Fanfiction
What do you look for in a fanfic?
I'm mainly into Back to the Future, even though Family Ties is my secondary fandom. It's pretty hard to find some good fanfic for Family Ties, though. Mostly, I like stories that have Marty travelling through time or alternate realities. I also like stories that focus on the McFly children (Marty Jr and Marlene). I tend to shy away from fics that have Doc choosing to stay in the Old West with his family - although Mike Nichols has some good scripts that focuses on Marty's and Jennifer's third (unexpected) child, Scott.
Do you even like fanfics?
I sure do! It's especially nice to have fanfic for Back to the Future, since it would be nice to believe that Marty and Doc will have more adventures after the end of the trilogy.
Do you write them?
I certainly do. Down With Big Brother was my first, which is a crossover with George Orwell's 1984 Universe. I thought it would be neat to compare the real 1984 (actually 1986) with what Orwell had predicted for that year. I plan to write a similar story comparing 2015 as portrayed in BTTF2 with what it will most likely be like in reality. It's only eight years away, now. I wasn't sure if it would become a regular occurrence, but I quickly became hooked.
Does slash of any kind scare you?
No, not really! I think slash can be tastefully done.

Yeah, I do.
What type of fanfics do you like?
Mainly fics that have time travel or alternate realities in it - even though I do have a weakness for friendship fics, too.
