Some of you might be familiar with Weird Al Yankovic and his AL-TV specials.

Over the years, he's done 8 or 9 of them on MTV/VH1 since 1984. Basically, he'll do just funny stuff on the air, such as mock-interviewing popular music artists of the day. Meaning, he'll tape himself saying something and then splice it in to 'fit' with an original interview. Quite fun IMHO.

Of course, he'll also talk to Harvey, his famous 'Wonder Hampster', treat himself to Twinkie Wiener sandwiches, among other things. :lol:

Anyway, how many have you seen, and what did you think?

The only one that I remember seeing was the most recent Al-TV for Weird Al's new album, Poodle Hat. I loved it! It was hilarious!

I also saw the Behind the Music for Weird AL which was funny and a good biography also.

I hope that Weird Al releases all his AL-TV speicals on DVD. He already released all (24!) of his music videos on DVD, so hopefully these will follow soon.

I sometimes listen to his songs. And i only saw his movie UHF....i think that's wat its called.

Let's say anyone who likes something by him (be it that movie or his music) will like AL-TV. And yeah, Alt is right, I too would love to see those 8-9 specials on DVD or video. I once heard that's unlikely to happen due to getting the rights for the shows. :( Too bad.

So, everyone, what's your favorite Al song? There's a lot I really like, but I think my favorite one is "Everything You Know is Wrong" from his "Bad Hair Day" album. It's so random--its lyrics crack me up and I love the melody!! :lol:

I like "Eat It"

I like "Amish Paradise," mostly because I like the "Gangsta's Paradise" tune. Coolio, just let him make fun of your song and stop whining!

I like The Saga Begins. I'm a big Star Wars fan

Yeah, Blind Spot actually told me about it. :( That's really too bad. I guess that's a lesson to us all to make sure the chimney is open before we light a fire (I believe that's how they died).

On a more positive note, another Weird Al song I like is Dare to Be Stupid. The video is mad funny too. :lol:

I like every Al song basically. :D Picking just one is too hard, but I'd probably say In 3-D was his best 80's album, and Bad Hair Day was the best from the 90's.

However, have any of y'all heard an original he does, called "Young Dumb & Ugly" from Alapalooza? It's so funny, I've been listening to it alot lately. He sings in a high nasaly voice of a teenage troublemaker and sings about everything they do. :lol:

I love Weird Al's music.

My fav is Albuquerque! I said A, A, L, L, B, B, U, U . . . . . Querque!!

It's made me want to go to the place where the towels are oh so fluffy!

I also like his latest album. It's so cool.
