-timers.

You know, I didn't even think about that. There is a major time difference between Malaysia and North America. Perhaps, it was still July 4th in North America, when Claudia Wells was born in Malaysia.
BTW, does anyone know anything about Claudia Wells? Does she actually have roots in Malaysia, or did her parents just happen to be in Malaysia for a vacation?

You know, we really don' know much about her at all. If not for Back to the Future, she maybe would've never become famous. That's why Claudia Wells is pretty unheard of in my BTTF fanfic universe - while Michael J Fox is still very famous.

To be fair, Elisabeth Shue is a good actor in her own right. I think it's just there was more chemistry between Claudia and Michael - and, also, Claudia was the original.
